Played Saturday, 4/11/15, at 10:15AM with my monthly club. Course continues to make improvements a la Rio Hondo in sprucing up the overall vibe, improvements to the driving range, adding a sand practice area, adding a couple strategic bunkers on some holes, new (very good) sand in bunkers, greens being well taken care of. Not too crowded today, sunny, warm and generally light breezes. Course is in good condition and very playable throughout. Greens were smooth, meduim fast, and held shots. Tees are level and most are in good condition, except par 3s. Only a couple need leveling. Fairways generally good but the ball tended to sit low in the thin grass. Rough cut very short. Avoid the many trees and scoring is possible.

Played this morning in a great time of 3 hours. Thanks to the group ahead of us who allowed us to play through on 11 (very gracious of you). Overnight rains seemed to wake the course up a little. Fairways (though damp when we started) were in good shape, provided good lies and decent roll. Very little rough to speak off and no issues if you were in it. Tee boxes were a little shaggy (as previous reviewer mentioned) but no issues with tees (as previously mentioned). Sand traps were fine and offered no problems. Greens were mowed and putted extremely well. In fact they were fast after drying out. Did not notice any damage (as previously stated). I did notice that on # 13 the last dying tree is now gone at the 150 marker. Two still remain, but you are now able to hit over 2 instead of 4 as before. Much more room to hit your drive as opposed to before. Customer service at all levels was excellent. Enjoyable round of golf on a fun course.

Played my GK Cup 7 match play round with Zoocropolis at Los Amigos on Saturday and the course was in pretty good condition, but a few issues come to mind. The tee boxes are certainly feeling the wear and tear, and a few are really tough to even get your tee into. Suppose it's understandBle with so much traffic, but was better before.

Played just a few weeks ago here and much remains the same. Good fairway coverage, rought very playable, traps with good sand, and the greens, while good, perhaps a bit on the slow side and seemed to be a bit more unrepaired ball mark damage than prior outings. Still, they rolled true and held shots well.

We waited on a good number of holes despite the course not looking as full as before, finishing the round in just over 5 hours. I'll write up match details in another thread for anyone interested.

Played today 8:15 tee time. Started with brkfst sandwich w/oj $6 bd deal. Got us out on time $27 to walk.

Played today 8:15 tee time. Started with brkfst sandwich w/oj $6 bd deal. Got us out on time $27 to walk.
course is in best shape in long time. Tee boxes were decent not too beat up, frways nice and green a few thin areas but not bad. Greens were in great shape, quick had just been rolled, bunkers had good sand.

Pop was 4hr 15min. Great 19th hole deal, cold pitcher Stella Artois with plain nachos $19 can't beat it. Good customer service all around.

Hey fellow golfers. I played Los Amigos this Sun, March 22nd. I started around 12:30 and finished at 5;30. I guess that's standard for weekend golf. This is a pretty flat course as far as elevation goes. A few of the fairways have some mounds but nothing that will hurt you. The tee boxes were all pretty much level with a fair amount of grass on them but the grass just wasn't cut short enough for my taste. I think they leave it long because of the amount of play it gets. The fairways did not have any dirt spots with a little bit of roll to them. The greens were rolling ok so that means they were about a 8.5. Overall, it's a nice little course with plenty of trees but not much trouble to get into. Enjoy.

Conditions at Los Amigos remain very good - the fairways have really good coverage for an LA County course - very green all around. The greens were in really good shape as well , as was the sand in the traps (which I got to know far too often today). Rough not too penalizing so just make sure you have a line to the pin. Speaking of the pin - some tough pin placements today. Now to the bad. No problem getting off on time at 12:52, only to run into a FOUR group pileup at hole 2. This continued throughout the day contributing to a six-hour round. Sorry, but there are limits to how much a golfer can take! But it was all very pleasant company amongst the groups so that was nice. Also, the tee boxes were a bit too hard for my taste - really had to drive that tee in there. But overall Los Amigos is still good value and I'm sure (hope?) today's ridiculously long round was simply an anomaly.

1st time playing here in over 25 years, only remembered maybe 1/3 of the holes. Walked the blues (6212/68.7/118) in 3h, 45m on their standard walking rate of $27. The greens had recently been vericutt, but it did not really affect the putting. They putted medium speed and held approach shots well. The fairways and rough are both winter thin but generally have good coverage. The traps were in decent shape with an adequate amount of good sand. The tees were OK, some were thin and could use some divot repair. The customer service was excellent, they got me right out on the 1st tee and matched me up with 3 nice guys. The course was in decent condition overall. Shorter course with numerous doglegs, course knowledge would be beneficial if you are unfamiliar with the layout. I actually thought it was slightly under rated on it's rating/slope compared to some other comparable shorter courses like Santa Barbara, Los Robles & Buenaventura. I would play here again. Fun course with some fun holes.

Able to get in a quick early morning round on my was up to LA. Course was actually in reasonably good condition, better than expected ! They have really done a nice job in bringing this course back into playable condition. Greens were a little slow for my taste, but it was early, so maybe later when they dried out, they would be quicker.

Enjoy playing this shorter course as it offers a nice variety of holes and allows for a number of birdie opportunities. Staff was great - friendly and accomodating.

Played this AM in 2:30 (walking). Course is in nice shape after the rains. Fairways are dry, cut and providing good lies/roll (doing some repair work on #14 but not an issue). Bunkers were still damp (not in any) but they appeared playable. Rough was minimal in most areas. Tee boxes were cut/level. Greens were mowed and provided excellent putting, chipping and held shots very well. Very little if any divot damage on any of the greens. Customer service was excellent. Great course to get in a quick 18 and easy to walk.
