Played here last Friday morning with my dad and my son using the free twosome voucher I won at the Monarch Dunes event. Once again, thank you GK and thank you Aliante! The facility is very "junior friendly," so with the voucher the whole round only cost us $20 for the junior rate, and they said if we'd played after noon, my son would have been free.

The course is in good shape overall. They've allowed the rough to go dormant and is the most inconsistent part of the course, but that's okay because it's rough. In some spots it can be deep and your ball will sink down in it, and other parts it's very thin and your ball sits up right on top. The green fairways make a nice contrast with the dormant rough. The tee boxes were mostly good and the sand in the bunkers was excellent. The greens showed visual evidence of some sort of recent treatment (not aeration, but sort of like light cross-hatch marks across them), but it didn't really affect putts. The greens are fairly quick.

A lot of the holes look alike out here but there are some rocky hazards that force you to think your way around the course. There are also a few nice par 3s that feature little bushes planted amongst the waste bunkers. Overall, the regular rates here seem pretty affordable for Vegas golf and it's a decent option, although the design is unlikely to "wow" anybody.

Played Monday, 9/30, with a mid-morning tee time. Course re-opened on Saturday after their overseeding schedule. With that, it's still "cart path only," so there was a lot of walking and waiting. We finished in just over 4 1/2 hours, and waited on every tee. The group ahead was a few holes behind and definitely taking their time to clear. I paid $27 NLV resident rate ($33 for NV residents), which is an absolute steal right now.

The course came out of the maintenance period in terrific shape. Tee boxes were lush and obviously divot free. Some of the markers were placed at the front of the teeing grounds, leaving a few with lies that were not level. Fairways have grown in nice, lush with no bare spots. Rough was varied, some areas just a bit longer than the fairway, while other areas had thick grass that hid the ball. Sand was good for a Vegas course. Except for the 1 still wet from watering, the greenside bunkers were filled with light, fluffy sand. Greens were firm, but held shots with spin. Speed was a medium-fast, and matched the practice green.

First time I've played Aliante since Troon took over a year ago, and I love what they're doing. I love the course, with it's variety of holes, but my occasional "accuracy issues" off the tee tend to bring the houses into play and makes me nervous. Definitely a must play right now for the great price and conditions.

Las Vegas, as you all know, have been hit by a lot of rain in a very short period of time, and of course, you know what that means - flash floods!

The Aliante course's drainage and irrigation system is what saved this beautiful fun to play course from the gushing water that went by a week ago.

The #17, and #18 seem to have started the slight scalping for reseeding the fairways but still played all too good.

The staff were all attentive to our needs. Give them a hand!

The best part of our visit and play at Aliante was the good playing condition. The fairways rolled well, the greens were surprisingly rolling pretty nice and true! The bunkers I got into are alright with some good sand consistency.

Sure there were a few brown spots and some of them weren't even in play. But, the season we are in is well into September- Soooo, great job there, Aliante Supers!

Because of this experience, we would like to come back and play it again!

Had a great time playing the course, 30% discount using my Golf Card. Paul the Head Golf Professional is a class act, really knows his business. Since Troon has taken over, I must say that the course conditions, outside service and personnel has improved drastically.

The course was in very good shape, especially considering the time of year (end of August) and green fees ($17 with cart).

If you can ignore the houses that surround the course, the layout is interesting and challenging. Deep bunkers, water hazards, dry creek beds, and a few doglegs give the course variety.

Played Aliante GC in North Las Vegas on Saturday, 6/16, as part of Father's Day weekend. I haven't played here since October, and I was very happy with the conditions. Tee boxes were level and in good condition. Fairways were as good as I have ever seen them. With temps consistently above 100 now, the fairways were lush and firm with very few (if any) brown, thin spots. Greens were also in good condition. Medium/Fast and firm. I was in a few bunkers, and the sand was fluffy. Best sand for a daily fee/muni type course in Vegas. The rough was the only low mark. Inconsistent and patchy, with mixes of different grasses. Mostly 1 to 2 inches, and easy to hit out of.

Customer service was good. Pace was a little slow. First 9 took about 2 1/2 hours, but the pace picked up and we finished just over 4 1/2 hours. I saw marshals driving around, don't know if they were the reason for the faster pace on the back.

Aliante is a city owned course managed by OB Sports. It runs through a Sun City development. Most fairways/holes are lined by houses, many of them are close for someone who sprays the ball around. They have flipped the nines (without changing the numbers), with everyone starting on #10. The new back nine (1 through 9) is more open, with wider fairways. We paid $26 each for a Saturday morning, 8am tee time, using their tee time app. Well worth that price.

Played Saturday morning as part of a class reunion get-together. The course just came out of over-seeding and is in the best shape I have seen in a while. This was my go-to course for a long time, but I left due to the conditions. If they stay this way, I'll be back. Tee boxes were good, but some of today's tees were not placed on level areas. Fairways were great, the rye grass has grown in nice, and was just cut. It was like hitting off carpet. I do not think they over seed the rough, so the bermuda will be going dormant shortly. Rough was around 1 inch, was easy to hit out of in most places. Greens were firm, but a little shaggy. They were running a bit slow. Customer service was great. Pace was a little over 4 1/2 hours, but that was due to cart path only rules. The course is in a Sun City community, surrounded by houses, with some distance between the tees. That being said, I would love to walk this course with a push cart since there is not a lot of elevation change. I paid $32, for a weekend morning with the OB Sports Card.

The course looks like it hasn't been watered in months,i'm ok with the rough being in bad shape during the winter ( been in the 60's and 70's the last month ) but the fairway was rock hard with hardly any grass on it, it was like hitting off hardpan dirt. The greens were just as bad, total discoloration from dried out areas all over each green. I play many courses here in Vegas and these are conditions that you normally find on a municipal course in the dead of summer when they charge you $20. The group in front of me walked off after 9 asking for a refund due to the conditions.

Played Saturday 3/5 with a 8:58a tee time. Teed off at 9:15. Front nine was slow, our 4 ball was behind a 3some waiting for the group ahead to clear when they were not in range. Back 9 opened up after they quit. Finished in just under 5 hours. Course was firm and fast. Rough was dormant. A lot of roll in the fairway, but no bare spots. Greens were firm and fast. They looked thin, but were consistent with few ball marks. Sand was decent, not fluffy but not hard packed. Tee boxes were the worst part. A few uneven boxes, a #3 was on a mound. Nice range and putting green was consistent with the greens.
