Played on 4-17-14. Started on time, and POP was great. Played in 3:30 hrs. Tee boxes were good, bunkers were good, fairways were fast, and the greens were excellent. Not a fan of mountain courses, but if it didn't take so long to get there, I would probably play here 2x a month. A pretty nice and fun layout, and I will definitely be back.

Played 3-20-14. I hate to do this because it's one of my favorite county courses, but it was pretty bad. I don't know what was going on, but it was extremely crowded. Tee'd off 20 minutes after my tee time, and the round took 5.5+ hrs to play.
Tee boxes-O.K. condition on some, grass really high on others
FWYS-In really good shape, the ball just rolled for days if you hit the FWY
Rough-cut nice and low so it was easy to find people's balls when they went sideways.
Bunkers- Hard dirt underneath a shallow top soil
GREENS-Terrible condition. I played in the late morning and it looked like the greens haven't been cut for a couple days, but it was watered down- not a good combination. Putts didn't hold their lines and were really slow.
P.O.P-Horrible!

Played here on 08/28/13. A decent little, short course, but don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Pro shop guy was really good, got me right out on the course. Fairways were pretty good and the greens were interesting. Quite a few big greens, but they were really slow. The course was moving slow, so I had to leave the 2 guys that he paired me up with (they were 2 really good guys, I just had to leave soon so I wanted to finish up). The main problem that I had with this course is the severely uneven and sloped tee boxes! Who puts a tee box on the side of a hill so the ball is way above your feet? Apparently, Scholl Canyon does.

Played in a tournament here on 7/28/13. 1st of all, this course USED to be really good, but not when we played today. Several tee boxes were being worked on, so they moved us to terrible lies in the fairways. Greens were really good and tricky, and the bunkers were nice and full. Now the bad part. Customer service was terrible, with the exception of the 1 girl who worked the cart barn. The guy in the pro shop, the starter and the marshal ALL need to go back to etiquette school. The marshal was especially bad.

Played all 27 holes on 4/18/13. Have to say, the the 9 hole Mountain course was in the best shape. The tee boxes were severely uneven, the fairways were in pretty good shape and the bunkers were average. The greens were in really bad shape, even though they were just aerated, the greens were severely diseased and slow. Customer service was a lot better than the last time I played there. The starter was very helpful and got us out on the course as soon as we were ready. The course ambassador/marshal needs to do a better job of watching the course, as a rather obesely overweight guy kept driving his cart RIGHT UP TO THE EDGE of the greens.

Played in a tournament here today, and had a great time. Like any course, when you have par 3 holes the tee boxes will be a little beat up, but you still have a lot of room to hit from. I didn't have any problems getting out of the three bunkers that I was in. Overall, another great round @ Chester.

Played 12-12-12. Customer service was top notch, the starter got us out on the course almost as soon as we got there. $20 w/cart after 12 was a great price. Tee boxes were uneven on a lot of the holes, the fairways were good, even though some were soaked a little too much. The bunkers were great (tested a few of them), the greens on the front 9 were really good, the back 9 need a lot of work.
Had fun and will definitely be back. Played the course in 3:30 hrs, and that was with a really slow 4some in from that didn't want to let anyone pass.

Played 10/29/12. Course was in pretty good shape. Fairways and greens were good, fluffy sand in the 1 bunker that I was in. Tee boxes were uneven and had some fair damage on the par 3's. Course was a little slow, as some people who were playing from the blacks should've played from the whites. Haven't played here in a while, but had a good time and would definitely play again.

Played here 10/24/12. Had a good time, despite playing with a guy that was drinking the whole time. Only problem that I had was the tee boxes were chewed up badly, looked like they had been left in the same place for the past week. No place where the markers were had any grass, just dug up dirt. Greens were fast and fun.

Played here on 10/9/12 with a fellow golfer. Got a great t-time (10am), and I found out why on the back 9, holes 12-15 were being worked on. it would've been nice if the starter would've let us know that so we could've decided if we wanted to play or not. Tee boxes and fairways were in bad shape, but the greens (especially #3) were horrendous. They should be ashamed of themselves for letting the course go like that.

Played here on 10/2/12. The greens were spectacular! Really fast and fun to play on. The fairways were in good shape. I wasn't too fond of the hazard area though, as it was close all around the rough. All in all, a fun time and worth the greens fees.

Played twilight on 9/6/12. The course was fun for me, as I've never played there before. The fairways and rough were decent. With the exception of #2 tee box, the rest were good. Good sand in the bunkers. The greens on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. They were terrible. I think the mower was messed up on the back 9 as a few of the greens had blade cuts all through them. Otherwise, it was a fun day.
