Water restrictions haven taken a toll. The course is in the worst shape since it opened. Greens are dry and hard, fairways have brown spots and rough has many brown areas, a dissapointment from what the course used to look like.

Angeles National is a really great test, 4 to 5 times through to really get a good feel for the course. This is a superbly designed track, for the teens and lower handicapper, clearly not for the beginner with tee to green grass on one hole only.

LA City was an impedence to course construction, to the clubhouse, and now to course condition, where it is usually perfect, green grass is now a given only in landing areas.
What was previously the best condition golf course in LA county, has become marginal, the course is hard and dry.

This is the most dramatic downturn of course conditions in memory. Eagle Glen used to be a near perfectly maintained gol course, now fairway bare spots abound, many areas of dry or brown grass. Greens and tee boxes have also suffered. A real dissapointment to return to see conditions that fall far short of even some municipal courses. The lowered prices do not make up for the bad condition of the course, I will not be going back.

Better than expected, a great track in great condition, with very fast but true greens.

Wonderful course design and fairway conditions are spoiled by greens beyond awful when compared to the quality of the rest of the course. Can't think of another course where the greens are so bad, with the rest of the course so good.

A great value for a super twilight rate of just 7 bucks. Clearly not in as good of condition as Brookside or San Dimas Canyon whose ratings show this course as comparable with them.
Starter remains in a good mood as long as you are very nice to him, but be prepared to try to igmnore him if he was not treated just right by players a half hour ago!

Brookside remains one of the better maintained municipal courses. #1's layout offers good variety despite the neary flat site. No contrived piles of dirt faking terrain.

If you just want to post a low score, go to Woodley. If you want a reasonabe pace of play, or a course that does not resemble a series of closely shorn football fields with tee boxes at one end and greens at the other, don't go to Woodly. Pace is slow, the golf course is BORING, flat, and less than uneventful. The greens are the high note as they are in very good shape for a municipal course today. Fairways are seemingly miles wide and the roll on little or no grass is long off the tee. Not an aesthetic course, but if you need to get some bugs out, and want to lose no balls, go .

Layout: really interesting, though not long this course is challenging and the rating and slope are both below where they should be. Flying a green is often fatal. Course demands thoughtful and accurate placement to some narrow fairways, severely sloped rough and some well protected greens.

A place to go were it not for the reproachable condition of the course. Newly cut fairway drainage underseeded if seeded at all.
Bare spots 50 feet wide are split by a 14 inch wide strip of grass on some fairways. Not just rain damage, nearby San Dimas Canyon is in great shape having endured more runoff than this course did. This course is just not well maintained. A real shame as the layout is well above average.

95 bucks and yes, a little "stuffy." They may take themselves a little too seriously. Fazio designed course looks older than it is.
1/2 the holes drain the ball to the middle seemingly no matter where you hit, is that Golf? I am not sure but if your pocketbook is better off than your game, this is a very good course to play.

17, 18 still under flood damage repair. Course is beautful in design and condition. Beer cart girl great, untrained or uncaring cart attendants.
