Played DeBell last month for the first time in six months. Pace of play was a problem, as many par 3 holes were backed up beyond just waiting on the next group to tee off... The course was in pretty good condition (I've played it many times and would have to say it's remarkable how well maintained it is given the rounds played on it. Best advise is to hit 3 wood and hybrid alot - it's narrow but remains fun and challenging... Still a really good value...

played Sunday twilight - $68 w/cart - our foursome felt like we were alone on the course - everyone's very nice and the course is a lot of fun - many challenges and very well maintained...

A lot of fun - went out at 7:30, basically had no group in front of us - very enjoyable round - course condition was certainly a factor...

Hadn't played at Brookside in nearly 18 months - it would have been more fun if the greens were a little more even, but given my low expectations, pace of play and overall condition were alright. This course gets so much usage, it's a wonder they can keep it this together. Still, I'm in no hurry to return (and definitely not in the summer again! - wow, it was hot!)...

On 1/2/03, winds were beyond difficult. At first it was a true test, than the back nine was all but unplayable. We guessed we could say we know what Scotland must be like! I'd probably go back when I knew the air would be calmer, but it's a beautiful facility and a fun course.
