Played this course on 6/23/07. Went out at 5:45AM to beat the heat. I always marvel at how much water is put on this course. Some areas of casual water in the middle of fairways, but overall course is always in great shape - the greens favor good putters, they run true and fast. Driving is a challenge on several holes - either because of the trees narrowing the driving area or because longer drivers can drive through some fairways doglegs. Roughs areas are typically very narrow before you move directly to dirt or some very bare areas. But overall, well worth the money.

We played GO on June 9, 2007. Customer service was excellent. . . particularly with a rookie like myself. The course itself was in great condition with some divot-damage - though not grave. The pace of play was great as well. We had a great time and will likely play GO this weekend. Very worth its green fees.

Played General Old Saturday morning at 8:25. They had a starter/concierge on the first tee who informed us when to hit away and also tried to help find the tee shots of the other twosome we were paired with. That was a nice touch.

The course is in really nice shape. The greens are excellent, and through the fairways most areas that aren't in the greatest shape are marked as ground under repair. A few tee boxes could use leveling off, but otherwise no complaints at all. This is a great layout at a great price. Don't forget all the putts break toward the March AFB runway.

Played on 4/21 and course was in very good condition. The greens, as usual were very nice, smooth and medium fast. The fairways and teeboxes were also very well groomed. This is a highly played pub... Continue »

Played on 4/21 and course was in very good condition. The greens, as usual were very nice, smooth and medium fast. The fairways and teeboxes were also very well groomed. This is a highly played public track but is one of the best maintained in the southland, considering the cost of the green fees. It would be my first choice to play if my budget was limited and my desire to play a well conditioned and semi-challenging round of golf were the objective. Course is always, unless undergoing maintenance in very good to excellent condition.

The General is in great shape now. Teed off at 815 didnt have to wait to hit a shot all courses should play this way. If you are in the area stop and check it out, the course is is fair but it does ... Continue »

Played here Wednesday, March 14, 2007. Greens were in excellent shape. We were the first twosome out courtesy of Kiki (though he did try to set us up with another twosome on the back nine).

For $37 ($25 gf, $12 cart), it was a great deal. This course had country club conditions that morning. Tees were a 8, fairways another 8, and the greens were a 9. The only bad thing was the maintenance staff who were cutting grass near some of the greens on the back nine.

With DST kicking in, it is a great place to play morning golf in the Inland Empire because the sun comes up in the east where the 1st tee faces.

**Tips: Don't try to cut the doglegs if you really don't have the game for it. It is a pitch and putt for those who bring their A game off the tee.

Played 1/27. Wanted to play here after reading all the good reviews. I was a bit disappointed by the conditions. Could it be because of "winter" conditions? I don't know but the fairways were not in good condition and there were gopher holes everywhere. The greens were not receptive of and kind of shot as approach shots consistently rolled through the greens. One bit of advice we got and played true: ALL putts break towards the air force base. I hate to say it, but it seems like the "locals" rule the place as there was a group playing behind us and they had no problems voicing their opinions on the pace of our play -- despite the fact that we finished in 3 hours 45 minutes as a foursome! The couple we were playing with said "that guy" always says something. How disappointing for him. I can't really recommend this course because of the bad condition and the attitude from locals.
