The course was in fantastic shape!, for the most part. It was a little bit soggy in spots, which didn't really affect play, except for in the bunkers. Where the bunkers were dry and groomed, they were great and fluffy. Where they were exposed to some of the overwatering, they were too wet, puddled, and/or hard as a rock where it turned into mud and dried. The greens were rolling excellently and quickly (approximately 10 on the stimp, if I had to guess). They were in extremely great shape, with not too many ball marks, but, as every course has, there were plenty of hacks that are either too fat, too lazy, and/or too stupid and disrespectful to fix there ball marks. So, I was repairing mine, plus 5 on most of the greens. The rough was thick and lush and, therefore, penalizing. That contributes to making the course look so well, but sure does increase the difficulty if you are spraying it off the tee. The beverage cart came around often, on this day, but there wasn't a ton of play going on at the time. The carts and GPS worked great! I have always really liked/enjoyed this course, but there have been times where I have loved it. Today was one of those days. My ONLY complaint has always been the practice area. The driving range is excellent, as well as the putting green. However, there is no chipping area and that is unacceptable. There is plenty of room for them to create one. The fact that they never have is a head-scratcher. With the Players Card, this was only $43 and worth every penny. I will be back!

Played Friday, 6/3, with a 8:20 tee time with my brother Paul (williebeamon14), mpisarski01, and Paul's buddy Sam. Played here a few times in the last couple of weeks, including Memorial Day Monday, so this is going to be a hybrid review.

Customer service is very good. There's a bag drop and if you skip it, they meet you as you walk up. Easy check-in. Drink cart was around a few times, but doesn't start until 8. The bar/snack bar wasn't open for the super early Memorial Day round, and snack bar was open at 8 when we made the turn, but was at 10 for the second round.

Course is probably in the best condition I've seen in awhile. After having issues at the end of last summer, it has bounced back really well. Tee boxes are mostly level, with only issues on some of the par 3s, but those have large boxes to move around. Fairways are lush and fully covered, with the exception of the short par 4 #11, where they made it Cart Path Only to help. Bunkers may be the only complaint, as some were hard packed, and a few had standing water, including the right fairway on #10 which was completely filled and appeared to be a new water hazard. The greens were in excellent shape. Pretty smooth and less ball mark damage than Monday's round.

I love playing this course. I can't think of two holes that are the same and a nice mix of long/short holes. There are many many bunkers though, maybe a few more than necessary for a residential course. While it's not a must play, it's not a bad option if you can get a decent rate in the current Vegas high price (no summer rates) climate.

Played on Friday, 2/11, with a 7:30 tee time, $65 with the Arroyo/Siena card. Business seemed a bit slow for Super Bowl weekend on a perfect Vegas weather day. Range is all grass and is included, plus a large putting green in the starting area which matched the course speed.

Course is in good shape. The fairways were almost completely lost over the summer and they are coming back nicely, there are still some areas they are working on, but easily the best conditions I've seen here since last spring. Rough is about 1-2 inches, just enough to cause some issues. I don't know if they worked on the bunkers, but the 1 I was in was in great condition, no rocks/pebbles, and some slightly heavy sand. The greens were just awesome. Some ball marks, but receptive, and the fastest I've seen them. I've been playing consistently for the last couple of years, and I've never seen some of the hole locations I saw today. They were definitely set up for tournament conditions with lots of pins tucked in corners and behind bunkers.

Again, Siena is more an above average locals' course and not a destination, but it's a fun course to play. Nice mix of par 3s and it seems all the par 4s are different. It it continues to improve the conditions, it's making it back in the rotation.

The foundation put on a great event with some pretty cool swag. Tons of food and drinks. The breakfast was "continental", but the lunch was burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, beans and all the fixins.

Now for the course, meh!!! Do i dare say that I've seen worse conditions??? Wild Horse 3 years ago???

The tee boxes were full of what I think was crab grass. The fairways were bare or muddy in most spots. There were a bunch of spots where the netting from the sod was visible. Cleaning a muddy club was common for today and the birds were more than grateful for the seed.

The eighth green was full of swan poop, which made it hard to chip on.

Now to the greens. Other than the 8th, they were actually in really good shape. BUT, there were a ton of divots. Does anyone at this course fix them???

The sand traps were really nice. Only one or two were muddy. Overall they were very playable.

There was water everywhere, cart girl was readily available as well.

The carts were decent. Speakers, USB and GPS were available.

I've played his course many times and I actually really enjoy it. I hope they bring it back to it's normal conditions. I would play it again, but not for more than $40.

Played Siena twice in the last 8 days (Friday/Saturday), both with an earlyish tee time. As always here, staff is on point. If you don't use the bag drop, the attendant walks out to your car to grab the clubs.

Course has a full grass driving range which is included. Also a large putting green with multiple tiers.

The course has taken some beating from the recent monsoon rains but is still very good. It's just soaked and soggy in spots. Tee boxes are mostly level, but a few are getting shaggy. Fairways are a mix bag, some are lush, but a handful show signs of verticutting with large spots of dead, hardpan. It seems when they get a mix of high heat and lots of rain, they get a fungus that kills off the grass, reminds me of conditions in Summer 2018 when they lost almost all the fairways. The rough hasn't been cut lately and is just thick. Chances of losing a ball if you don't pinpoint where it went in. Bunkers were not good, just hard packed sand that's difficult to hit out of deep bunkers. Greens were nice, smooth and medium speed. They're really soft and receptive, but some people do not fix their ball marks, leaving a pock filled putting area.

I feel Siena treats you great on the customer service side and the course treats you fairly. If you're playing well, you score well, if you're a bit off, you're paying a price. Nice course and worth it at a nice price.

Conditions were great. Tee boxes pretty level. Fairways were lush and thick with no dead or thin areas. Rough ran from thick in some areas to less than fairway height, allowing the ball to roll into the desert area along the edges of the course. Bunkers were ok, a bit thin, no splash out sand shots. Greens were really good. A bit firm, I didn't see any ball marks, and a bit slower than usual, but smooth.

Food and beverage was on point. Drink cart was around a couple of times and we had lunch in the bar/grill afterwards. Easy check in and cart guys were attentive, walked out to my car to grab my clubs and ready at the end of the round. Only negative was the marshal, who either thought he was a comedian or just bad. We went off as a 4 behind a 2 and made the turn at 2 hours. About hole 12, the marshal pulled up and told me we needed to close the distance, which ignited my fuse. After I lost it, he acted like he was joking. Later he told us they had complaints about our music, which could not be heard more than 5 feet from our cart. Again, I think he thought he was being funny but it bombed.

Siena has grown on me as the conditions are really good. The course layout is fun and challenging. Some like it more than it's sister course of Arroyo (Red Rock) but its about the same for me.

Played on Friday, 3/5, as the second 18 of the Cinco de Marzo celebration, Noon tee time, $60ish with the Siena/Arroyo card. Easy check in. Grabbed some good food on the patio by the pond before the round with outstanding service. We were sent a little early, never saw the 3 that went off about 15 minutes earlier, or the group behind. Finished in about 4:15.

Course was in pretty good shape. Nice tee boxes with the par 3s a bit on the worn side but still playable. Fairways were pretty good, not carpet like lush, but very playable. Rough was just above the fairway, enough to give definition but not very difficult. The sand on this side of town is always a bit hardpacked and thin because of the usual breezes. Greens had a few bumps, but mostly smooth and medium/fast.

Siena is another course I have fun on, but only if I can keep it out of trouble. Lots of bunkers, but if it's in play, very easy to shoot a career round.

Course is in pretty good condition. Fairways are pretty well cover and have been gradually getting better. Visually, the rough doesn't look great, as the Bermuda is starting to go dormant, so it looks spotty with green and brown throughout. Sand was ok, depending on the bunker, I had some with decent sand and others that were basically hard pan with a thin layer (I was in lots of bunkers). The greens were outstanding, fast and receptive, but some had many unfixed ball marks.

Easy check in and the cart barn had everything set up. Drink cart was around 3-4 times and we enjoyed a drink on the patio overlooking the lagoon afterwards. Carts are new with GPS and upgraded bluetooth speakers. Large grass range (included) and a huge putting green.

C-19: masks required indoors, 2 person carts equipped with the clear bungee cord shower curtain, divot bottles are on the carts and rakes are in the bunkers. Noodles are in the cup but some are way too long.

Not a Vegas golf destination course, but a fun and relaxing round.

Looking back, I've played here every 2 years. The last time was during a bachelor party weekend where the course was DEAD.

Happy to say those days have past. Tee boxes show some wear and tear, especially on the Par 3 holes. Fairways are good, just short of great. Rough ranges from 1-2 inches. Fairways are consistent with the change from bermuda to rye, but mostly full areas with a few thin areas. Greens are the highlights. I kind of hone in the unfixed ball marks, which are plenty, but for the most part, the greens are relatively smooth, and run on the fast side of fast/medium.

Overall, a nice course. Definitely worth the $56 we paid with the Arroyo/Siena card. Design wise, nothing really to talk about, I think it's sister course Arroyo is better, but Siena beats how I've thought about it the last couple of years. Not a destination course but if you can get a nice rate, it's worth it. Fun course and will be back in the rotation.
