Greens are a little bumpy and have not recovered from the punching as of yet.

Fairways are a bit sparse.

Bunkers played nicely.

Wish they would put water back into the ponds on 3 and 13. 13 is still my favorite hole, nothing like a drive sailing against that back drop. Only one that beats it in the IE is the fifth at Soboba.

A nice day overall. Not really anything remarkable or anything very maddening. The General has always struck me as a course with so much potential, just needs a bit of a redesign.

Only thing that really needs work is the range. The line needs to get tore up and leveled again. But on the plus side, you can work on downhill, uphill, and sidehill lies just by moving around on the driving line.

Greens were not bad, some were a bit bumpy...they need to be cut....the fairways were the worst I have seen them...nice mow patterns, but the fairways were very sketchy and almost "rough" like....I don't know if they have a waterting problem..but it needs to be tended to. The sand traps were consistant, and the staff was very polite and great. A nice course and challenging..but the conditons were not as good as I have played in the past...the price is right for the course and pace of play was great too.

Played today at 1. Cost 19 dollars with cart and was still not worth it. Worst conditioned course I've played this year. Tee boxes were not good, but compared to their fairways I guess they were decent. Fairways were awful, spots with just dirt, patchy grass, brown grass, hard pan, long grass, just awful. Rough was the same as the fairways, no distinction between the two. Bunkers were decent enough, but not good. Greens were fairly good, rolled medium speed, a little slow, too many un-repaired ball marks, but easily the best part of the course. Would not return at this time to play.

11/08/12: First off the price is very good and the course is enjoyable for the cost. Started at about 11:00am; pace of play was very good, finished in about 4 hours. The Tees were the biggest negative they were very uneven and on some you could not find a level spot. Fairways had good grass coverage but needed to be mowed, couldn’t determine rough from fairway on some holes and very little run out. Bunkers were good to very good, consistent and well maintained. The turf grass around the greens (and much of the fairways) is “Kikuyu” and was inconsistent in “depth”. Greens were well recovered from aeration. Pitch marks were not an issue, most had been repaired. The greens had not been mowed this day (many days?), and had spots where the rabbits had eaten them into a “corduroy” finish, the greens were quite slow and if you putted through these areas the ball would not hold a line.

Played 11-7-12 with our group of 15.

Customer service is always friendly and prompt. There's no cart girl, but there's a very nice restaurant/bar you can fuel-up on at the turn. (Great good tuna melts!)

The greens were very nice and smooth rolling medium speed. Fairways were very thin for the first 3-4 holes and then got decent the rest of the way. The rough is spotty at best, being non-existent in most areas, but plenty thick around the greens. Bunkers are ok and playable while the tee boxes here are notoriously uneven but fairly lush.

What you get here is a good old fashioned layout with plenty of doglegs and mostly small greens. A ball strikers dream course with few thrills. Worth the trip just for the views of the military aircraft that take off at March AFB and fly over the course!

Played yesterday at 11:45, 5 hour round. Course is in average condition throughout, overseeding has not taken hold yet so lots of bare areas out there. Greens were a bit inconsistent and bumpy. Might want to wait a few weeks for the course to green up a bit before playing here...that being said, I paid 23 w/cart on a Sunday and feel I got my money's worth.

Course is very straightforward, no tricked-out holes, everything's right there in front of you. Some long par 3s and some reachable par 5s make it interesting. The greens are pretty small and tricky to read...everything wants to break towards the runway in the distance so plan accordingly. I enjoy playing here regardless of the condition since it's always a good price, would play here more often if it was closer to me.

This is one where you get what you pay for. Very, very slow play. Over booked. Course in very poor condition, except for tee boxes. Greens were soft but so bumpy you could not get a true roll. It took 2:45 minutes to play 9 holes as a single.
