Course is still recuperating from aeration. With that in mind, it's in pretty good shape. Greens were in good shape and slick. Very fast. It'll be back to 100% in a week or so.

As said before --- Bunkers are thin --- need more sand. The rest of the coursre is in great shape --- Greens running about 10 to 11. Nice course and the staff are very nice.

Played 10/26. Like they said, they overseed only 9 holes at a time, leaving 18 open to play in decent condition.

The course is in great shape. The sand was thin and you got a lot of club bounce for a thin shot --- they need more sand in the bunkers. Quit foggy in the morning, however, there were enough staff to make everything move smoothly. The senior rate before 8:30 in the morning was $39.00 --- Very good deal. They really need better facilities at this course --- restaurant, club house, etc.

Despite having a temporary clubhouse, and a very confused starter.....it was a truly memorable round. The service could be better but I and other higher handicaps should enjoy this course since it doesn't play very long and isn't too tight. We played Creek / Valley and I was bombing the driver today. Made eagle on No. 7 Valley (Driver 300, 3 Wood 230, 2 ft. putt). My 2 greatest shots getting there! Also made 40 foot chip-in birdie on #1 handicap on Creek course. I will definetly play this course again and again after today. For the money, this course is much nicer than higer priced, less scenic courses in O.C. If you haven't played Aliso Viejo yet, try it.....just be patient with the check-in diversions, the starter, and get there early on weekend.

Three of us "old valley boys" make the drive to play Tijeras Creek at 7am and this course in the afternoon. It's a good thing we did...it saved the day. Nice staff,t and unlike the more expensive Creek course well kept. The only real problems were the RECENT ball and spike marks on the greens. We should all put a bounty on players who don't repair! Worth every dime for a nice afternoon game and grreat views.
