Played 11/3 with a 1:52 tee time, the starter gave us the TW rate even though it wasn't technically TW yet, which most courses wouldn't have done. The course was in great shape minus the tee boxes being a little uneven, and having some divot damage. The greens were soft and held the approach shots nicely, but with the short distances and going in with lofty clubs that is to be expected. A good time was had and I will be back..

Played the course on August 18th, 8:45 tee time. Got out on time. Course was in good shape, had to look around for a level spot to tee off from on most of the holes though. The greens rolled true except for 10 which had some sort of dead spot or something in the front of it. Sand played well, a couple of the sand traps had some mud in them though. But overall the course was in good playing condition and I will be back.

Played on 07/7/07 with a tee time before 6:00am, had set up two groups for a buddy's wedding and each of us had a threesome. Except for the first couple of holes it felt like no one was on the course but our group. The previous reviews of the course left me with the impression that the course has seen better days. I was pleasantly surprised to find the course was in good shape. Yes there was some work going on around some of the lakes, but for the most part the course seemed to be well manicured. The putts rolled true, however the greens were a little hard. I did get the benefit of a half price tee time through my time share, so that made the price a little more bearable, and if I had to play full price I probably would've checked out one of the other courses if only to see what they looked like. I will be back in the future.

Played on June 16th with a 6:42 morning tee time. The course was in great shape, except for the greens as mentioned in other posts. I don't know what was done to them but they look like they were punched with holes the size of a quarter and it is growing back in those areas with little raised areas. I don't know how many putts straight forward fairly easy putts were missed by the group, but I would say it cost everyone a couple of strokes. With that said the rest of the course was in fantastic shape and I will be returning again soon as it is a fun layout and if played smart good scores can be posted.

Played the course on April 7 with a 3:00 tee time. Ended up getting out about 10 mins. late, but as always with Rustic it was worth the wait. The greens were still recovering from being punched and as such were bumpy and slow, but were recovering nicely and should be in prestine shape in weeks. The fairways were in great shape and one of my friends said that he has never seen such great fairways. The only complaint from someone in the group was that he couldn't find a ball washer on one of the par 3's but if that is all you can complain about what a great day you've just had. I look forward to playing again in a couple of weeks when the greens are looking fantastic.

Played the course on the morning of January 19th and went out as a three-some without a tee-time with relatively no wait. That was to be expected though considering it was a Friday morning and had been cold and windy earlier in the week. The course was in fairly good shape considering the lack of rain we have gotten around here and how harsh the weather has been. The grass wasn't green like you would see in pictures, but it wasn't dead either. The fairways played true except they were a little harder than you would normally find. The greens were so soft that I was sticking my 4i on approach shots which is abnormal for me so that was a pleasant suprise. I didn't hit a sand trap so I couldn't offer much feedback on those, but my buddy landed in one and it seemed to play pretty true. I have knocked this course in the past, but always seem to come back. It was worth the green fee, and I will probably be back again soon.

Played the course 12/17/06 while I was up in the area for the weekend. It was my second time on the course and it was in good shape, but watch out in the after noon when the wind picks up. I wouldn't make the drive from the Los Angeles area just to play this course as it is your typical municipal course, however it is kept in much better shape than the local muni courses. Would have rather of played Purisma or Alisal but I was playing with my brother-in-law who is 12 years old and has only been golfing for a couple of months so decided it wasn't worth the money or frustration of playing with someone with so little exp. to play a nicer but tougher course. It is worth the money and if you are making a weekend trip of visiting the area and are looking for a cheaper course to play I would highly recommend playing here as opposed to the above mentioned courses. Next time I will leave the family at home and get a true test of my game at a more difficult course. All in all a great time was had and I will probably be back with the little guy again.

Played the course at 7:00am on 11/11 and was part of the group was running a little late. The gentlemen in the Proshop were very helpful and actually got some of the other groups that were supposed to be behind us to move their start times up to accommodate the fact that the foursome wasn't ready on time. I have played this course on many occassions and was very pleased with the shape the course was in. The fairways were in good shape as well as the sand traps. The only thing I would say needed some help was the bumps in the greens but I was told that they had punched them within the last three weeks and were starting to show signs of improvement from that, and some of the tee boxes were level. Other than that the course was in very good shape and for the price you really can't beat the course. I will be playing there again sometime in the near future.

I played on 7/29 and was pleasantly suprised by the conditions of the course. After reading some of the other reviews and seeing th rating I wasn't expecting the course to be in great condition, and it really was. The greens putted true, but kind of slow and the rest of the course was in good condition as well with the layout short but fun. I will definately be going back.

I got the chance to go play on 6/25 and what a treat it was. The course was in great shape, minus a couple of greens that had ball marks all over them (you would think that as a golfer if you don't like the ball marks why wouldn't you at least fix yours so that other's don't have to deal with them). Played the round in just over 4 hours and it's a course that as long as you play smart and place your shot's, you can shoot a decent score, but if your putting's not on than it will add up quick. I will be back soon to play.

Played the course on April 9 and a good time was had by all. My last post about this course wasn't to kind, but with the improvements that have been made I was pleased with the condition of the course. My only complaint would be that on a couple of the greens there seemed to be a fungus growing or something and that the hole was placed right in the middle of it which made putting extremely difficult. Other than that the course was in good condition and a return visit is already being scheduled for the future.

Played on 3/5 course was pretty much in the same condition as my last post for this course two weeks ago, except that it was not as wet. Pace of play was a slow, but that is to be expected for a course that is extremely short. It is a fun place to go practice placing your shots. Don't expect to pull the driver out on many holes, and if that is what you are looking for go play else where. I will be back but probably not as quickly as I was this time.
