I made the trip out to Henderson to play Anthem Revere using the certificate for a free twosome I had won at the Eagle Falls event. I was by myself, so I figured I would just be able to play once, but the guys in the pro shop were totally cool and let me split up the rounds and play both courses (on consecutive days). That was really nice of them, and I can't thank them, enough.
As for the course, the Lexington course is really a nice layout. It winds through the hills, so the views of Las Vegas are spectacular at times. The tee shots are often challenging and offer many opportunities to lose golf balls. I was glad I had my skycaddie, because a lot of times it was hard to judge how far bunkers or landing areas were from the tees. It was also very important to hit the greens, as the areas around the greens often had long rough and were almost never level. The greens were very puttable, and usually ran at medium speed.
I would describe the overall course condition as good, considering the brutal heat and humidity. It was about 107 degrees and humid by the time I got off the course, so I completely understand a few brown spots here and there. The locals I played with and the course employees I talked to said the course will be perfect by November, and I believe them.
One area I would say definitely needs improvement is the bunkers. There are many rocks in some of the sand traps. I would authorize anyone playing the course to institute a local rule allowing for the removal of any rock affecting the play of a bunker shot.
I had a great time here, and recommend this course to anyone in the area.

The best thing about this course is that the layout makes you be creative from the tee. I teed off with driver, 3 hybrid, and 5 hybrid. On one par 5 I hit 5 hybrid,5 hybrid and 8 iron to the green. If only the conditions were better this would be a fun course to play. Most frustrating is having tee boxes that set you up with an uphill or downhill lie. Some tee placements put you on a hillock so you had to adjust your swing not to hit the ground before you can get to the ball. The course in narrow and requires precise shots. Lots of dead ares in fairways and rough. Unlevel tee boxes and hard pack sand ruin an otherwise good golf experience.

My first time at this challenging course which winds its way through many deep arroyos, taking advantage of steeply undulating terrain. I wish I could say I enjoyed it, but I have to say current course conditions are a bit sketchy. Many tees, which are small to begin with, are not very level. Fairways were mostly lush, but many areas were burnt or very thin. The rough was very thick and up to 3" deep, making it difficult for most golfers to make good contact because most every shot from the rough was either above or below your feet. Not a good situation because many shots required you to carry some sort of hazard or desert terrain. Course knowledge is key as there were many blind shots. The bunkers I saw had very little to no sand in them. Greens were decent except for the fact that I saw many unrepaired ball marks, many of which were from days ago. Is that a sign of discontent on the part of local golfers who don't bother to fix their ball marks? We started early and it appeared the front nine holes had not been changed from the day before. It got better as we made it around and the greenskeeper passed us going toward the front nine. The course personnel were great from the moment we got to the course. Guy grabs our bags and puts them on a cart while we go check in. Rapidly checked in by Chad. Maintenance guys kept a low profile while doing their jobs; one guy mowing the first fairway would shut down as we got over our second shots. Clubs got wiped clean at the end of it all. Good pace of play at just about 4 hours. We saw two cart girls about four times as well. I am happy we got a comp round courtesy of a GK raffle. I would not want to pay full rack for conditions such as this.

First time playing here, noted good service and good playing conditions all around with the exception of bunkers. Found too many small rocks mixed in with the sand. Condition of fairways and greens were excellent for this time of the year. Had a real tough time chipping out of greenside rough as the rough here is extremely dense. Course also has some elevation changes and a good view of the strip from several holes. Course was busy as our round took about 5 hrs but it didn't seem that slow.
A good course to play if you can find deals. Would not pay rack rate to play here.

Tried to play this course on 1/21 as a foursome because we heard a lot of great things. However, winds kicked up tremendously (upwards of 30+mph) and we were only able to finish 6 holes...Here are my two cents...
Service: Awesome. They are one of the few courses that offer (you have to ask about it) car service from the strip. IT is approx 30 mins to get there and would cost around $100 if you hire a car. However, they will give you a number to a car service and will pick up the tab. We complained about the wind and they gave us a rain check.
Tee box: Great condition and level
Fairways: Nice, green and lush.
Greens: smooth and fast.
Rough: Did not appear long, but would really grab a hold of the club

From the 6 holes that we played, this course looks beautiful and I would definitely come back and play it. The layout was really interesting and the view was great as well.

Played the 6th and 7th. Course is in good shape. Greens rolled well, they are tough to read. Fairways were good, a little inconsistent. Tee boxes were usually good, there were a few uneven spots. Also on a couple of tee boxes from the tips they need to trim the bushes, on 1 hole in paticular you couldn't tee off on the right 2/3 of the tee box because unless you launched your driver 20 degrees you would hit the bush in front of the box. Sand wasn't great there were a lot of little rocks in the traps. Rough was thick only complaint was there were some holes in the rough were your ball would sit making shots impossible.

Course is fun, just wish I hadn't spent so much time in the hazards. Plays a lot shorter than the yardage.

Played 11/4. Windy and cold but it was nice to golf after being on the plane for more than 6 hours. Nearly identical to Rio Secco. Course has lots of elevation changes and has very interesting layout. I don't like flat courses so this fits my style perfect for a good warm up course. Fun to golf and not too far from the airport. With the inexpensive twilight rates, its a must play. Did I mention if you have more than 2 golfers in your group, they'll even come pick you up and drop you off?

just came back from a trip to vegas and a round at the rever golf club. It was pretty easy to find the place. as you arrive they great you at the bag dropoff and have the cart with your name waitting. the range was the only thing i could find a little disapointing as you hit into a desert ans it is set up right into the wind. the guy next to me kept on chunking his swings and a bunch of sand would fly into my face. Beeing it was about 100 degrees, sweating, and sun block i felt like a breaded donut. besides that the putting greens are huge and smooth. remember everthing breaks to the strip. the course is fair and not to long. keep in the fairways because there is no breaks when your not on the grass. pure hard rocks besides that. the best part are the views and the customer service. great place to play if you have the money. One more thing on the 10th hole before you tee off look at the whole hole before teeing off. it is blind shot left and i made the mistake of following the tee box.

Fun round today with Caligolfer and another friend. 3some was first out, but frost delayed us till 8:30. Was able to get around in 3 hours. Clubhouse is nice and I was met walking to the clubhouse to have my bag taken and put on a cart with my name on it. Range is decent, grass with a few targets to hit at. Putting green was large with plenty of challenges in itself with their undulations.
The course itself is nice. Great views of either the strip in the distance, or mountains on the other side. Plenty of elevation up here as well, your ball may go a bit more than you think it would. Tee boxes were good. Fairways were pretty patchy. Some areas great green grass, others dry yellow. Pretty patchy throughout the 18 holes. Greens were firm and will only hold shots that come down from a high angle, all others will get lots of roll, possibly rolling though the green. Rough is good, throughout.
Carts have no GPS and you have to go sprinkler hunting for distances if you don't have your own GPS system.
Layout is unique and course knowledge will help tremendously. Some views off the tee show areas that look like they may open up, but don't. Many short par 4's, but these have plenty of trouble like multiple bunkers or water in front.
Had a good time. For the resident rate of 70, it is a good deal, but for rack rate of 150, I would personally probably spend my cash at other Vegas courses in better condition for a bit less.
