Played 3-22 at 10... Course is in fantastic shape, everything is lush, traps are a little heavy but I think that is usual for Riverwalk. Unfortunately, they decided to Aerate a little earlier than advertised here but oh well (only half of greens) ... Not sure what "steve165" is so upset about. Greens here roll fast because they are well kept and cut close. The more high-end the course tends to be, the more greens roll like that. As always, you gotta putt well because here, it will roll by 5 feet if you don't.

UGH...This course can be a bear. And not a black bear, a grizzly. Rough is still up from Farmers Open (not all the way but longer than usual). Greens are rolling great. Bunkers are perfect. Fairways are lush. Course is in great shape. If you have a resident card get out there. Played back tees (I was the high in the group) and realized #12 is sooo long...477 par 4 dead into the wind. Such a great course.

Played this past weekend in a tournament. It was a good time. Pace of play was fantastic. Aside from our small tournament, it was pretty empty. Course was in great shape and greens were rolling fast... My only issue...The bunkers were hard but, that may have been a result of the rain a day before. Tough course at times as you need good shots off the tee, no side by side holes.

Played this past weekend 11-11 to 11-13 . I like borrego but it lacks a certain something. The holes are laid out kinda neat with some risk reward carries however each hole is somewhat similar and lacks any real imagination although some are cool. I would love to play here more but every time I come here the greens are so so so so fuzzy and slow. I mean really ridiculously slow. That ruins it for me. It could be the time of year or the time I go but, Ive never ever played somewhere like this. They long nice but are fuzzy and long.

I play riverwalk every Saturday. Here is the skinny... Course is always very well maintained. Greens are always taken care of and roll true, rough is always lush though not overly punishing, sand plays heavy in bunkers but is clean of pebbles, fairways are always nice. Its a fun track to play although not overly difficult. IMO the only downside can be pace of play. This course is booked all the time and if you want to tee off at prime time, your round can take 5 hours. Other than that... Its a great track to play.

Played Arrowood 11-28-11 around 1030... Course was wiiiide open. Nice change of pace from the last few rounds Ive had (elsewhere) Arrowood always has good flow in my opinion. Course was in great shape. They are overseeding the rough so you have to enter and exit at certain spots. I love this course. Seriously, the greens are always so great the fairways are always cut just right. Club selection is a must here as too little or too much club can get you on some downhill lies. Some of the tee boxes were wet and showed signs of new grass growing (prob was its first growth so not ready to cut) Tee boxes level... If you get the chance get out there and play. i only wish I lived closer, I would snap that membership offer right up.

Played 10-21-11...
Pros = course is in good shape. Greens are feww of ball marks and aeration signs. Although they are on the slow side currently. Rough is decent. Scenery in nice change from most San Diego courses as there are lost of trees.
CONS CONS CONS... many tee boxes offer less than optimal positioning ie...they are uneven not level. Some of them are really bad but not most. Course was really moist for some reason. Personal gripe... As a single I was paired with another single which is to be expected and we played behind a threesome of older ladies (they were not hacks) of course we waited a bunch but that was only due to us being 2...HOWEVER at the turn, they dropped a husband and wife in between us. WTHeck? We waited on the 10th tee for 20 minutes. I don't understand why they would do something like that? If the course is too booked to send someone out on 1st tee, don't send them at all. Our round pushed almost 6 hours and only sped up because the couple infront of us decided to turn around.

Played Labor day and had a great time. Due to the traffic this course recieves you must stay off the rough with the cart...Due to the rough you should also keep your ball our of it. It was cloudy and just a tad damp as is sprinkled on and off that morning. When that grass is wet, that grass is tough!!! I have a love hate with Torrey because to me its just a really scenic muni however, being a local getting the locals rate, its worth it... Always well kept.

Played Coronado Sunday, a very beautiful Sunday in San Diego Might I add. For a MUNI this course is great but it carries with it the issues most MUNI courses have. Waits on every hole and Brumuda grass. The course is worth it for the views and though it is a short course and its very flat, I must say it has quite a bit of hidden trouble.

Greens are rolling true as the punching is pretty much done. They are rolling really slow though so be advised. They have started punching the fairways but you dont notice it too much. Rough is dry but can make it extra tricky when your ball is sitting up and turns out you have about an inch or two of grass under there. Overall it was so so

Had a chance to take my son out for the weekend. There are a lot of walkers as it is a short course. I only brought my irons, wedges, and putter. The course is short and is fun to sharpen your game... I wasnt in any traps and come to think about it, I dont think this course has any traps. There are a few water hazards, nothing really comes into play. The course is in fairly decent condition for an exec course. THE GREENS- I dare you to try and put a ball mark in them! I hit HIGH HIGH HIGH wedge shots that landed smack in the middle of the greens and no ball mark. Its as if they are a few inches thick. They are pristine. Spongy and a bit slow but pristine. YOU WILL NOT find better greens on a exec course, period. My only issue was it seemed like it was a tad bit expensive and the starter seemed put off by my groups presence. Granted we were taking a little long getting situated (we had 2 foursomes back to back booked and 3 kids playing ages 8, 10, and 14) and we were there 2 minutes late which is def wrong on my part. However, there was nobody in front of us and nobody behind us for a looong time after we tee'd off. Once again, we were late so, we did deserve a little gruff and I could have been reading the guys there wrong.
