been a few years since we played Hidden Valley. Some changes some good some maybe not so good. Bad, cart # 54 was junk, steering, wireing, gps under the dash, pulled all day to the right, dirty. For a 40 minute drive and $47 ya would think a better ride. Good,, the course is in terrific shape, well worth the $$. Greens are almost perfect, tough and fast. Fairways were very good, tee boxes level and mostly covered with good tight grass. Fast round, lucky groups in front were good as we never waited. A good day except for the junk cart. We will return soon.

Played here on 10/30/12. Had a 9:10AM start time and arrived early. It was not overly busy and the starter put us out ahead of our time. As I had not played here in close to 15 years I did not remember much of the course at all. The greens were rolling nice, nothing overly fast, but being above the hole was costly a couple of times. We had a little bit of trouble finding our tees since we were not sure where they were place, being unfamiliar with the course. At least 3 different times we drove well past them sight unseen as there was no definitive markings on the path as to where they were. Only a couple of fairways were cartpath only and I could see why as the fairways were steep and possibly dangerous. I found the course to be a little more difficult than it probably is just because I was unsure as to where I wanted to hit to not having the course knowledge I needed. The same with the greens, not knowing the undulation, shape or contours made it a little more difficult than it should have been. I would play this course again.

Played 12-Oct-12 with a 730 tee time. The Good: The service was excellent, food very good, greens were soft, and pace of play around 4 hrs. The bad: Tee boxes were VERY uneven, fairways with huge divots and MANY, MANY bare spots. This course urgently needs care! The range is simply pathetic: worn mats, hitting uphill into a spotty mountain, impossible to get and feel for distance. Not sure what can be done about that...

This course is now off of our rotation...hoping something is done to restore it!

A very fun challenging course for every level of players. A course thats well worth the green fee everytime you tee it up, even if you play bad the view more than make up for your tough day lol. If only they fix the uneven tee box and make the cartpath to black tee more accessible this course would rank right up there on top Socal courses.

Played Saturday, 7/28 at 11:40, got out on time. Round lasted right around 4:30. There isn't much I can say that previous reviews don't already cover. The bunkers are rock-solid, some tee boxes are a bit uneven, and the rest of the course is in outstanding shape. The greens have recovered nicely from aeration, and they are very soft and a bit on the slow side but roll quite true. The beverage cart came around several times, and there are some locations with coolers full of ice water. Got a great online rate of $39. This course is target golf from every set of tees, so keep 'em straight, use your head, and you'll have no problem scoring well. If you're having an off day, though, make sure you bring lots of golf balls.

Played 7/5 morning. This is a nice track with challenging layout (elevation changes). However, IMO, unlike some ridiculously designed course in Corona area with hills and elevation changes, this is a fair and enjoyable course. It makes you use all clubs in your bag. Pace of play was normal. I had split impression about the condition. The fairway and rough were excellent. Although there were some divot marks, the fairway was very lush and balls sit up nicely. Same for rough - well maintained. The greens were well maintained but it was too slow for my liking. The bad - sand and tee boxes. Sand traps were wet and too hard. In one of the holes, the green side bunker felt like hitting a hard pan. Some tee boxes were not level. But nevertheless I enjoyed playing this course.
You will enjoy this course if you like challenging hilly course.

Played here July 4th. Hidden Valley is almost always in great shape. Challenging course as it is target golf. Only real complaints as some of the sand traps were hard as a rock. The guy at clubhouse wasn't really a happy camper, not the friendliest maybe because he was the only guy working on the 4th in the am? Otherwise a great place to play.

I played yesterday afternoon for $35 with a cart super twilight. Definitely worth the prices. This is a whole lot of golf course, and not really walk able. It takes you all through this valley as the name suggests tucked away in Norco. There is not a single hole that you are not being toyed with mentally. This course is tricky, and challenging. A great test course to really see where you're game is at. Don't bring anything but a fine tuned straight down the middle drive and approach game here. The elevation changes are insane, and the blind hazards and traps are very frustrating. I look forward to coming back to play again now that I've had the once through. It's very hard to eye ball the distances of where you're drives are going to end up and you can really get in trouble quick if you stray too far outside the very lush fairways. I had a local friend to play with so I got the "just don't go left" tips, but you really need a once through to know what shots to hit off the tee boxes. Not a long course but we played from the tips, which takes the difficulty to a new level on this course in particular. They have hidden tee boxes for the blacks that are up dirt path cart paths which is really cool and fun. I really liked this course as frustrating as it was to shoot so poorly do to simply not knowing the lay of the land. The carts cut off if you go in certain areas and they don't let you drive the carts on some of the fairways which is odd to me, but they do have very lush fairways so I guess it's for good reason out in the desert heat. For such a nice course they had some of the worse sand traps I've ever hit out of. They are hard as rock, they don't puff, and you can't really even guess how hard you should hit out of them. If you can get out for super twilight I highly suggest it, the price was very good for the quality of course and the challenge really poked some ever glaring holes in my game letting me know exactly what I'll be working on at my next range session. Speaking of which, their driving range was horrible. It's into a desert hill side off of some of the worst sun baked mats I've hit off of. Good for the feel of ball contact and loosening up some muscles, but horrible for gauging distance and what you're drive is going to be doing.

Played Hidden Valley in Norco today. Course was in excellent condition -- probably the best I've ever seen it. Fairways were green and lush with no hardpan or bare spots. Rough was 3 - 5 inches high but very playable. Greens were fast, but with a few bumps here and there. Played the round in a few minutes under 4 hours. No waiting to tee off except on the last few holes. Friendly staff.
