Played for the first time on 1/3/08 since they added another hole which is #16, a 220 yd (blue) or 245 yd (black) par 3. Replay holes are #3 & #4 which in the order of play are #1, #2, #17 & #18. I know, sounds confusing which it is and something you will have to experience yourself to figure out. The last two holes are in the process of being put in and they look to be a par 5 & 4 which when completed will give the course the conventional number of 3, 4, & 5.

This course is going private in the near future, but rumor has it that they will allow outside play on certain days. As of January 1st, 2008 membership is going to cost 27K plus $100+ dollars a month. They're going to cap membership at approximately 400 and have around 200 or so currently signed up. Once all the holes are in and the club house built the monthly dues go up to $400+

Even thouugh the course is under construction it is priced reasonably at $44 during the week and $59 on the weekends. Course itself is in pretty good shape despite all that is going on. Probably the best value in the area including the munis.

Greens in okay shape but a bit slower than normal, rough can be deep in some areas, so beware. Construction still going strong along south side of the course.

Played Columbus Day at mid-day rate of $39. Only 15 holes open with repeating the first 3. Unfortunately, these are the weakest holes on the course (fairway woods can be played on all three even from the blacks). Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Knowledge of the course is extremely important= knowing the bailout areas (typical of a Nicklaus design) and also jail. Many fine par 4's, especially after the back to back (and only) Par 5's. The replacement holes are in process, including a long downhill par 3. Enjoy this rough but gem of a course before it goes private.

I played the course on Tuesday morning, 9-18. The course seems a lot more beat up than when I played a week or two ago (see earlier review). The greens were fine, but the fairways have deteriorated, with lots of bare spots. The traps seemed uneven and many were pretty wet (not sure if that's normally because I usually play afternoons) so it was quite an adventure in them. The were a lot of wet spots, and I lost two balls in areas that should have easily been found, but were probably plugged. It cost me four strokes!

Played Sun 9/16. You play 15 and come back and do three as a few holes are under construction. Course was in pretty good shape considering construction. Didn't notice the ball marks on greens as much as some others reported. Some bare areas across fairways, but its the end of summer. I think this course will come around nicely after construction is completed. A fun course to play with some beautiful views of OC. Red Dot had us in what I thought was a fair price for this course "as is". Will come back and play again.

Played today Sept 17. Course was in decent shape, some dry areas but not too bad. Greens are still terrible, no one fixes ball marks, I was fixing 4-5 that were in my line, sometimes 6-7 while I waited to putt out. Greens were fast and played true, but ball marks made putting difficult. Played in 4 hrs, could have been 3 1/2, but wasted time going back and forth to replay 3 holes (15 are open, scuttlebutt has it rest may be open by next year). Due to all the constuction going on for clubhouse, social center, and new homes getting around to other holes is more difficult, lots of dusty trails to go around.

The good part - front desk was cheerful and friendly, Player assistant was friendly, offered advice, and gave out directions for getting around.

No food for early tee times, they open coffee shop around 7-7:30 AM, our tee time was at 7AM. Cart came around once while we were on back nine.

$35 with Red Dot discount was good price, would not come back to play until the mess is done with. Give it a 5 on the scale, due to good service, decent playing conditions of the course (exception is the greens)

Never, and I mean NEVER, have I seen soooo many unrepaired ball marks on putting greens. People, PLEASE take 15 seconds to repair your ball mark if you land one one the green. Or fix a couple while ... Continue »

Never, and I mean NEVER, have I seen soooo many unrepaired ball marks on putting greens. People, PLEASE take 15 seconds to repair your ball mark if you land one one the green. Or fix a couple while you're waiting to putt. The heat's taking it's toll, but the course is holding up, and it's begging for water. The rough is deep in most areas, keep an eye on it. Replay No. 4 to it a 19 hole course, you hellcat you.

I played the course this week in the afternoon. It was hot, so not many golfers, and the pace was good. The course is in about the condition it usually is, but a few fairways look a little burned. Don't let the practice green , which is in bad shape, scare you away.

FYI there are actually 15 holes open and you replay the first three. This was the first time here and i really enjoyed this course. To bad this course is going private soon!!
