Played here on 7/26/08. The fairways were good but the greens were really really bad. I'm tolerant to most greens with bumps here and there but I'm talking about bare spots on some greens. I couldn't believe my eyes for the price and reputation of this course. Also all greens were so slow and felt like I was putting on the carpet. It felt like a carpet as well. Very poorly managed.....uncut greens. The only thing good was the scenery and signature Par 3 hole. I'm not going back until I read a good review of the greens.

Greens....apparently OQ hosted a big tournament a few weeks back and they tournament director asked that the greens be made ultra fast, so greenskeeper cut the greens to their liking and then we had the mega heat days hit - remember the 112 degree days a few weeks back. Well the greens got fried and they are doing all they can to get them back to their normal awesome shape. Fix your bite marks and two more while you are at it, that will help make everyones game more enjoyable.

I, too, played in the threesome with "murrlaw1" last Saturday morning. And I agree 100% with his review.

Greens are O.K. - - but they do have some fungal problems. They are working on it.

I actually got a call from the GM, Hank, Friday night with a warning about the greens. He also introduced himself in the clubhouse and asked us: "how was the round". He actually CARED! What a contrast to another course in the area. The rest of the staff followed Hank's lead. The rangers were all polite and efficient-invested in keeping the course moving. A foresome in front of our threesome understood the etiquitte of the game and cheerfully waved us through. and were polite and friendly throughout. It was a great experience and I strongly recommend OQ to all.

Don't be discouraged to go out there because of the heat. Because of the canyons and elevation, a lot of winds blow through which really cools you down throughout the day.

Don't be discouraged to go out there because of the heat. Because of the canyons and elevation, a lot of winds blow through which really cools you down throughout the day.

Played this past Saturday in recorded 105 degree heat, but it felt more like 85 because of the breeze. Pace was perfect, fairways were great, but the greens were awful. Not sure why everything is so great, but they don't focus on the greens.

I'm sure they will take care of the greens soon and I can't wait because this course is wonderful.

Nice venue, challenging layout and scenic ... good food in the restaurant. Played on a Friday with very few golfers on the course. Greens still a bit long, or 'puffy' as previously mentioned, which makes for some inconsitency ... might take a few strokes off your score. But, otherwise, good course to play when you're out Riverside way.
