It made me sad to play here today (8-30-10). This course used to be in fantastic shape, a good challenge, and great place to get away from the crowds. Something has happened to the conditions of the course. It is super patchy grass everywhere on the course. The sand traps need repair and the tee boxes are just as bad as the fairways and rough. I am not sure what happened here, but I hope they turn it around quick. This course was always a gem.

Good course and a good challenge. The biggest issue here is slow play. A tee time at 7:30am on a Saturday should not take 5 hours. Greens were descent, but inconsistent on speed. Fairways were thin in some spots. Fun challenge...

Played 6.26.10. Greens are in good shape along with traps. Seems they have punched some of the fairways and rough. Course was extremely wet including greens. Not sure why. Overall, course is in good shape, just needs less water.

I really enjoy this course. Conditions are really nice and it is a nice challenge. The pace of play is the only "knock" on this course.

Short but fun/challenging course. Busy course so pace of play isn't fast, but the greens are. Amazing, receptive, smooth, fast greens.

I always enjoy the challenge of this course. Teed off today at noon (twilight) and had some major wind to deal with. Course was in good shape, greens were nice, fairways were well kept, but the bunkers needed some work. Pace of play was slow, but that was probably due to the wind. Enjoyable, tough course.

If you haven't played here in a while, the course is in good shape. Fairways and rough are very lush. Greens are still recovering from aeration. Just avoid the sand... The good part is the sand is so hard that half the time your ball bounces out. If you have to hit out of them however, it is not good. For the price and the rest of the conditions, it is worth a play. (Bring a nose plug for the cows).

Always amazed with the greens here! They are smooth and fast, yet receptive. The rest of the course is nice, but the greens are what make it. Pace of play is SLOW, so if you accept that in the beggining, you can have an enjoyable round.

Course conditions are great. Greens are nice, but firm. Pace of play is the only downside of this course...

Played this course on Friday, February 12th. Teed off about 1pm and finished a little after 5pm. Course was in good condition, but did not enjoy the greens. Too bumpy and inconsistent. Fairways and rough were great. Great challenging course with some quirky holes (i.e. Hole 4 and 18). Customer service was HORRIBLE!!! Everyone there seemed to have a major chip on their shoulder, including the cart attendant that cleans the carts out... I felt like we were playing at the "Soup Nazi's" golf course from Seinfeld. Besides the customer service, it was worth it.

Course is in "winter condition" so it is what it is, but there is no reason that a round of golf should take longer than 5 hours, ESPECIALLY during the week. So, if you have time to kill, this is your place. I can't imagine how long a weekend round would take.

Really enjoy this course, and if you have never played a true links course, give it a shot... Don't expect Augusta right now... The fairways are brown (think of Hoylake a couple years back for The Open Championship). Greens were fairly fast, but nothing great. Winter conditions for sure, but still an enjoyable track. I recommend it.
