Arrowwood is definitely a course where playing a few times makes a big difference in how you play. Currently the conditions are set up to play really firm and fast and knowing where roll out is going to happen and how much is HUGE. The overall condition of the course is really good, just expect a lot of roll in the fairways and the ability to bounce the ball around some of the green complex mounding. The greens, even though they were firm and relatively fast, still held beautifully.

I like Arrowwood more and more I play and the people there are always really nice and run a great operation. If you get there early there is a really solid practice area and the small grill has a good looking menu and beer selection.

Pace of play was exactly 4 hours and the whole experience was great. There is a great deal with the GK/Costco coupon here but even at the normal rate I think Arrowwood is definitely worth it. I want to get back out there soon!

Group found a few bunkers and some where very firm to rock hard and others in decent shape. Still a good deal and course is in very good shape overall.

I concur with rudyclub's recent review on course conditions. I would like to add that the Staff was friendly and made you feel welcome. Nice driving range, chipping green and putting green.
Definitely a RECOMMEND!

Fairways were cut tight and had a olive green color. Looked firm & dry, but played much softer then they looked with good roll out. Many of them have collection areas and in those areas there was a lot of divot damage, but over all in pretty good shape
Greens played better then they looked as well. Mostly smooth rolls and a good pace of Medium fast and held shots well. Many of these greens have big tilts to them. Any faster and balls might not stay on greens ?
Most traps in decent shape. Mostly firm, but playable
The cart girls was around a few times. The Costco deal of 2 for $80 is a very good bargain and the course is in all around good shape.

1/24 using their palm card 6 plays $199 POP just under 4 with a real struggle on 16 put us almost a hole behind the rest of the day--started on 10--was followed by mens club so we could not let the 2 some hot on our tail go thru.
Fairways light green not quite dormant tight but good lies and firm for extra roll. Not much rough except for some areas around the greens. Tees in good shape. Bunkers well filled with thick heavy sand--well maintained and groomed--but apparently most of the rakes do not come with instructions or are not of the auto rake variety as there were far too many foot prints.
Greens firm and quick smooth and consistent--receptive for those who can hit high shots with spin--unfortunately I do not qualify.

Played here today at 7:56 using a Costco voucher I received for Christmas. Paid $10 extra to tee off before noon. Employees (especially the starter) were all very friendly and welcoming. Paired with three guys who play the course semi-regularly. Started on time and pace was decent all day. The group in front of us was a little behind but we still finished in just under 4:30. Beautiful morning and quite warm by the fourth hole.

Conditions aren't much to look at right now but the course actually plays quite nice. Greens are smooth, medium to medium-fast speed and accept full shots well. Fairways are dormant grass with good coverage, but extremely tight... almost like hitting off an old, thin driving range mat. The rough was sometimes preferable, providing a little fluff under the ball. It wasn't too penal in most spots and seemed best around the green complexes. Tee boxes were good, although one or two were a bit lumpy. Bunkers were pretty good, no compacted sand but some seemed more dirt-like than sandy.

This was my third time here and I feel like the course grows on me a bit each time I play it. I think the greens are really challenging, tricky to read and difficult to hole putts. The dormant fairways mean you have to be especially careful on downhill sloping fairways. I nearly drove the green on Nos. 1 & 14. On the short par-4 6th, my 3-wood tee shot ran through the fairway and into the hazard some 280+ yards from the tee. And then on the downhill 16th, my drive ran all the way to the end of the fairway, probably 370 yards from the blue tees. Kinda felt like Kapalua on those holes, so that was sorta fun, but also sorta ridiculous. They put up some netting around the 18th green presumably to keep birds off the green... a necessary evil, I guess, but it's not very attractive on an otherwise pretty finisher.

Acceptable divot damage and nice and level. Bunkers were in great shape, nice and soft, a couple of them looked a little wet, but overall just fine. Greens were fast as heck, be careful, but they held shots very well. They are very undulated, so making putts is tough, hardly any straight putts. Customer service as usual is great. Everyone is real friendly. POP was excellent at 4hrs. Always great to get out there, used Costco voucher for $79 for two players, great deal..

12/29 really nice but busy holiday week waiting most of the time but as a 2some it was to be expected--no dawdaling or duffing was noticed and POP came in at about 4 1/2. Fairways on the brown side and thin making for tight lies but still good cushion and some extra roll out. Rough is sparse and going into its dormant state as well. Tees are level and have acceptable cover. Bunkers are mostly good--the yawning pit in #4--about 200 out from the blues and seems to take up half the landing area--is now dry with good sand--a little soft but way more playable. The other six bunkers we found had good depth and were well maintained--except for right upper greenside bunker that was thin and hard at the bottom. Greens were fast and firm--back and front pins tended to be tightly placed and had tricky breaks that were tough--so much for making the course a little easier for the holiday crowd. Staff continues to be friendly and helpful. Used the Palm Card $199 for 6 weekday plays--good deal for a course of this quality. The 6.8 rating came out lower than I expected--more like 7.3 to 7.5

Pace of play was slow due to 2 tournament so I'll give that a pass. There were multiple marshals on top of things.

This course is in fantastic shape right now. The fairways are nicer than most courses greens currently. The fairways are trimmed thin and hard packed for bonus rolls making the course play shorter and more accessible.

Greens were in great shape however no one repaird their ball marks which was odd. I mean no one.

Bunkers were in phenomenal shape. The edges were cut perfect, with excellent even sand and plenty of it.

Tee boxes were level and lush with moderate tee damage.

The layout is a blast. I loved the risk reward drivable par 4's on the front. The back nine is the real treat here. I would say this course has arguably the best stretch of finishing holes in San Diego in competition with Balboa, Coronado, La Costa, and Torrey.

The island green par 16th is a special hole, capable with competing with holes anywhere.

The only downside was the staff was a little rude when we used our free replay. I love the layout. The fairways are wide but there is no rough. Your ball is either on the fairway or OB. This course places a great emphasis on approach shots vs driving ability. Which I prefer. Lots of fun bunker protected elevated greens.

Only thing they need to fix are the distances on the par 3's. Literally and I mean literally every par 3 is the same exact hole. An elevated par 3 170 yards. I hit a 6 iron into every par 3 with the same shot every time. That was a little tedious. However this is a special course I will add to my rotation. The final four finishing holes and forced water carry on 18 are awesome holes.
