Played Saturday 4.17.21 in an early tee slot. This course is nice and is good shape right now, but there is NO WAY on God's green earth that this course should be as expensive at it is. This course is flat, relatively benign, and sandwiched between a million apartments. It is a longer version of Birch Hills. They should be charging half the cost that they do. Apparently they are under new management and have made some recent changes. The greens were still healing from aerification, had some bald patches, and were firm. The bunkers were excellent, and the fairways were good for the most part. Couple thin spots, but not many. I don't mind this course, but for the cost, I cannot justify playing here that often.

Played Tustin Ranch Tuesday morning and the weather was quite cool and a little breezy. Check in was very simple and off to the 1st tee I went. The putting green is closed but the range and the restaurant are all open. I played with 3 very nice people, Dave, Tony & Ashley all regulars who play there once a week. We all played the blues except Ashley who played the whites. Tee boxes all looked good and I didn’t notice any unfilled divots on the par 3’s. Fairways were in very good shape but what I don’t like about the course is on certain holes it is cart path only and they don’t tell you that on the screen, so naturally I hit it way right opposite of the cart path. I was in a few sand traps and still no rakes or sand bottles on carts, however the traps had the white sillica sand and they are really nice to play from. The greens had recently been punched and are still a little bumpy but they rolled ok. There is virtually no rough here as the course is surrounded by homes, condos and apartments. I like this course for a couple of reasons, one it’s close to my house and two, it’s not too difficult but still presents a challenge at 6400 yards. I used a tee off deal and paid 49.00 so that price I thought it was a deal and not sure if it’s worth the regular of 90.00 during the week. I would definitely recommend the course..

Out to Tustin Ranch for a friends bday yesterday. The greens were bumpy and slow, running at 8/8.5. They are punching greens on 3/15. Fairways were green and had good coverage. Rough was not very penal and traps were not maintained or raked. POP was 4:15. Snack shop was open and customer service was efficient and pleasant. I am a monthly member here so my green fees were just $59, but public rates over $100 is way overpriced. Despite that, the tee sheet was packed. I play here because my buddy is a member too and its a good spot for me to see clients in Orange County. Will return again next month to see if greens improve.

Played back nine early 9/15/20. Shocked to discover that greens were severely damaged with many bare spots. Furthermore they were heavily sanded. No warning about this condition when we checked in and still charged full member rate. Very surprising development as the course had been in superb shape since coming back from Covid lockdown.

Played TR this past week, playing in a small tournament. $80 bucks green fee for the day. A little steep but I don’t play here a lot and really love the course so what the hec! 8:50 tee time and single carts which I thought would make a great pace. Wrong! About 4:45 to play. Not sure what the holdup but was pretty disappointing. It got hot and waiting was no fun. Oh well!

The course is in great shape. Didn’t have a bad lie out there. Fairways did have some thin lies but not many. The rough was not too thick and very playable. Wasn’t in any bunkers but they looked to be in good shape. Tee boxes, no complaints.

The greens, as usual, were in great shape. Not real fast but rolled nicely. Some have severe undulations which I struggled with. Pin placement knowledge is important. Sadly, 4 putted #7. I’ll remember that hole.

A thoroughly enjoyable day on a very nice golf course with a great layout. Definitely recommend

Out at Tustin Ranch yesterday with 3 buddies at 11:30 am. The only reason anyone I know plays Tustin Ranch is because of their superb birthday special. I am glad Clickitgolf provided me reasonable fee to play it the other 364 days of the year. Otherwise, this place is expensive given it's location in Orange County. Course was in great shape. Greens were running smoothly at around 9.5. Fairways and rough in great summer shape. Several areas marked GUR that did not affect overall conditions of play. Sand traps were good shape and rakeless. Customer service was excellent from Jay in clubhouse to Art the starter to our waiter in the outdoor dinning after the round. The range was packed. Single riding carts enabled 3.45 hour round. A little too quick for my day off...but glad to be out. Would return with a discount absolutely!

Played today, late afternoon round. Made tee time online, pay at course. Driving range open, mats today. Finished 17 in the dark - too late/dark to squeeze in 18. Course is busy but pace was really good.
Been a long time since I played here. Conditions are pretty good. Tee boxes are good, level, not too much divot damage other than par 3s which is expected. Fairways are very nice. Some wet spots, and some areas of the rough are brown, but not very high. Bunkers a mixed bag, some with lots of footprints and others with no issues. Greens were ok, lots of footprints and some unrepaired ball marks. Hard to complain playing so late in the day after all the traffic. They held shots well and rolled medium speed. Gotta be on the right tier with the flag or else good luck.
Only my 2nd round since Covid. My golf will be mostly limited to these types of late evening rounds, and hope to get back out here in the next week or two.

Got a chance to check out this very nice course in the heart of Tustin. The course is in pretty good shape and has a very nice layout. It looks like it has the potential to be amazing, but there are a few areas that really prevent it from being worth the $100-160 they charge which is outrageously overpriced for this course. Max should be $65 during the week, and maybe $95 on a weekend.

Pros:
* Lush layout with lots of trees for shade.
* Firm covered fairways which give nice rollouts.
* Very fast greens and great condition.
* Some short par 4's that require precise course management
* Golf carts are excellent with great GPS
* Sand traps were PGA tour quality sand
* Decent driving range.
* Pace of play was great! 4 hours.

Cons:
* Some greens have 3 tiers and are ridiculously hard. Punishes good shots.
* Greens very fast with difficult pin placements and undulations.
* Fairways, while mostly covered with grass were thin and brown considering price.
* No hole markers signs anywhere. Can get lost.

The biggest con was the outrageous green fee price! This is not a $160 course! I was lucky to have a won a free round and I thoroughly enjoyed the round we played. I would have been disappointed at $160, but if you can get a good deal, it is a mostly beautiful course to play and feels like a Palm Springs resort course in the middle of Orange County. Not bad considering just reopened from Covid and course didn't get it's usual fully staffed maintenance. Just bring those green fees down and I'd visit a lot more often!

played here mid morning sunday with a friend of mine. course not that busy so kind started was able to get us out a bit early. course is in winter-ish condition, with fairways on the thin side and plenty of roll. rough was a bit patchy but not much to contend with. teeboxes were in good condition. fringe areas were patchy with different types of grass, sort of felt this was the worst part. a couple of greenside areas had areas of sod where it doesn't seem the grass took and what's left is just rectangles of grass death and dirt. bunkers had a nice thick layer of sand in most, except for 16 which the greenside was kind of packed down. greens were running medium quick and smoothly, not too many ball marks out there. try to be on the right tier, or 3 putts will be aplenty. POP was less than 4 hours for a weekend morning which i consider pretty good. conditions were fine, but nothing to write home about.
