Course is in the best shape in years and years!! The new owners have been bringing this course back to its original condition. The fairways have really improved and the sand traps have seen alot of attention also as of late. A definite place to play if in the area with friendly staff and an ever improving course - kudos to the new team here!!

This place is really shaping up after years of neglect under the previous owners.

Played here in late January in the Johnny Walker Cup with 7 other buddies and were treated like PGA pros by Nick and his staff. Even though we were just a small tournament, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and their professionalism ensured that our tourney went off on time and without a hitch. If you are tired of courses run by pompous a-holes who act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you onto their golf course, you need to have your next tournament at Legends and be treated like welcomed members.

Speaking of the course itself, I think most of the previous reviewers have it well covered. The greens are fantastic- smooth, rolled true and were medium-fast. Also, I'm not sure when the greens were aerated but ballmarks were pretty few and far between. The fairways and rough were dormant but there were also some bare spots which I'm confident will be addressed and repaired after the next reseeding. The tee boxes were level but in some cases were a little chewed up from divot marks. Once they get those two areas fixed up this is gonna be one hell of a course.

It has been 3 months since the last time I played here and noticeable improvement in the short time, The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pace of play was very good. If you have not played her in a while it is time to check it out.

The customer service here at the course is great and the head pro, Nick was fantastic. They held the local junior tournament here while we played. Tee boxes were decent along with the fairway and roughs. New management has taken over and is in process of revamping all the areas so the greens were the first to be redone. Fairways are very generous as the hitting areas with everything generally feeding back into the fairway. Driver not needed on every hole so tee boxes see damage from heavy iron use. I wont talk about much else as course is still in revamping stage, however, the greens were fantastic as the best I've seen in a long time, don't know how long it will last but most of greens feed back from back to front and speed was great with rolls being true. Approach yardage must be accurate as most greens have tiers and generally penalize you for being off with your yardages. Only gripe was the fact that my first time there, I don't have any knowledge, no gps nor any yardage books. Maybe they'll work on that. Anyways great place to play and enjoy the day with players of all levels and ages.

Like a couple of others recently said, we hosted our first annual JW Cup here. I pretty much agree with the others. Nick, the onsite pro, was very accommodating as well as the entire staff. It's service like theirs that will make you want to come back.

The greens were in very good condition and might rival those at Mile Square park if they keep up the good work. They weren't crazy fast like Eagle Glen or too slow like some of the muni's I've played.

The fairways were 'dormant' and not as well kept for the time being since all of their focus was on producing greens.

The tee boxes, while not perfect, were consistently more level than a lot of other courses I've played. There weren't any blind tee shots or those that have you wondering why they have you pointed in a certain direction.

Once the fairways get the same love as their greens, I can't wait to see how this course plays.

For those wondering where to go play if you have more than a 4 some, don't look any farther than Legends. No, I'm not talking about a tournament of 24 players..they can do that too....just a group of your guys.

Nick and his team helped us organize the inaugural Johnny Walker Cup. They went all out to make sure we had an amazing experience; from leaderboard setup to organize formats of 36 holes broken down by 9s, we left saying we can't wait to go back. They also mentioned they are going to start a MASTERS tournament where they have caddies dressed in white...for a very nominal charge. We can't wait to try that for next year.

As far as course condition, I'd say they are the best greens I've seen in a long time. We played Crossings the day before and these were much better. The layout is very unique with elevation changes and the course is a gem. Much of the fairways, tee boxes, and rough are dormant for the winter and should recover nicely by April. It's a Ted Robinson design and not too gimmicky.

If you want to host an event, these guys are great. They are under new ownership and really trying hard to turn it around. You can tell that it's a golf centered management group as the first thing they cleaned up are their greens. Keep up the great work guys!

Played in the 1st annual 2012 Johnny Walker Cup that my brother Otonitoni hosted. This was our 2nd and final course on Day 2. We had 8 total players and the matches were like Ryder Cup style in each 9. We played 36 holes here to determine the winner of the 2012 Johnny Walker Cup!

As you might or might not know, the course recently went through a ownership change. Nick, the general manager could not have put on a better event for us. We had customized scorecards for our tournament with caligraphy; an actual real time leadership updated by the starter. We event got red and blue Legends golf hats...and free lunch courtesy of Nick and the club. Nick even threw in a free foursome to come back and play the course. Nick and his staff really went above and beyond to make use feel welcomed. Things are moving in the right direction with Nick's leadership! This is the place to host your tournaments!

The course is good shape despite the winter. The fairways should recovery nicely by end of March. The layout is unique with many elevation changes and unique holes. Some blind tee shots require accurate tee shot and approach. The greens were in fantastic shape. They have fully stocked clubhouse with also a nice dining area for food and drinks. We will definitely be coming back!

Played a Morning round (1-16-12) and it was very Cold and wet. Fairways are being over saturated with too much water I guess because the fairways are dormant brown. Lots of uphill (approach) shots so using the right stick is curial. On to many fairways (from the tee box) you must either Draw or fade the ball almost perfect to get a clean shot at the green. Greens were almost perfect but that's the only good thing about the Course today. I will go back when the Course is back in tip top shape only because I know I can shoot a much better score than what I shot today. Since I'm one of those players who plays the ball down I like to think that the Course was unfair due to its poor condition. Customer Service was good and the initial greeting at the Course was a plus.
