Got to play on Friday afternoon as a two some. Teed off at 1:45 which should have been plenty of time to play, but of course they were so freaking backed up that by 4:15 we were stuck on hole 13 and were waiting about 10-15 minutes per hole between shots.

What really irritates me the most and that we had to beg to get a "locals rate". We were told that because of the Super Bowl, they were charging non-resident rates only at $150 a round. We called BS and they did us a "favor" and only charged us $75. I'm tired of these courses taking advantage of the people who keep them going. (see my review about Chimera and their fee for pre-paying)

The course was in great shape, the greens were SUPER fast though.

That's all I have to say about that.

Read my Chimera review as a comparison, they had a $2.50 convenience fee for pre-paying. I will say, that I wanted to book this course for the following weekend and it was $121 per player. I would never pay that for this course. Outrageous.

The carts are standard, no GPS, no water, no speakers. The starter did get us out early, but it almost felt as if the marshal was following us from hole to hole, making sure we didn't slow up play. One of us almost hit him on the drive on 11 and we didn't see him after that. lol

I love Lexington, it was in great shape. $72 is about the most i'll pay though.

Revere Golf Club is one of my favorite venues and I was fortunate to play the Lexington side in a Las Vegas Realtor Tournament on 10/4 (Monday).

We were the first ones on the course since the re-seeding and they are at a strict cart path rule.

The course is in the best shape I have ever seen it. Can't say more about it. All aspects of the course were perfect.

Re-seeding did a good job.

Played on Wednesday, 6/2, with Famed02 with a 7:15 tee time for $60. Revere had a tourney out on Concord and it seemed to keep everyone away as Lex was pretty empty. Let a 2some jump ahead of us on 1, had another 2some pass us on 4, and yet another 2 pass on 10, finished just a shade over 4.

Conditions: Tee boxes were in good shape. Rough was variable, just over fairway in some spots, thick and nasty in others. Sand was ok, typical desert and consistent for Revere. Fairways were a bit interesting. Some spots of thin or dirt areas, but mostly lush green grass. Greens were ok, with an occasional brownish super thin area. The big issue was unfixed ball marks, which is a problem at Revere. With so much local play, I'm surprised by the amount, especially early in the morning.

Service was pretty good. Drink cart was racing around and saw us about 5 times through the round. Bar service when we checked in was a bit slow, I think only one guy was working the room and the bar and it took a few minutes to get served, however, he gave our drinks the attention they needed and didn't rush them.

When it comes to Revere, I'm definitely TeamConcord. Lexington just doesn't fit my eye and I'm uncomfortable on a few tees. Lex does have some nice short par 4s and #2 is a great go-for-it par 5, but the par 3s are just eh. For the price, I was happy with it.

11/07/20 Saturday at the Revere Lexington on a very windy day with a 7:50 tee time and it was a cold 52 degrees in the wind.

This is my second time at the Revere although it’s my first time to play the Lexington course. From what I remember years ago, the Concord course had much wider and generous fairways. This course surely tested our ability to stay away from the rocks if you should miss the fairways and rough. Sure enough we had one shot each that found the rocks and we all feel good about that considering the winds we’re playing in.

The pace of play was okay- we finished in 4 hours and 20 minutes. We even got in front of the guys ahead at the turn.

The roughs were lush, healthy and about four inches deep in majority throughout the course.
The fairways were also lush and had great coverage, but there were more than a few unfilled divots which were disappointing to see but fortunately we weren’t in any of it.
The teeing grounds were a bit used up in the gold tees and some areas were uneven though not severe.
The fairway bunkers looks nice from a distance with its bright white sand but I wasn’t able to test it. Judging by the two guys with us who were in it a couple times, they were able to come out without any issues so I thought it was okay. The green side bunkers however were pretty good. I even got up and down a couple of times from it and it had ample sand.
The greens rolled nice and fast- may be 11-12, but again very disappointing to see lots of un fixed ball divots. Luckily I don’t remember any of us bumping in those deep divots.
There were also some bare areas along the fringe where normal traffic paths enter/exit the green on several of them.

All in all the course was very playable.
The beverage cart came by a few times. The staff were attentive to us at check in and the cart guys were informative.
Covid rules were in effect and masks were mandatory at the clubhouse/pro shop.
There were no foams in the cups and the flags were removable if you want them off while you putt.

Needless to say, a fun day was had at the Revere!

Played Revere-Lexington in Henderson for my first round of 2020 on Tuesday, January 7th. The course is about 25 minutes from my home (in Summerlin) and about 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. I usually play Siena and Angel Park, which are both close to home (see my previous reviews) and hadn't played Revere for a number of years.

We actually were booked to play Concord, the other course at Revere, but a morning shotgun tournament was running behind and we would have had to wait for groups to come through the first hole. So the starter let us know that Lexington was wide open and that we could tee off there whenever we were ready. So after hitting a few balls on the nice grass range we teed off on #1 at Lexington.

Lexington is the tougher of the two courses but was a lot of fun. Many of the holes feature elevated tees with big drops to the fairways below, which helped add a few extra yards to my usually short drives. There were quite a few forced carries over canyons and arroyos and while a little visually intimidating, most could be be handled with decent drives and approach shots.

The course was in terrific shape. There are multiple tee boxes for each tee position, which are rotated and allows the grass on each to heal. Fairways were lush with very few thin areas. The primary rough grass did provide challenges but offered a better chance to get your ball back into position than the adjacent desert and waste areas. Fairway bunkers had the typical desert-like dirt, while green side bunkers had softer sand. Greens were quick and rolled smoothly. And it seems golfers there (or the maintenance crew) do repair ball marks.

With the tourney on Concord, there weren't many groups on Lexington, which made for a quick round for our high handicapper foursome. We finished in four hours, which included a 15-minute break after nine.

Service was excellent. The staff was very pleasant, including the marshals on the course who kept things moving. We were on pace, so we just got a smile and a wave... We saw the cart attendant twice on each nine and when we were done, the staff out front wiped down our clubs and offered to bring them to the bag drop. The clubhouse looked really nice but I had to head home for dinner and didn't try the restaurant.

I'm looking forward to adding both Revere courses to my golf rotation.

Loved the layout of the course, had some stunning views of the Vegas strip. They reopened after a reseeding so the fairways were very lush but very playable, just didn't expect much roll from our drives.

If I had one complaint, it was the tee boxes, they were pretty torn up.

Will be back next trip to Vegas to see the difference in playing it without the over seeding affects.

I've played this course three times in the past week and in all honesty, I may have been a little harsh the last time I reviewed it.

That being said, the most recent time I played it on 1/31, I was lucky enough to be invited as part of a whirlwind of golf with JohnnyGK, mpisarski01 and rob1563. Lexington was the first of 3 with them.

If you read my last review, the "poop hole" was not as bad as it was 4 days prior and neither were the greens. The greens were a little slower, but fast nonetheless.

The golf carts withstood the demand we placed on them, to include having my phone charging all day. We used the same cart for 36 holes without issues.

Two things I discovered during this most recent visit. The breakfast burrito, when eaten in the restaurant, comes with breakfast potatoes and because I was early, I sat down and enjoyed it with some coffee. Oh, it was $10 total, so not over priced at all. As I've said before, the view was awesome and I'd love to have dinner here soon.


The second thing, is that they have "Ready Dogs", so if you are in a rush at the turn, feel free to stop and get one quick. That being said, the clubhouse is out of the way on both courses.

I totally recommend both courses.

First round of 36 at The Revere Golf Club on Thursday 1/31 with rob1563, famed02 and mpisarski01. We had a 40 minute frost delay on a cold Vegas morning. Still managed to snap some nice photos so please check them out.

This is a great facility perched up in the hills loaded with the best views of the Las Vegas I’ve seen. They have two 18 hole golf courses both unique and fun. The Lexington Course is by far the most challenging so be ready bring your A game for it. Green are fast, mostly smooth and surprising held shots well. They are however very undulating, large and difficult to read. The fairways are tight, winding in all different directions, have lots of contours and doglegs. They were in very good shape, lush, firm with overseeded rye. Finding the fairways off the tee is essential as missing them means you are likely in a desert hazard. The rough is overseeded rye as well this time of year but maintained low so not much of issue to hit from. You are glad they have it because it helps hold up errant shots heading for the desert hazards. Tee boxes (we played the Silver tees which are by far the most popular) are small which means there is not much room to place the markers. Consequently there is a chance you will have some tee boxes with a lot divot damage. However they have plenty of grass to find a good spot to hit from. Bunkers, like many courses in Vegas, can be thin with small pebbles. I’d say the bunkers are where the golf course needs the most improvement from a conditions standpoint.

As far as service. It was excellent throughout the day. It was a busy day but that did not hinder the on course service as we saw them many times. Active starters and marshals to help keep pace moving.

Clubhouse and Food. Excellent. I have had breakfast there before and asked Ed how his breakfast was which he said it was very good. As Rob mentioned, they have a fantastic $5 hotdog and draft beer deal (some quality beer choices on tap).

I highly recommend this golf course but as much as I like this course, I like their other 18, the Concord Course more … see Concord Review.
