Always can count on this course to get me out early and first off so I can get around quickly. Course is in about the same condition as it generally is. Greens being the best part of the course, with the fairways having decent areas and areas which need attention. The rough is the same, some areas good, some not so good.

I've played here off and on since moving to California in 1970 and always found the staff to be very helpful. Course is never great, but always playable. I guess because I don't expect a pristine well manicured course, I am not that disappointed when things are less than perect. This is a place that I count on for a quick inexpensive 2 1/2 round of golf and am happy that these type course still exist

Played Chino Creek on 10/2/14 - walked, and a cart-riding player hung back on first tee and requested that we play as a twosome. POP good, finished in 3 hours 20 minutes, even with waiting on several holes on front 9. All areas of course were in decent shape, without any glaring deficiencies, except of course the usual - ball marks on greens not repaired by prior players (though incidence of ball marks less than on Butterfield Stage). Tee boxes generally level, with good turf; fairways pretty good - all of my shots from fairway were from good lush grass (better than those on Butterfield Stage course); greens maybe slightly faster than Butterfield Stage, but just a tad more bumpy (aerated more recently than Butterfield Stage). Due to very windy conditions, some greens had pine needles/leaf litter, but that is just a condition of the wind. Played the white tees, for a different look than usual. As such, seemed that I was playing many short irons for approaches. The only bunker that I had to play from was greenside, and sand was good. My playing partner had to play from a few bunkers, and it appeared his experience was similar. I would recommend this course to anyone who seeks an inexpensive, unpretentious golf experience -value golf with a decent challenge.

Overall rating should be a 2.5 or 3 at best. Played this morning and on check in was told the Chino course was in better shape than Butterfield. Whoa, I would hate to see Butterfield. This course is an absolute disaster. They supposedly did the greens within the last month but they are terrible. Ball marks, dead spots. The fairways are hit and miss with some of them 2" high, fairways should not have grass higher than the rough. The rough around the green is about 5" high and ball disappears. This course definitely not worried about drought conditions as there was standing water everywhere. This used to be one of the nicer courses but has gone downhill fast.

Played Chino Creek at 10:07 Saturday, 8/2 with my dad and my son. Course is in okay shape. The greens are usually great here and I'd say they're quite good right now, but not quite as fast and smooth as usual. Fairways are spotty and so is the rough. Tee boxes were good and the bunkers were noticeably improved since the last time I played here. I always enjoy this layout and I got a great deal on teeoff.com (using a promo code, we only paid $68 for 3 players with cart).

Played Fathers day morning with great pals that I grew up with, good weather made for a very enjoyable day, how can it be bad when you are golfing with guys that you have known since childhood. Course was Prado, if you hit the fairways you have a decent shot, if you miss the fairway, you pay for it with a difficult lie in that stringy grass or thin patch. Greens were in great shape, not too many pitch marks that others failed to fix, some sunflower seeds on the greens ! pet peeve, eat sunflower seeds but dont spit out the seeds on the greens you jagoffs. $45.00 on a Sunday, couldnt beat the price and plenty of time for the Fathers Day BBQ at home in the afternoon with Pops !

Have been playing out here for the past few years and have to say course is in great shape right now. Greens were the best part of this course. They will hold well played shots and roll true. Chino Creek is a fun course to play. Not your typical residential/city course. Customer service is great. Guys in the shop are very accamodating since I didn't have a tee time. Thought the price was very reasonable. $20 bucks to walk. Will definitely be back.

Overall I thought the course was in the best condition I have seen it in for some time. The greens were exceptionally nice. There are always many areas of scuffiness at El Prado, but you can see they are making an effort to improve conditions. The fairways were actually deliniated on many holes and were at times reasonably good. Staff is always great here and getting off first, pace of play not an issue

Haven't seen what the rating came out to but it is about a 5 or less depending on where you usually play. Good practice course though, will go back in a couple of months and see if it improves with seasonal change.
