We played here sunday and as usual it was a mixed bag but things are getting better . Greens are good as always and the sand is thin but consistent, the tee boxes are better than in the past and the fairways are passable . The layout is still kinda funky bit if you hit it straight you wont have much to b$tch about. The course wasnt crowded and pace of play was good for us and as we were a fivesome we let a few twosomes play thru . I will keep playing here when its warm as the weather cant be be beat but be warned your playing hear for the weather this course still needs work and shouldn't be compared to any of the local resort courses.

we always have a good time here. The course is a good deal and its pretty easy .It has a number of short holes that can jump up and bite you and the par 3s are the hardest holes on the course. The locals are very nice here as are the staff and unless you play behind a tournament as we did this weekend pace of play is really good. We often come here in the summer as it always seems to have a nice breeze. The bar and driving range are average and there is a chipping area which is handy to warm up your short game. If your looking to challenge your game this might not be your best choice but if a well rounded friendly game in which all your clubs can be used and everybody gets to par a couple of holes then this place could be the ticket

This has never been my favorite track but its close to home and it was a good deal . the staff is fine but the starter is kinda pissy every time we come and this trip was np different ,finding out who was up next was treated like a friggin state secret . the course condition is getting better and the greens were plush.the sand traps all need sand added and the tee boxes need help. The silly holes are still the same and the last two par 5s on the back really detract from the courses enjoyment . I played like crap but the weather was nice it's nice facility

well if you wanna try something different then give this a try its in a big valley and you can lose alot of balls in the canyons . the layout is nice and the condition is good except for the greens the are fair to bad right now . Customer service isnt this tracks strong point Ive been here a few times and the starters are peppy snotty the starter a jerk ( when he is ready to send you out your going even if your buddies are not all here . it might be twenty minutes before your tee time but thats your problem your going now or not at all ) the marshals and cart girls are cool but the tend to wait in funny places so it can be distracting the bunkers are kinda strange , that crusty clumpy sand nobody likes. I will play here again but its not my favorite course by far . For god sake if your going here and are not a single digit handicap play from the whites please.

I have not played here for a couple of year as it had gotten a bit expensive and the course isn't close to my home so I was happy to see it was on our oc golf trails card and was amped to play it again at reasonable rate. Man has everything changed for the better here the greens were smooth and fast the fairways were in great shape and pace of play was much faster. Heck they even cut the green fees, so what's not to love well the traps are not world class and the tee boxes are not real flat but this place is still interesting and a lot of fun. I think they play a lot of tournaments here so a make your reservation early and enjoy a quality golf course at a good rate

I got nothing against this place and I was hoping it would be decent so after a buddy had come to me saying have you seen goat hill it has grass all over it, I agreed to play it. When I arrived the hippy chick running the place was trying to screw my buddy out of an extra ten bucks per player and her assistant, some guy about 30 was telling someone other dude about all the ways they had of screwing non locals out of cash. We did end up getting our 25 dollar golf now rate and we did tee off on time and that's about the most positive thing I can say. The greens have ebola and are horrible the fairways do have grass but it's uneven and the ground is so hard your ball can kick anyplace and since the whole course is cart path only finding your ball and having the correct club is a rare treat.the traps are terrible shallow and hard the rough areas don't resemble a golf course at all. Now I know somebody out there is saying" what do u out expect for 25 bucks" so I will tell you .I expect the place to be closed until it's in a condition to be played. I don't mind a scrappy little golf course here and there but the layout here is silly and the condition is below playable and the scga Should be ashamed of its self for allowing this dirt lot to stay open. In fact the only thing funnier than this place telling us that the rates are going up are the 170.00 Sunday bags with a goat hill logo they are trying to sell with a straight face. If this is your spot and you want to defend it I feel sorry for you. Some things are wrong, drunk driving, hitting girls and playing here. If you go here now you have been warned you only have yourself to blame . Golf now should have standards and not deal with is place and if your reading this and are with the scga do your job in golf we are supposed to police our selves and have standards, this place is below any Standard I can imagine

If not seeing the pin from the tee doesn't bother you you might love this course. We played it on a sunday at 9 am and it really wasn't to crowded. We found the checking in, the cafe and the driving range pleasant and easy to deal with the starter was friendly and we started within 5 minutes of our tee time. The fairways were better than average for a city course and the greens were in good shape on the fast side and very firm .The bunkers were good and the tee boxes were a bit beat up but level. The course is very hilly and in many if the holes the tee shot is blind but the fairways in these hole are wide and seeing the pin from your second wasn't a problem so it was very fair. Our carts and GPS units worked well and I really cant say anything negative about the place. The price seemed fair and we had good time ,we enjoyed a sandwich and beer at the bar after our round and I would come here again . I dont think this is a great course for beginners as the blind shots and hills could make it tough and a very long day.

Played here 1/18/15 using my oc trails discount and came away with mixed feelings. First we sent get a true 50%discount because they charged us a cart charge which was kinda cheesy and to many holes are cart path only for my liking also many traps on the course are being redone. I'm not saying we should have gotten a bigger discount but it would have been nice if they had told us up front. This definitely a nice course and customer service is very nice but the fairways were very hard the greens didn't seem to hold even shorter shots. I didn't see much rough but it seemed fair and when we found traps with sand in them it was good quality. The day we played the GPS units were set for different pins than we saw and thatat wasn't a big help . I'm not sure I really like this course that much and I'm sure it isn't worth upwards of 200.00 not in the condition it was in the today anyway. If you have never played this track and can n get a deal it's probably worth trying but to day it wasn't in great shape and I would wait a month or so. On a personal note if you have trouble walking you might want to ask about it before you play this course has a bunch of cart path only areas and they mess with your cart electronically if you go into them

I'm not sure what 180.00 a round golf course looks like but I bet it's isn't anything like strawberry farms . We had a 50 percent off coupon to this place and our green fee was 90 bucks and I'm not sure I would pay that again either. The course is in decent shape and the greens were true . But the good comments end there. The sand traps and the customer service had the same problem, their wasn't any. When you walk in and pay your green fee if you want to hit a few warm up balls the charge 5.00 for 20 balls really 25 cents per ball and there is no snack bar so a golfer must compete with breakfast guests for service and order from the breakfast menu. Next is the insane Russian girl tooling around on the drink cart I don't need to see, hear and be pestered 6 times per nine and the one time I did want something she only had tequila and pineapple juice who drinks that????my biggest and most important gripe about this place is the don't have a Marshall. People are paying big money to play here and must want to get every inch and minutes worth and by doing so ruining it for everybody behind them. The fools. In front of us today and their lady friend shouldn't even know where the black tees are let alone be allowed play from them. Finally after 5 hour I called the club house to let them know how slow it was, they informed me they don't have marshalls but would check the GPS to see. I don't know what it is about those 5 dollars yardage books the sell now but put one in golfers hands and the turn in Kevin Na but slower cause they suck . This place is just a nickel grubbing operation from start to finish even after your done they got vultures waiting to clean your clubs for a tip and when I said no thanks he got pissy. Ok I lied about one thing I do know what a 180 buck course looks like in fact I have played more than a few they have Marshalls and sand and treat there customers with respect in short nothing like strawberry farms. If you love this place God bless you I'm going to goose creek or Arrowood and play twice for the same money and walk away feeling good.

I played here a few weeks back and I guess my review didnt stick so here it is again . I like the course it is sneaky tough in a strange way . first most of the greens are on mounds and if your long or short, left or right a chip isnt easy . Second very few hole go into or away from the breeze so cross wind is an issue . Third the greens are decent speed but most greens fall way at the edges so getting a ball to the hole and not having roll well past is an issue. The course isnt long and my buddies gripe when I pick it and I tell them when you shoot in the 70s just once we will stop playing it ,and we havent yet . The staff is kind and friendly and the do let 5s out so pace isnt quick . I wll go hear again and if you give it try you might like it enough to come back . It isnt fancy but its fun .

Played here on a cart path only Saturday and we didn't expect much, but we had a really good time we played as group of 5 and fort the most part had the course to ourselves as always the greens are good and there seems to be more and better grass than usual. We find the course to be a real challenge with many narrow long holes. This course does have sum issues but it is getting better. If you can t hit a straight drive r put the club away and forget what par on the card says. Enjoy the weather and the good customer service and remember be polite to the locals that live along the course. I've played better quality courses but with a good attitude and some good company this place can be a lot of fun

I play here once or twice a year and it's decent . It's not long or has a lot of elevation change but it's sneaky tough in places. The greens and fairways are average for a city track but the bunkers are thin on sand the tee boxes are kinda beat up but that can change. The club house is decent but the idea that your receipt will get you a 99 cent beer but not a coke is silly. My only complaint about the course are the players. People seem to be really up tight here ever time I come here folks are hitting into each other's groups and pissing and griping and picking up each other's balls. I will play here again and if you want a simple test of golf you could give it a try but if you do relax and be polite .
