Course was in very good condition, greens are smooth and moderately quick. The rain has led to the greens holding approach shots better than they ordinarily do. Little to no rough on the course, or the rough is very low in most places. Tends to be very little wind in the mornings, but finish before 2pm before it starts to kick up and really affect distance. Overall they course is in great shape, the rain did not make it sloppy at all, lush and green.
Course was in pretty good shape. The greens tend to get really damaged by ball marks and might be watered a little too much. Although they don't look great they putt very true. The course plays much shorter than the listed yardage. Wind is one of the main defenses to this course, with many of the holes running along the top of the ridge line. When the wind is up it can be difficult to score. The new Canyon Crest nine is much easier than the two older nines, but can still be a challenge when the wind is up.
Great golf course. Hard to figure out where to put it with so much sand on a lot of the holes, make sure to check the GPS to see distances to bunkers and hazards. Greens were a tad slow, but very true and pretty accepting even in the afternoon.
A good layout with 3-4 really bad golf holes...#3, #8, #17. #2 and #3 especially from the tips are not fair golf holes, just try to get by with bogie and move on to the better holes.
Will not allow walking. A decent course, but the grass has never seemed to grow completely in... can be spotty in some fairways. A little $$ for the condition of the course.

THE best golf course for the money I have ever played. Fantastic difficult layout. Try to keep your score decent at the close of both nines #6-9 and 16-18 and very difficult and can ruin a good day. Bunkers always tend to be unraked and sand can be very uneven...the only knock I have on the course.
Great golf course, keep an eye on any ball headed for the rough...very long stuff. Try to keep the ball below the hole on #1, #5 and #10 or you might not be able to stop it coming back the other way.
Course is WIDE OPEN on most holes, OB is usually not in play no matter how bad the shot. Ball tends to sit down in rough, which can be pretty thick. Overall plays easier than the rating and scorecard would indicate unless the wind is really howling.
