Played with 1scgolfer. Greens rolled surprisingly well, even after the aeration. I also didn't smell the dairy which is always a plus. If I wanted to smell that odor, I'll just step into 1scgolfer's bathroom. The Goose is one of my favorite golf courses. Challenging but fair and doesn't require any local knowledge. Just don't play if it rains the night before your tee time or you'll really "notice" the bordering dairy.

Played on 4/25 - good course for the $. The course is forgiving off of the tee box and presents some fun challenges without being unfair. Pleasant staff and speedy play made the day even more enjoya... Continue »

Pleasant staff and speedy play made the day even more enjoyable. The views aren't that great due to the dairy farm along a couple of holes, but if you're intent on golfing and not sightseeing this is a good place to play.

aerated greens last week so greens are not very good, but rest of course was great. sunday morning and nobody there. played in 3 1/2 hrs nobody in front or behind all day.

Great course. Well worth the $$. Only downsides to this place are the unsightly fences on some holes (not like they can do anything about this, though) and the cow smell (it IS next to a dairy farm, afterall) It's a great layout that provides plenty of choices off the tee, though the front nine seemed to have nothing but 380 yard par 4s.

Overall, a great value, a fun layout, and the putting course is a nice finishing touch for what seems to be a very nice practice area.

Great course! Each hole is unique with it's own set of challenges. Tons of fairway bunkers. It's in pristine shape. Par threes are very difficult from blues. Only complaints: 1): Sand in traps was rather hard, some had standing water and 2): A lot of the fringe directly adjacent to the greens had bare spots which made putting from there difficult. BUT, overall, a wonderful course! Easy to walk. In great shape. Worth the drive. Back nine much more difficult than front with two par fours over 450 yards long!

The Goose's fairways are as good as ever....rough is just that: "rough". Tee boxes are magnificent. Greens are a bit lumpy and scarred from too many people not fixing their ball marks...but aeration is scheduled to begin on 4/9. They will be PGA-quality this Summer! Greens are hard right now, sonsidering they got a lot of rain in a short period of time last nigh.....play below the hole and let your ball run up. Very few balls will hit-and-stick unless you put some Tiger Woods-like juice on the ball and are good at spinning a soft ball. $55.00 including cart, Friday morning walked right on NO waitin....4:15 round. Better'n workin' !!

I found greens to be solid but bumpy and discolored, sand traps like playing off cart path! Still a good course, but would agree with others that I have seen it much better!
