First time playing here in 20 years. Fairways are not in good shape. You can tell this place gets a gets a ton of traffic. Green were okay though. Pace was surprisingly not too bad. Really like the layout. Very challenging but not to the point where you longingly stare in the direction of the parking lot and imagine sitting in your chair at home watching the football game. Hopefully they get the fairways back in shape. Too good of a track to be so mediocre condition wise.

Played 01/02/2022 in the glorious sunshine at 35 degrees. Course was in excellent shape and it is a very beautiful and challenging layout. Fairways were in awesome shape and the greens were quick. A really rock solid value here so if you get up this way give it a whirl.

So I played here about 6 weeks ago and while the conditions were far from ideal it looked like that based on improving reviews they many be making an effort to restore this great layout. Oh boy was I wrong. This place slid back quick. Not a live blade of grass on the few patches there were and the greens were as bumpy as a back country road. The traps were awful and the rough was just harder dirt than the fairways. The weather was splendid though.

Played Sunbrook on 12/12/2021. Played The Pointe and Woodbridge 9s. Course was in good shape. Fairways were quite lush and greens were very fast. Pace was a bit slow since there was a hard frost the night before but it loosend up after the turn. Nice facility and very friendly staff. The course played tough than I expected but that could be because I played worse than expected. No surprise there.

Played 12/4/2021. Got caught in 1st tee traffic due to Bad Fog in the morning. My tee time was at noon but they were backed up 45 minutes. Course is in very good shape. Fairways had minimal if any bare areas and coverage was uniform. Greens were rolling very nice and had a sneaky quickness. Tee boxes were ok. Always a beautiful place to play and the crisp autumn air was nice.

Played Copper Rock on 11/21. Beautiful course. Fairways were carpet like. A few greens though had not recovered well from recent punching. Its a little pricey but the scenery is exceptional and the layout is super fun and fair.

Played 11/6 in the morning. Pleasant surprise I have to say. The course still needs to work on the fairways but the greens were in very good shape considering they recently had been punched. Friendly staff but if you play early you had better chow down ahead of time since the restaurant doesn't open until mid morning. Pace of play was good. 4 hour round on a Saturday morning. With some more tender care on the Fairways this will be a solid play.

Played 10/30/2021. Course was in decent shape. Greens a little bumpy and Fairways a tad thin but nothing major to complain about. Its a ways out there but when booking an AM time on a Saturday at the last minute you can't be too choosy and you could do a lot worse than Hemet. Nice folks on the staff made it a good time even if I played like doodoo.

First time playing here. Let's say up front that the course needs a little bit of TLC. Its not terrible but a little run down around the edges. The course was for the most part in decent shape. Fun lay out. Greens have some damage. Fairways were in good shape. Tee boxes were fairly level. The staff was super friendly and pleasant which goes a long way. Pace of play was excellent.

Jeez man what happened to this place. I played here 20 years ago and it was a very nice course. Now its totally shabby. The bones are still there and to be fair the greens were decent but the tee boxes and fairways look like a motocross track in places. Love the wildlife though and the kids who worked the course were very friendly but man I will root for some rehabilitation here. Hopefully they improve the place because as I said it has good bones and is in a very nice location.

Played 09/04 in the afternoon. Course is in decent shape, especially considering the dry conditions. Green rolled true and were receptive. We finished despite being behind a group of walkers that failed to move with an alacrity. If you want to mosey around a place with nice trees I suggest you find a park and not clog up the fairways because you think the world moves at your snail's pace. Sauntering into the bushes to find your ball 3 holes in a row gets old. Drop and move along smartly.

Finished out my Monterey jaunt by playing in some thick fog at Black Horse. The rough on this side was no where near as punitive as Bayonet and with less trees than Bayonet you probably would get through this round with plenty of lead left in the pencil. Both courses are worth the green fee and if you are in the area you would have a real good time here. One thing I will add is that while both courses have some serious traffic I was able to play both on weekend in less than 4 1/2 hours. Well done to the staff.
