Went out early 12/26/14 and had a blast. It was surprisingly chilly the last couple of days and took a while to warm up. Haven't played in a long while and this was a good course to get back into it. The layout was pretty easy. I don't really remember any doglegs or anything that made it difficult or unfair. The fairways are pretty flat too. Not many water holes on this course. Not many trees on the course. It was fun for my friend and I since we got to ease back into it after Christmas with the family. The course was pretty wide open and forgiving for a hacker like me that sprays the ball all over or likes to play army golf. The few times I actually hit the fairway on my drives, they were in pretty nice condition. The rough was maintained pretty well. Of course the few times I lost my balls, I landed in the areas that where it grew a little longer. The greens were maintained well. Maybe it was because we were there so early before people started messing it up. It seemed like people actually repaired their marks here, which is a really good thing. I'm not used to that playing in LA. The ball rolled pretty well. When we left it looked pretty backed up (I swear it wasn't because of us), but it looked pretty crowded too. I didn't ask what the pace was supposed to be but we finished in under 3 hours. According to the card, it should be a little over 4. I saw a school of kids show up in the later morning and it looked to be pretty busy. I know we came early, but we did see the cart girl around hole 17. I should've picked up something from the shop because I didn't realize they didn't come out until earlier. I was reminded that at another course we went to this weekend. It would've been nice to be reminded of that here, but it's not a big deal. Just more of an FYI to anyone going out early. Carts had GPS but not the high end GPS with maps, just text. It worked though and no complaints here. It's not a hard course and if I were looking for a challenge, I'd probably play somewhere else or warm up here first. But it was forgiving for us non-pros and I'd bring my friends who need that forgiveness. The staff was very friendly and the facility was clean. The bar didn't have a great selection of hard drinks/beer, but definitely not a reason I would choose a golf course. I'd definitely come back and play it again.

Course conditions are very good. Tee boxes are lush. A couple are not quite level from the Cimarron tees (the tips). He fairways are very nice but the grass is a little long, possibly due to the overseeding finishing only a few weeks ago. Rough is manageable, sand is nice and playable, and the greens are in spectacular shape. They roll smooth and true, but roll slower than they look.

Played today 10/27 at 2pm. First time out at this course, was immediately impressed with how the course looked. Fairways and rough were in great shape. Greens rolled well, still on the slow side but look to be in great shape at this point in the season. This course is a great value for the winter season with a good mix of par 3s and a few longer par 4s. To top it all off, the pace of play was under 4 hours (Finally).

Early a.m. 3 hour round with the maintenance crew getting the course ready for the day with blowers and mowers. The course is in very good shape right now. The greens are quite a bit slower that the coastal or valley courses, don't know if I ever will get used to that! The area near and around most of the greens was very damp from watering for the heat. This is a very well maintained course and enjoyable to play. I did notice there were very few trees to worry about or use for shade during the round. The fairways, rough, and traps were in good shape with my only complaint being a few wet traps. This is a nice course and a good test for average and better golfers. This place really reminded me of Summerly in Lake Elsinore. Will be back again!!

5 groups of us came out here for a Sunday fun day. This links style course opened their doors for us a little before 6:00am to accomodate our group to finish before it got too hot. The course was in great condition from tee to green. Everyone was very impressed! If you get a chance to play here in the desert this summer, come to Cimarron, will not disappoint!

$10 for 18 holes with a cart on a prepaid GolfNow deal was too good to pass up. Played the Blues (6328, 69.6/117) in 2 1/2 hours. The customer service was excellent, the Marshall came by twice checking on water. The layout is straight forward, no doglegs with a few holes that bend slightly left or right. A few lakes, but not that much water overall. Many holes have a wash on one side, and a few have OB on one side. No obvious blind shots or severe elevation changes. Not an overly tight course, most holes I felt like I could grip it and rip it. The greens were medium speed, reasonably smooth and putted well. The fairways were generally lush. Tees lush and well maintained, even the par 3 tee's were in relatively good shape. The first cut of rough is mowed down to almost fairway level, lush and not penal at all. The native rough is very hit and miss, everything from hardpan to clumps knee deep. The traps were well maintained, freshly raked with nice sand. My only complaint on course maintenance would be that many greenside sand traps have rocks that you need to look for and remove or you could seriously mess up a club.

Played the Blues (6328, 69.6/117) in 2H, 15M on a GolfNow prepaid deal of $10 including cart mid day. Customer service was excellent, I literally had the course to myself. There were exactly 3 cars in the whole parking lot when I arrived @ noon, and I assume the Marshall and Pro shop guy accounted for 2 of those? Because it was overcast, it appeared cooler than the 105 it actually was. The layout is pretty straight forward, no doglegs with a few holes that bend one way or the other. Many holes have a wash on one side, and a few have OB on one side. A few lakes, but not that much water overall. Not an overly tight course, most holes I felt like I could grip it and rip it. The greens were firm, putted medium speed and were reasonably smooth for bermuda. I saw the lines well. The fairways were generally lush & well maintained. Tees generally lush and well maintained, not many unfixed divots. The rough was lush and not too penal. The first cut is very well maintained and mowed down almost as much as the fairway. The native rough is hit & miss. I played a couple of long irons out of it w/o issue but also lost a couple of balls in the high stuff that could only be a foot from a playable lie. The traps were very well maintained, freshly raked with nice sand. However, many had some rocks mixed in. I liked the course and will definitely put this one in my P.S. rotation.

ONE of our FAV track in the PS area. weather was hot but nothing we can't bare. beautiful conditions from tee to green. POP was great considering on weekend, under 4.5/hr

tee boxes were lush and level. fairways were mowed and kept just like carpet. your tee shot will benefit from it. rough area were well kept (1-3in/avg). aprons were very nice as well. greens ran medium pace & held well in my opinion even though it was dry. traps were okay hearing from my golf mates. MOST definitely will return for future play
