Hit a small bucket to warm up on the all grass range. Did not hit the putting green being a little late to arrive.
Customer service was top notch all the way from having my clubs picked up at my car to the very friendly guy in the shop and the starter who drove us out to the first tee box.
Most tee boxes were level and had good coverage. One of the par threes was a little beat up but you were still able to find an ok spot.
The fairways were thin but still had grass. Not to bad for winter conditions.
The rough was almost non existent no longer than the fairways but brown and dormant
I was in one bunker and it was a little thin.
Greens looked to have some kind of fungus problem but putted fine with very few ball marks.
The course was fun but nothing really special. I don't think it would be worth the rack rate at this time of year.
We were a threesome behind a foursome and we waited on quite a few shots but played in right at four hours.

Day 2 of the mini-golf vacation. Used GK Event Vouchers that we had won previously. Staff was very friendly. a pretty crowded course on a Sunday and teed off about 5mins past the scheduled time. Course was simply perfect from the fairways and greens. Bunkers were lacking sand, but started to think that is just common with these desert courses subjected to wind. The track itself doesn't really stand out, but was consistent throughout as one might expect from a Troon course.

Played on Sunday, 6:45a tee time, with John_T and joined by a single. Paid $29 resident rate, an incredible value. Check in staff, cart guys, and starter were all friendly and talkative. Saw the drink cart at least twice each 9. My only complaint was with the pace. We started about 5 minutes late (as the 5 or 6th group out), and waited on every shot. The group ahead was obviously playing the wrong tees (starter even mentioned it) and waiting on shots they had no chance of reaching. Marshal was around a few times, mentioned some slow play, but we didn't see a difference. I felt bad for the groups stacking up behind. We finished in just over 4.5 hours. A bit slow for an early morning.

Now to the good part, the course. All grass driving range ($3 small bucket, about 25 balls), large putting green (the putting green was thin in a few spots, but good warm up), and a chipping/bunker area. Tee boxes were in nice condition, level and easy to find a spot to tee it up. Fairways were pretty good. Not carpet like lush, but not thin, and no brown/dirt areas. Rough varied from just a bit longer than fairway to thick, long, ball hiding grass. Greens were excellent. They held shots, rolled true, and had very little damage.

Overall, excellent value on an under-rated course. I love the variety of the holes, no 2 alike, with nice mix of short and long holes. If you don't mind the houses, with some in play, it's very enjoyable.

Chose this course because they provided me with the first time off, and the cost of a Friday am round was very reasonable. The course itself was nothing special, nice, but not memorable. It was 108 degrees on Thursday, so getting off first allowed us to beat the heat, finished the round in 2hrs 20min. (Still was in the 90's when we finished) Condition of the course was very nice, however I did not care for the green surfaces??? They rolled OK, but just had a funny texture to them. Otherwise not complaints on conditioning.

Just finished playing Aliante and the conditions were mostly good. Pace of play was right at 4hours and I think we could have finished in a hair over 3 hours if we weren't stuck behind a slowish 4 som... Continue »

Just finished playing Aliante and the conditions were mostly good. Pace of play was right at 4hours and I think we could have finished in a hair over 3 hours if we weren't stuck behind a slowish 4 some. $35 for afternoon out of state rate was good. Tees...good for the most part with no big complaints except that the tee markers were at extreme angels and not perpendicular to the fairways. Fairways...good shape and the ball would sit up nicely. Greens.... Slowish and a little bumpy. Ball would only break about half what they looked like and you do have to pay attention to where the Strip is, putts break towards the Strip. Normal summertime desert greens. Bunkers... Did have sand in them but some of the traps had rocks. Seemed like the closer you got to 18 the more the rocks were noticeable and the greens would have these rocks on them near the traps. Rough..was nice and was a good challenge. A few spots the grass was not so penal, but overall it was good Over all I liked the course and would play it again. Just wish the greens were faster.

Played on a busy Sunday, 5/25, with a 7am tee time. 1st time I have had my clubs picked up in the parking lot. Fast check in, and starter comes to the range to take you to the 1st tee. Drink cart was around about 4 times, I was a little surprised that it was running that early. Nice practice areas with a all grass driving range, large putting green, and a separate chipping/bunker area. We played in 4 hrs, 20 minutes, great for a busy day. Conditions were pretty good. Tee boxes were OK, looked like they had not been moved from yesterday. Fairways were good, a little dry, but no thin/dirt areas. Rough was only about 1 inch and not hard to hit from. Bunkers had improved and looked as if they have added new sand. Greens were firm and fast. Very little ball marks and putts rolled smooth. Overall, I enjoy this course. Very straight forward off the tee with no tricks or blind shots. It does run through a Sun City community, but the fairways are pretty wide and the houses are close on a few holes. For someone who sprays the driver, I think it's "friendlier" than other residential courses in the area (Los Prados, Painted Desert). We paid $44 residential rate, which felt about right.

Played Monday, 4/7 with John_T. We paid $28 for a 2:30 tee time (twilight starts at 2), and a buddy joined us for the front 9 only ($20). I would say the course was OK. Very nice practice area: large all grass driving range, a nice putting green, and a separate chipping and bunker area. Customer service was good, check in fast and easy, and the starter came to the range to get us. We saw the drink cart about the 3rd hole, unfortunately, it was the last trip around for her.

Tee boxes were mostly level, except for 2 or 3 that were placed at the front of the box, leaving a downhill lie. Fairways were fairly green and lush, with some thin areas, mostly in the lower areas. They were firm, and had lots of roll. The rough was non-existent. The bermuda grass is just coming back, resulting in some patchy areas, and very thin lies. Bunkers were in pretty good shape. Aliante has some large, deep bunkers, and the bottom was soft and fluffy. The edges seemed a bit thin, and all 3 greenside ones I was in were not raked. Greens were very firm and medium fast speed. They looked patchy, but rolled true, with few ball marks.

Pace was a bit slow at the start. It took almost a hour to play the first 3 holes before we were waved through, finishing the front 9 in 2 hours. There wasn't any groups in front of us until about 14, and we finished 18 in just under 4 hours, with almost a hour of sunlight left. Never saw a marshal during a round.

Overall, the price was right for the conditions. I've seen them better here, but the course is city owned now, and it's suffering a little. I would be disappointed paying more than $35 here. I think the design is under rated since it runs through a Sun City neighborhood, but it has a nice variety of holes and can be a challenge. It does play a bit shorter than the card, due to the firm conditions.

Wow....Played here today(3/14/14) because I'm playing in a tournament Sat. When I was done I tried to call and get my money back for the tournament because its in such bad shape. Fairways are hard and run forever, right in to the non-exisitent rough right in the desert and lost. Greens are very bumpy with 2 different grass' and quick.
I played here about 8 years ago and now remember why i never went back
