Beware greens have been sanded again!! I played here 2 mos ago and they were sanded then as well??? It's pretty obvious why as they are rather hard and in need of softening up. The greens are still pretty fast in spite of all the sand. I'd give it another 2 - 3 weeks before they recover. Conditions are pretty favorable otherwise although it was rather wet last Friday do to a slight drizzle and they were watering several of the holes on the front 9 as we were playing through which was rather annoying. Rouch is not forgiving at all as it is rather long and you gotta hit it straight or you'll lose several balls. Still a great layout with some interesting and aesthetically pleasing holes. Finished in 4 hours on a Friday morning. I'd do it again after the greens recover.

Played on 5/20 and coures is in overall great shape. Pesky bugs throughout entire round can be a distraction as they fly in your face. The cart girl even asked if we needed bug spray!!!! I had never seen as much livestock on this course as I did today - rabbits, roadrunners, squirrels -- sheesh!!! Still love the layout and course is scorable if you can hit it straight. Only lost one ball today. I'll be back. Starter stated possible closure of 9 holes in September but date keeps getting pushed back due to negotiations.

An interesting layout and it's not as bad as people say. Overall course makes you think and it's not all about banging the driver. Several holes require careful consideration prior to teeing off and the majority of the fairways are very narrow. Worst part about course were the tee boxes which many were not level. Easy to get a tee time and played on Sat 5/28 in just over 4 hours teeing off at 7:30am. Greens held better than expected. Definitely a challenging course and would play again in a pinch.

Course is rounding nicely into form. Addition of nice GPS system in carts is a plus. Majority of greens are almost recovered from aeration. Love the fairways on this course as you always get a nice fluffy lie. Round took 4 hours/15 mins teeing off at 7am on Saturday 4/23. Lots of fog for first 4 holes and course was rather wet as well due to the 'dew'. Still love this course.... just wish it was a bit closer to home. Rating 8.5.

Course plays rather long on windy days as most holes you hit directly into the wind. There are at least 5 or 6 400+ yard par 4's to deal with from the white tees. Greens are deceivingly fast in spite of the recent aeration. Crab grass rough surrounds the greens & fairways which makes it tough to dig your ball out of... played in 3.75 hours on a Wed. Some water damage on hole #12 but course in decent shape otherwise.

Course was playing under punched greens and some fairways were punched as well. Fairways were ultra thin for some reason in spite of all the recent rains???? I was saying I'd rather hit out of the rough cuz the lies were fluffier. A decent layout w/some good views on a rather scorable course. Many holes were playing downwind AND downhill which shortened up the course distance. The front 9 does have a few holes where you hit directly into the wind though. A couple nice water "island" greens on the back too. I DO like the layout and the price was decent I just wish the fairways were a little plusher. Give the course a couple more weeks to grow in and the course will be a real treat. Round took under 4 hours.....I'll be back.

A nice & fast round (under 4 hours, teeing off at 7am) in great conditions. Course was surprisingly dry except the sand traps. Some fairways are a bit on the thin side and there were a few uneven tee boxes. The greens are exceptional and hold well. This course is very scorable in spite of all the water. The wind did kick up for 1/2 of the round which added to the challenge. It's always a treat to play here and I will be back.

Course is in excellent shape although there are still some wet areas in the fairways (hole #2 & 3 for example). Greens are fast but hold well. Played on 3/12 Saturday (9:50 tee time) and teed of 30 mins late due to fog and only played 9 holes because of slow play. It took 3 hours to complete 9 holes so we got a refund for the back 9. It's too bad because conditions were great. When it's this foggy you don't get the awesome views from the tee boxes.

Played on 2/25 and course held up well from rains. All greens are aerated for some reason but held balls exceptionally (due to moisture from rains). Plush fairways and tee boxes and rough is brutally long (reminds me of PGA West Stadium length). Played a best ball (along w/my own ball) since we teed off as a 2some and we were able to par the course via the best ball format. Round took 4 hours. There are some pretty holes on this course and plenty of forced carries over water or canyons to make things interesting. Once it dries out more and the greens overcome their recent aeration the conditions will be superb.

talk about windy... 40 - 60mph winds made for an already challenging outing at this target golf course. Course has recovered quite well from the recent rains and fairways are in tip top shape along with the super fast greens. Greens were a tad harder than normal due to the wind but I was able to add some serious extra yardage on my drive when the wind was behind me (6th & 9th hole drove through the end of the fairways and the 12th hole I drove 1 foot from the green) but it also detracted much distance when hitting directly into the wind... holes 2, 4, 10, 16, 17 & 18 for example. Standing on the 16th tee overlooking the green below with the wind swirling up from the canyon below... the wind hit you smack dab in the face while you tried to maintain your balance. This was what it was like and it made this hole much more challenging than normal. Also, the wind was SOOO strong it also came into play when you were putting and blew the ball around the greens MUCH more than normal. Next time when it's this windy I might as well stay home regardless of 'where' I'm playing. My hat flew off like 6 times!!! The starter is one 'cool cat' and he threw me 2 tokens for range balls. Thanks buddy! What a bargain for $45!!!!

The course is under water as I drove by on the 91 fwy due to the releasing of water from the Prado dam. It looks like a river running through it at this time. It looks pretty much ruined at this point. Call course for more details as it's probably closed.

played on Fri Jan 14 & course is rounding into shape although you WILL lose some yardage in the fairways as the ball sticks due to the rain. For example, I lost a good 50 yards of roll on the 9th hole as my ball stuck as soon as it hit off of my drive. Fairways are still a little thin in some areas. Course should be better now as it drys out. Starter is very friendly and again gave me a token for a bucket of balls. Round took 5 hours though teeing off at 9am as we had some old geezers lagging in front of us. I still LOVE this course and you could see for miles on the tee boxes as it was a clear day. Overall, an 8.5 rating due to the thinness & spottiness of certain fairways.
