Played here on Wednesday April 20th. Although the course is not very long it presents a very good challenge. Course management and hitting to specific spots will do much better than just seeing how far you can hit the ball. The greens are tricked up and have lots of undulations, however, they run true and there’s just about no air time when you putt. We played the Ridge to Creek in just four hours. Senior rate was $44.00 before 8:30 AM. Course is in great shape.

Goat track. Where's the grass? Record setting rains in California and the course is brown. It actually looks like they overseeded but the course is very thin. One good thing, it was dry and the ball rolled forever. Layout was decent and very fair from the tee boxes. Greens were way too tricked up, with multi-levels and undulations everywhere. Some fun holes and worth the twilight rate. Good course if you just want to tune up your game. Go elsewhere if you want good conditions.

Played at 2:00 on Wed. Price is right ($34.00 with cart.) I like this course, it is user friendly. Holes are not to long, so you have many chances to reach green in regulation. Greens are playing slower than I remember. Someone said there were complaints about the extreme speed, so the greenkeeper is cutting them a little higher. This course would rank higher if they improved the sand bunkers, they tend to get wet and hard,
but they are hazards.

I played Saturday afternoon under the Super Twilight rate ($34). Went off at 2:15 and the course was almost empty, so I finished all 18 just after sundown. The rain stayed away all afternoon. Given all the water, the course was in fantastic condition. Just one (major) problem, and it isn't the course's fault. I just can't understand why a golfer who can hit the green with his shot is dumb or thoughtless enough to ignore the ball mark left behind. Come on people - it's time to get tough. I suggest that course marshals watch groups on the green, instead of just being "clock police." A person or group not repairing ball marks should be given 1 very clear warning, then escorted off if they can't comply. It seems like every place I play these days has the same problem, and it can ruin an otherwise great course.

I played Valley/Ridge today. There were a few bunkers flooded and a few spots that were a little soggy, but overall the course drains well and was in very good shape. There were quite a few ball marks on the greens, none of which were mine because I couldn't seem to hit any greens. I guess only the diehards were out because the pace of place was fast--finished in 3 1/2 after starting around 1:00.

Played Ridge/Creek today. Course was extremely WET today as could be expected from all the recent rain. At least half the bunkers were ponds, though grounds crew were pumping them. Like others have said, there was some pretty bad ball mark damage on many of the greens. Repaired 1 or 2 other ball marks on every green, and we went off at 7am! Some @ssholes just have no clue about common courtesy. Marshalls need to be looking for that on par 3's. Still a decent and scenic course to play at discounted rates (check click4teetimes.com and the course's website), but I wouldn't pay full price.
