Played on Saturday, 6/25, at 6:30am, day 2 of our GK weekend with John_T and Williebeamon14. We were joined by a local and prepaid $44 each online (no extra fees). The 6:20 group was waiting for someone so they traded to get us out early and we finished in exactly 4 hours. Course was in very good condition. Absolutely lush fairways that were carpet like. Rough was about 2-3 inches closer to the fairway but gradually faded away from the fairway. A few bunkers were still pretty wet but as it warmed up, they dried out, but still a bit heavy. Just about half the greens seemed to have a fungus issue causing some dirt areas, which seemed to be almost out of play with the hole placements today. However, it will be interesting if they can get it under control. Full disclosure, I love Soule Park. There's just something about this course that makes me happy. Design. Conditions. Experience. Views. And a steal of a price. I would play here every time if I could, but early, as the late afternoon rounds tend to slow down. Only complaint, no bartender until 10, no drink cart either, but cold water coolers on the course. Food was good afterwards.

Played here with a 7:10 tee time Sunday morning. Three of us rode while one person in our group walked. Started a few minutes late and pace was pretty slow at about 4:50. No long waits, but just a busy course on a weekend morning. Perfect weather to start but by about 10:00 a.m. it was very hot.

Conditions are very good. Greens are smooth, medium speed and held full shots well. I found them tricky to read, over-reading some breaks and significantly under-reading others. Greens on Nos. 8 & 9 had many problem spots in some areas, but they seemed to place the pins strategically to avoid those areas. Fairways were fantastic, and so was the primary rough. The natural areas farther offline can provide some real challenges for finding balls. Bunkers had very nice sand. Orange tee boxes were good; no complaints.

This was only my second time here. I really enjoy the layout and the gorgeous setting. I didn't remember so many power lines visible from the course, however. Definitely recommended.

Walked the Orange Tees this afternoon 5/9/22 at 1:20pm with my buddy Matt with about a club wind on the front nine and around 70 degrees perfect day for golf. Pop was 4 hrs behind a mini lady's tourney. They just played the front and we flew around on the back nine as a twosome.

Very friendly/professional golf staff in the shop. The restaurant/bar is completed and it looks beautiful. Range on mats/nice sized putting green with a seperate chipping/bunker area behind the 18th green.

Man driving in you can see what great shape Soule is in. They had a women's open qualifier here recently and they really have the tees, fairways and rough super lush and beautiful. The fairways are in the 9. 5/10 range like butter. Perfect Palm Springs lies. Rough is lush 2 to 3 inches lining the fairways and in beautiful shape 8.5/10. Tees lush and mainly level 8.5/10. Greens were rolling medium speed today. Some of the greens were browning in areas as I'm sure they had them rolled and smooth for the ladies event. They held shots and rolled beautiful 8/10. Was in bunker on 17 that had perfectly raked sand. All the bunkers have white fluffy pancake material . Rated 8.5/10.

I recently played North Ranch and Saticoy CC and this course right now is right up there with these conditions. Probably the best maintained public course right now in the area.

Highly recommended.

Played 2-21-22 walking for $34 teeing off 6:40 and finishing at 10:30, much slower than normal because of a slow threesome three groups ahead. Tee boxes were in real good shape, cut semi-tight with good coverage and mostly level. Fairways were very lush and green and in great shape. there were a few minor small bare spots but mostly great lies with good padding. Rough was about 2 inches longer than fairways and in good shape. They seem to be letting some of the native grasses that are a little out of the way grow pretty long and thick. Was in two greenside bunkers that were in real good condition with a good layer of white sand. Greens were in real nice condition rolling smooth at medium pace and playing semi-soft. There were a lot of brown spot on holes 8 and 9, but it did not effect the roll. Very friendly and easy check in pro shop. Overall great conditions and well worth a trip to play.

Walked the Oak Tees today joined by a friendly 3 ball. Pop 4 hrs 25 minutes on another beautiful Ojai weather day around 70 degrees with no wind. Teed off couple minutes before 12 noon.

Greens were in fantastic shape. Rolling pure semi quick and in great shape. Rated 8/10

Fairways just enough padding, more thin than lush but decent lies. Tons of roll. I cleared the bunkers on 9 on my drive and my ball ran onto the green with about 30 yds of roll. Fairways 6.5/10.

Tees were level and in good shape. Nice to see the back Tees running again on hole 4 as that area was closed my last couple rounds here. Rated 7/10

Was not in any bunkers but they looked raked and there beautiful beach sand self.

Rough was cut low just longer than the fairways and in decent shape. Rated 6.5/10.

Love me some Soule. Course in the Fairways will only get lusher come spring. Highly recommend this track.

Played 1-31-22 early morning walking as a single for $34, finishing in about 2 1/2 hours. Tee boxes were mostly level with good coverage on most holes with a few being a little thin. Fairways were in nice shape, mostly green with some yellow showing through on some, lies were good but a little thin, not much roll out do to fairways being a little damp. Rough was cut pretty low along fairways, and a little lusher around greens maybe 2 inches. Was in one greenside bunker that was in great shape and well groomed with a good layer of nice soft white sand. Greens were in great shape, a little soft but rolling smooth at medium/fast pace. For winter course is in real good condition.

Walked the Oak Tees Monday 1/10/22 with my buddy Steve and buddy Pedro needing to play the front nine twice to get 18 in just before complete darkness. Couldn't have had a better weather day around 70 degrees with no wind and with the sun setting on our second nine and nobody on the course it was breathtaking some of the sights we saw.

Super friendly staff inside the proshop and the new restaurant if you have not been inside looks awesome. They have a bar area where you can sit outside swivel your chair around and watch people hitting off the first tee.

Soule Park is in good condition for January and how much rain we endured and how cold the Temps get overnight.

Greens in good to great shape rolling pure and smooth. Semi quick holding shots nicely. Several tourneys in front of us so we fixed a couple extra ballmarks we saw. Rated solid 8/10

Fairways 50/50 green to brown all padded with good lies even for winter. Rated 7/10

Tees mostly level and in good shape. Some Tees are in the shade most of the day and are damp. Rated 7/10.

Was in greenside bunker first nine on hole 3 that had beautiful raked beach sand. The greenside bunkers here are beautiful and thick. Rated 8.5/10.

Rough was mowed down, thick in some spots and in decent to good shape. Rated 7/10.

Highly recommended..have fun. Great course

Jan. 10, 2022, I had the importunity to play Soule Park Golf Course with my buddies Gary and Steve that came to visit. Our Tee time was at 1:30pm and went out to the golf course thinking we could get on a little early. But to our surprised the golf course was pack, they had the senior and skin tournaments.

Gentleman in the Proshot try his best to get us early but there was not way. We went out exactly at our Tee Time. We waited very much in every hole in the front nine. We finished our first nine by 4:30pm and played the front night again where we had nobody in front and finished our 18 holes in the dark. We had a blast.

Now talking about the golf course, as Soul Park is having so many golfers the tees are totally getting bit up most of them need a little TLC, to many ball debits and not level to get place your ball. The Fairways are totally feeling the spring season, rough was great and the sand bunkers were just beautiful had plenty of sand in them and it was easy to get out. The greens were in good shape the ball was running well but again to many ball makers that our fellow golfers are not taking care of them.

Customer services as always class A. Over all I rate this Golf Course a 7.5. I hope this review is helpful, as I love playing Soule Park and having dinner with my buddies after our game.

Played here on Tues. 10/26 with a 12:40 tee time. Senior rate with a cart comes to $46 weekdays which is a great price for such a great track. We got out about 20 minutes late and it was a very slow round waiting on every hole. Took 5 hours and we barely finished before dark.
Tee boxes were good and fairways are great with good coverage and a good amount of roll.
Bunkers had lots of very soft sand almost too much.
Greens are good but had some poorly repaired ball marks. The had shaved run ups around them so you could putt from 10-15 yards. The were fairly fast but held lines well.
Other than the pace of play it was a great day with clear skies and just a slight breeze. I wish this course was closer to home so I could play more often.Its a very fun layout in a canyon without homes.
