Played the Golds (6794/72.6/128) in 4.5 H using Forelinx. Matched up with 2 very nice vacationing Canadians, Keri & Teri. The weather was perfect, mid 80's, clear and a little breezy. The tees were lush. Well maintained but cut long. I had no issue finding a level stance with good grass on all tees. The over seeded fairways were lush and played well. The emerald green rough around the greens is over seeded and very lush. The dormant Bermuda rough around the fairways was generally good, it played better than it looked. The greens putted smooth and were medium speed. However, even well struck irons would release, stopping it even relatively close to your ball mark was almost impossible. Their firmness definitely had to be taken into account on every shot hitting the green, from full irons to chips. The sand traps were okay, above average. Well maintained with medium texture brown sand. The customer service was exceptional from everyone encountered. The starter, marshall, cart attendants and two different drink carts were all visible, helpful & friendly. The carts are equipped with GPS. This would be a challenging course to walk because numerous tees are a hike from the last green because the course is split up between three different residential complexes. This is a solid course in good shape. Good but not a great course. Fairly wide open layout with a good mixture of holes. Few forced carries other than several holes with lakes. The main difference in the Gold/Blues is made up on a few holes. Adding 2-3 clubs on three different par 3's gives the Gold tees a very different feel to the Blues I played my previous round here. Recommended if you desire a more modestly priced course in the Palm Springs area that is not too demanding.

Played the Blues (6386/70.7/124) in 4H using Forelinx. Matched up with 3 very nice vacationing northerners. The weather was perfect, mid 80's, clear and a little breezy. I was their 1st Forelinx customer, kudos to Mike in the Pro Shop for getting me out on time when the other people were unfamiliar with Forelinx and insisted I pay. Hal the starter was also really on top of things and very accommodating. The tees were lush and well maintained. I had no issue finding a level stance with good grass on all tees. The over seeded fairways were lush and played well. The dormant Bermuda rough was generally good, it plays better than it looks. The rough around the greens is over seeded and very lush. Played this course on Jan 19, 2016 and another day. It is in a very good condition. If you are a deal hunter, they have a very good deal here that includes a lunch, range, cart, and a round of golf for $79. The lunch at the grill is good.

Although this course is in a very good condition, there are a few quirky holes and the layout of holes in sections of the homes where it's built isn't too appealing to me... I am not a fan. Having said that, there are also many holes that are good and it is fun to play this course. I didn't ask if I could walk, but if you are, it's a hike from many greens to tee, and crossing many streets including a busy street with stop light.

But as for the maintenance goes, the course is in a very good playing condition in every aspect- tee to green. It's a pleasure to play it!

Joined GKer Nickesquire on 11/21/14 on what must be leg 37 of his Palm Springs-area golf marathon. IS was in the right place as we looked for a good combination of GK reviews, cost, and conditioning. We caught a good $55 deal on C4TT, and IS had just come out of overseeding that took place in early October and was allowing carts on the fairways, so off we went at 12:30 on a sunny warm day with little wind. The course is routed through an upper middle retirement-type community of single-story homes – we noted that, even with the nice conditions, we saw very few residents. Nick’s earlier posted review hit the high points – the small greens don’t have a lot of internal movement, but some have significant slope and all were in good condition, rolled well at medium speed, and showed very few ball marks. Fairways were a little fuzzy but lies were very good. Rough was dormant but easily playable, and the scattered trees were mainly decorative. Water is used primarily for decoration, although there are forced carries on a few holes. Bunkers were generally good, although we noted inconsistent levels of moisture in different bunkers. We saw the cart girl several times and cart attendants and shop personnel were friendly and helpful. While we played the gold tees, many of the markers looked like they might have been up at the blue distances, and overall the course seemed to play shorter than the posted distances, whether the firm conditions aided ball flight or the tees were just up. While in good condition, the course is pretty “vanilla” in comparison to better-known PS-area venues. Recommended with a good rate.

Second round of the day, my first time playing here. Met up with DConnally, we played the Golds (6794/72.6/128) in slightly more than 4H on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The weather was perfect, low 70's with at most a one club wind. We paid $55 on Click for tee times including a cart twilight, which I thought was a little high for this course. With that said, while there is no "wow factor" to this course, it was in very good shape. Fairly wide open layout with a good mixture of holes. The greens were smooth, firm, medium speed and putted well. The fairways were VERY lush, some of the best fairways I have played on this golf season. The rough was generally good, mostly dormant bermuda away from the fairway with overseeded grass closer to the fairways. The sand traps were decent, well maintained with thick, moist sand. The tees were lush and well maintained, I had no issue finding a level stance with good grass on all tees. The customer service was excellent The starter, the cart attendant and the drink cart person were all visible, helpful & friendly. The carts were equipted with what I would consider to be middle of the road GPS, it provided base yardages but was not as advanced overall as many other courses. Good but not a great course. I would play here again, but it would have to be at a more discounted fee.

Fairways were nicely kept and so were tee boxes. Roughs were nicely manicured and were not tough to get out from. Greens were smooth and had a nice roll from med-fast speed. Traps were good from the look of it becuz I didn't get in any of them. We like this layout better than our morning round from Indian Palms. There were quite a few "water" hole but none of my balls ever found the bottom of the lake/pond. It was a great round to finish up the day. Will definitely return

Played here with GKer Sixpez after our morning round at Mission Lakes. Paid $22.50 ea with GroupGolfer voucher and at that rate it was an absolute steal! We got checked in early and the guy in the pro shop said we could head right out. I wish I would have caught his name to give him some props because he seemed genuinely excited hearing that it was our first time here and he explained everything we needed to know about the course and its routing. When grabbing the cart to go out they have a water station with cups, water and ice. I was pretty frustrated to see that they didn't really have water out on the course very much. There were a couple bathrooms with just drinking fountains and vending machines. Cart girl came around a couple times in the beginning but must have made her last trip around before going home when we were on the 8th hole. Layout is fun but a bit weird, they must have redone some of the holes because some look new with nice water features and others look and feel very old just being completely straight and no trouble to get into. Tee's were fairly good but a couple different types of grasses and some being shaggy, Fairways were great to hit off of as well as the rough not being very penile. Sand looked really crusty and thin but I was in one and it was playable but could have used more sand. If you are playing in the summer heat do your best to stay out of the sand because it felt 20° hotter in the bunker. Greens were firm but in great shape rolling smooth and very minimal ball marks. Ran into a couple groups that let us play through and we ended up getting around in about 2 and a half hours. A little tip, try not to go too far left on the 9th hole tee shot. There is a little practice green up on the hill and lots of balls on the practice green so it will be tough to find your ball if you do wind up there and if have never played here and you are looking on google maps to try to figure out layout and routing then good luck.
