Sat 4/13 in 3rd group- 3.5hrs walking Course is long from Blue-6,850. Long P4's all day Good P3- all in 175-80 range. 2nd P3 on front nice hole over water. 18 is brutal up hill 420ish Fairways were A+... green, cut, thick. Ball stood up great. Rough was long, thick. Greens were excellent. Overall conditions- best of year even tho they should be. Course itself outside of a few hole mundane, but conditions make it good place to play.

Played Wednesday 2/13 and it is like you are playing 2 different courses. The fairways and greens were really nice and good lies and smooth putts. Then there is the bunkers and rough. Looks like they don't like to cut the rough. Some of it was 7" high and then right next to it would be hardpan. No sand in bunkers so very difficult to get out of. I just wonder why they are the only course around that does not have a senior rate.

Walked sunday at 1 for 13 bucks, tough to beat that price. Fairways were overseeded, very green and lush, a little on the long side but pretty nice. Tee boxes were in pretty good shape. Greens were nice, pretty smooth and medium fast. Rough was bad, very hit and miss, lots of bare spots, definitely had some bad lies here and there. Sand traps didn't have a great look to them, but were actually pretty playable. A pretty basic layout, but definitely a good place to work on your game. Overall a great value, played in about 4.5 hours, would definitely go again.

Stopped on my way home from work yesterday. Played chino creek. I was in the rough the entire day....... the rough was the middle of the fairway!
Tee boxes and fairways were 3 to 4 inches long. I use a long tee and still my golf ball was under the grass! Greens slow, bumpy and looked like a head of broccoli!
Driving range grass was more like 4 to 5 inches thick.

This course doesn't change much. They've identified their niche and do it well. As long as you in or near the fairways and out of the traps, you're going to get decent course for the money. What I really like is that they don't run you through the pricing gauntlet. It's the same reasonable price every day. You don't need to be a certain age, you don't need to have at least two players, you don't need to bring an email, you don't need a coupon book, and you don't need a discount card. I walked on as a single and was teeing off 5 minutes later. Originally, I checked on Golf Now for a tee time, but couldn't find a course that was nearby that would sell to a single. Los Serranos and Eagle Glen have no idea how many times they've lost a sale because of this policy. I always seem to end up at El Prado when I want to play at last minute round of golf.

played 11/3 grass range but in very poor condition. The course was very lush and green. The greens were soft and very receptive, looked like they had been aerated and healed for the most part and rolled true, medium to slow speed. The fairways are a crap shoot never know what kind of lie you will get, drives in the center should not have clumps of grass behind your ball, happened more than twice. Traps were good but were moist sand. Tee boxes were trying to grow new grass but are chewed up. Little more time for growth and should be in fine shape.
Good service at the desk and the beverage cart. Good price. Definitely worth the green fee here. There are two courses here and no housing around the course. The old dairies don't smell as bad as I remember, but then again we were on the creek side course..Weather was perfect for golf. Good time had.

played 11/3 sat at 11:23. playing condition was pretty decent and i'm assuming it's probably a lot to do with the recent maintenance.

it's my first time playing here and i was little concerned when i was greeted with tons of flies near the starter ( i hate flies) b/c i didn't want to battle flies throughout the round but wasn't really an issue once we started playing.

overall, the course is not bad for the price you pay.

This whole course is under repair (fairway hydroseeding and greens recovering) and is not currently alerted! Played on October 19 and was not warned that the fairways have been tilled and it's cart path only. What was worse were the greens. It was posted on GK that the greens were dressed over a month ago. They should be fine by now, but ,noooo-they still have holes from the punches in them, and they are ultra shaggy and very slow (probably a 5) and very unlike the normal speed we usually get on Chino. Adjusting an unfair slow speed and all the bumps on the greens made for an unpleasant experience. The starter should have told us all this, and although it was only $25.00 at twilight, it's probably worth half that until the course heals, let's say in mid-November.
