Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Went out and played 18 this afternoon (10/11). Played Canyon->Oaks. Canyons was in decent shape, Tee box on #8 is still under repair, but other than that it was in good condition. The greens on Oaks (#5 & #6) look like they had been vandalized. Not sure what happened. Greens were generally slow across the course. Not too many people out. Good afternoon for sure.
Played 8/21/22 1:09 tee time. Course was in typical shape (i.e. terrible). Pace of play was slow, the carts were constantly hampered by the GPS restrictions, the tee boxes were abysmal, the fairways were shoddy; the greens were however in decent shape, so I will give them that. I would generally advise you avoid this course if you care about conditions even a little. If, however, you enjoy playing on a run down goat track, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!
Played early this morning with my wife. We played the Lakes 9 and pace of play was good, but the fairways need some serious attention: there were gopher mounds EVERYWHERE. Tee boxes were ok, greens were decent. I wish they would make more of an effort, but it is still good for what it is...
Played 6/22 at 3:30. Got stuck behind a SLOW foursome and a walker who did not want to pair up...got past the foursome at the turn and had a much more pleasant back nine. Course was in good, but not great, shape. Tee boxes were mostly good, greens were pretty good, but there were some spotty areas in the fairways...Course needs a bit of work, but still very good.
Went out and played a mid-morning round 1/2/22. Course was still damp from recent rain, but not terrible Green were in good condition, tee boxes could use some love. Pace of play was great...went out alone walking, passed the fivesomse (?!) ahead of me at the turn, and didn't see another group the whole way around. As this was my first time playing the course, my score was not great, but I will definitely be playing here again as the rate was reasonable, the course was challenging, but not overly demanding, and it was VERY walkable, which is nice for a person with a bad knee like myself.
CHEERS!

Went out to play a quick 9 at 5pm. Played the lakes and was behind what appeared to be the two only other people on the course. Pace of play was decent. Greens are still showing signs of having been aerated. Tee boxes were ok, fairways ok, etc. Tee box on #1 is back open, so that is good. Overall the course is in decent shape. I wish they would step up their maintenance a bit (and that people would fix their divots), but its DEFINETLY worth the money.
Went out with a couple of friends to play 18 on 9/22/13. Teed off at 2pm. Course was in OK condition, but this is NOT a luxury golf course by any stretch. Between the shabby clubhouse, to driving through drainage ditches and under the freeway, this course leaves quite a bit to be desired. That said, the course is tight and challenging (BRING EXTRA BALLS!). We all had a good time, but agreed the course is a bit quirky. Will play again if i get get a discount (paid $30 which felt like a steal, but was probably about right), not not a destination course!
Had the chance to play the Champions course with a group from another forum. We teed off on 4/7/13 at 8 am. The course was in immaculate shape for a Canadian PGA event that day. The course was VERY challenging, but again in beautiful shape. I would HIGHLY recommend this course, especially if you can play it in cool weather on a discount. Not sure how much fun Beaumont will be in July or August....My one and only complaint would be that when we made the turn, no one was manning the snack shop, so I was unable to get a bit before heading to the tenth....Not sure if this is a regular problem or not (HOPEFULLY not).
Played the back nine at this course this morning, 7am tee off. Fairways were in worse than usual condition. Greens were ok at best. Only upside was that they appear to have added tee areas off the matts for a few holes (16,18), but even these were off dirt. Overall, this course is ok assuming you set your standards low enough. If you like a nice course with good conditions, probably best to avoid this one...
Went and layed it on a sunday. Course wasnt too crowded, but got backed up as the day went along. Tee boxes we a bit chewed up, but the fairways were decent and the greens were quite nice.
As a high handicapper, I will state that the layout of this course, which lots of elevation changes and narrow fairways, was VERY challenging. Would certainly play again however.
