Played Oak Creek @ 0720 Sat Oct 4th. The course was in generally good condition with some large bare spots on a few holes. The par 5 hole #10 was particularly bad with a huge dirt patch 20 yards to the right of the green. POP was good-4 hrs. The bunkers were hit and miss-some had good sand, others hardpan. Customer service was good-including the cart girl.

I got the player's rate of $125. Was it worth it? Not really. With the Goose, Eagle Glen, Oak Quarry, and Trilogy you will get much better value for your greens fee dollar.

Played Trilogy Sat 27-Sep Sat 0736. The course is in good shape, the only dry water hazard is 16...said there was a hole in it or something. There were a few bare spots on a couple of holes, but overall a great experience.

Without question, this is the best customer service offered in the Southland. The starter was great, the rangers were really good too. We had to ask to pass a group of slow players. This can be stressful if mishandled. The rangers were cool as were the guys we passed. We finished 45 minutes ahead of them-3 open holes at 18!

I strongly recommend you play there before they punch the greens 19-Oct.

One watch out: Do NOT order the "steak salad" for lunch. Is it just overcooked roast beef, no flavor!

Played 0756 Sat July 5th. The course was in good shape, the groundkeeper is keeping it watered nicely. There were a few brown patches, but overall fairways were in good shape. Bunkers were hit or miss. some had nice fluffy sand, others hard pan and soaked. Greens were very soft and rolling true. POP was 4 hrs flat.

The service was great and the 19th hole was very comfortable.

Recommend this track highly in its current condition!

Play Eagle Glen Sat 25-Jan @ 0810 and wasn't sure what to expect based on the last review..

My experience was very different. On the 3rd hole we got backed up. The ranger was all over the group on the 5th hole holding up the course. He made them skip the 6th and we finished in four hours flat.

There were some bare spots but mostly VERY enjoyable. The brush has been cut WAY back. A lot of environmental stakes to keep the course moving. The course is actually in good condition and easily worth the fee.

The cart girls were amazing! REALLY hard to concentrate on your game with smoking hotness selling you a Gatorade. 19th hole was outstanding and food excellent (try the steak salad). I will be back next month!!

Played OQ Sat 4-Jan-14 in the early morning. The pro shop had no record of my 0730 time, but put us out anyway. My foursome drove a long way and this was really appreciated. Service at OQ is always great-from the starter to the 19th hole.

The course was in good condition. The weather was perfect. The previous feedback on the greens was a bit harsh. They were indeed somewhat bumpy, but also receptive. They rolled fine. The traps had decent sand, but many were too wet. The rest of the course was in great shape.

Overall good value for money. I plan on going back next month!

Played the Goose Saturday 14-Dec-13 in a HOWLING Gale! The flagsticks looked like they were pulling in a 50-lb halibut. Ridiculous wind conditions...

Apart from that, the course is in really great shape. As always customer service was top notch.

NEWS FLASH: The Green Fees are going up Jan 1st...all of a measly $4 !! Still by far the best value for your golf dollar in So Cal!

Played Pechanga on 7-Apr Sat @ 0830-The course is in spectacular condition and worth every penny of the $129 Greens Fee!

I arrived about 60 min before tee time and wanted to hit balls to warm up. My friend is a big player at the casino, so he got our foursome comped. I told this to the golf shop guy (John) who would let me warm up unless I played a full greens fee. The discussion took me right back to Jack Nicholson in "Five Easy Pieces" ordering toast. Well I did, and had to get my full fee reimbursed 45 min later. With that lone exception the service was great.

The rains came down hard throughout the day, but the course condition was so good, it did not matter. The greens were immaculate and rolling to a solid 10.

The food in the 19th hole was outstanding. I had a seafood cobb(with shrimp, crab, and salmon) and my friends had the (huge) prime rib sandwich. I recommend either.

Happy Holidays to All!

Played OQ Sat, 23 Nov 0800 Sat Tee time. Service was as usual excellent. The course has recovered well since overseeding. Overall fantastic layout-I love this course. The wind was howling though. This is the main drawback of OQ-but it's usually not too bad.

Since the recent rain there was another issue: The Signature hole par 3 greenside front bunker had almost NO sand! My wedge bounced of the hardpan and I skulled it over the green. Request to OQ: If you can't get to any other traps, please keep this one in playing shape...

Thank You!

Dear GK Faithful- It is my sad duty to report Trilogy has fallen far. This course has been one of my favorite layouts in SoCal, but the current condition is a travesty. Played Sat 2-Nov-13 around 830. Fairways spotty, rough overgrown and patchy, greens just OK. The management has let a once proud track turn into tumbleweed junction.

Service was the only bright spot-VERY friendly staff, good 19th hole...

Won't be back for a while-up the street to Eagle Glen...

Played OQ Sat 24-Aug at 0716 on a clear ,sunny day. Almost no wind. All I can say is that Oak Quarry is in the best condition I've ever seen it in...going back 10 years!

The service was top notch and all the people were great-from the cash register to the starter to the 19th hole.

Thanks and Congratulations to the Grounds Crew and entire Staff!!

GO PLAY OAK QUARRY!

Played Trilogy 5/11/13 with an 0832 Tee Time. I am thrilled to report that the course is in the best condition in years. Tee boxes, greens, traps and most fairways were in great shape.

The traps were perhaps the best feature. So often in SC you get lousy sand and it's very difficult to not bounce your club off of hardpan. I was in three traps yesterday and they all were perfect. Greens were in great shape as well-rolling true and consistent. The only negative was that a few fairways were not 100% with a couple of bare spots. The staff was excellent and the food good in the 19th hole. Do yourself a favor and play Trilogy (Glen Ivy) now.

Congratulations to the grounds crew-you have restored one of my favorite tracks-Thank You!

Played Sat 20-Apr-13 at 0804...well, that was my tee time. We got off 20 min late and waited on every shot until 11. Home of the 5-hour round-even with an early start. The course is in very good condition-especially the greens. Smooth and FAST. The only complaint was the signature hole was largely Ground Under Repair.

There was a drop zone well back in the fairway behind the GUP. I hit my tee shot into the front greenside bunker-all in the GUP. I took my drop at the nearest point of relief away from the flag rather than go all the way back to the drop zone. There was some disagreement in our group-but I sculled it anyway and took a double. The wind came up a bit, but remained reasonable around 15MPH. I recommend OQ highly if you don't mind a slower POP...
