Very nice golf course. It is not as easy as it looks because the greens are tricky and there are big bunkers surrounding them. Good conditions, great prices and nice staff make this golf course a must play.

course is in good shape, but the greens were S-L-O-W! normally the greens roll great here, but for some reason, they were not that fast. overall, the course is still one of the best in the area.

This is a wonderful track. Every hole is different with unique challenges. The par threes are brutal. The greens were hard as cement. Wouldn't hold anything. You're better off playing ten yards short of the green and bouncing up cuz anything that landed on the greens bounced off or rolled through. Also, there were lots of thin areas on the greens and tons of ball mark damage. Staff could take more care in prepping greens each day. Fairways and rough were great. Everything is very green. Only complaint is the greens. Frustrating. But, hey, guess you gotta adjust your game.

Played this morning. What happened ?? Did all of the golfers go away for Memorial Day ?? We had a 6:59 A.M. starting time.... and played a "Saturday round" in just a hair *under* 4-hours! Never had to wait on a single shot, and had nobody behind us....AND we went off as a two-some. Goose Creek in the Twilight Zone!!

Course is in good shape....a couple of the greens were a little bumpy, but overall were putting fairly true. Medium to fast. There were more than a few places in the fairways that were over-watered - really much too wet, and - if they don't watch out, they will get some cart-wheel tracks dug in them.

But....they sure keep that place nice and green, I gotta say! Look at the pics on the GK site for The Goose. The course looks just like that!! And I was there the day they were taken, too!!

Played Goose Creek this morning...5/21/04/ The course is forgiving. I felt for a senior the fairways and greens were in great shape. I liked the fact that the price was right, and they had you on the clock to complete 18 holes in 4 hours. No slow downs, and the staff was very friendly.

The golf course was in very good shape.What made it not such a good experience was the fact that the group ahead of us was two holes behind. They had let the group in front of us play through and then fell severly behind. We were the fourth group off the tee and there was no marshall in sight to monitor the pace of play. Needless to say this backed up the whole golf course. We finally called the pro shop to complain and the person who came out to check was very rude. He said they were not that far behind and we should get done in just over four hours. The course's policy of keeping up with the group ahead was not even mentioned to the slow group. Our group plays early because we like to get a good paced round in on the weekend but having to wait on every hole on about every shot makes me think twice if I want to come back,pay $65.00 and have someone come out and tell me I'm wrong and I'll get done in a little over four anyway. The course management should adhere to their own policy of fast play.

course is in pretty good shape. greens getting better after aeration. still problems with marshall. thinks third group out in morning should play in a little over 4 hrs is ok, even though they were 2 holes behind. their second rule on score card says "must keep up with group in front of you" not just stay ahead of group behind you. third group out should play in less than 4 hrs. easy. if one fngolfer didn't oversleep it might have been better, because he is so slow.

The only complaint I have is that the course does not allow you to begin early enough. (Claim that maintainence needs time to prepare the course, which I understand) They almost always begin the day ... Continue »

The only complaint I have is that the course does not allow you to begin early enough. (Claim that maintainence needs time to prepare the course, which I understand) They almost always begin the day with a 4-some, which means that you have no chance of getting around as quickly as you'd hoped too. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say about this very fun golf course. Always a pleasure to play the "Goose"

Played in a tournament on Saturday and finished inside of 4.5 hours! The Marshalls were out doing a great job checking on the pace of play. Greens are a little slow still, but have pretty much recovered from the punching. Always enjoy playing this course!
