Got out at 656am this morning with fellow gk'er mmosqueda. This course is a little off the beaten path for people in orange county, about 80 miles, but it is definitely a course you want to play at least once. POP was about 3hr 30mins but could have been faster if the marshal would have swung by before the 16th hole. Two ground were holding us up as a 2 some but we took our time as we were not getting pressed from behind. Tee Boxes- were great very lush ample place to tee up and very few divot issues. All where very flat as well Fairways- good coverage and mostly green, this course being in Valley center is like most course they water as much as they can but not as much as they want so some areas were a little brown but no major issues. Rough- the rough was a mixed bag. there is not a lot of rough because the fairways are pretty wide and then lined with bushes and tree's so maybe no more than 10 ft of rough on each side of the course. Greens- green were wet in the morning left over from the fog that had cleared at 615am and by the time we were done were lightning fast. They were very soft and received all shots. One down side is foot prints stayed a little longer than you would like but it was not much of an issue unless you go past the hole with you putt. Sand- I was in my fair share of bunkers today and I was not happy at all with the quality of the sand. in the morning they were wet and that was not the issue its just not good sand wet or dry and very hard to get under any shot i think i hit the lip of the bunker at least 5 times which was very frustrating. Also people did not rake the bunker and I know it had to been from the previous day so shame on the course for not checking each morning or evening In all I always love playing this course even though the back nine did me wrong with bunker quality I still had fun and recommend playing this course.

Met up with Rat-Patrol this morning for our GK Cup match. We had a 6:08 tee time and were using the UnderPar voucher that included a free replay ($59 for two players). We opted not to use the replay unless playoff holes were needed in our match, but it was still a good deal for a single round on a Sunday morning. We went off second behind another twosome, but never pushed them at all. We had another twosome behind us that was pushing a little, so we ultimately let them through at the turn and enjoyed our own 3-hour pace. The course is in pretty good overall shape. A little rough around the edges, but good where it counts. Tee boxes were nice. Fairways were generally nice to hit from. Rough was not much of a factor. Where there was grass, it was dry and cut low. Things get a little more bare the further you stray from the fairways. I was only in one bunker. It had really good soft sand, but it was a little lumpy and poorly maintained, so it just needs a good raking. The greens were soft and rolling pretty well at medium speeds, picking up in speed a little as our round went on and the surfaces dried out. Most greens were in pretty good shape. A few of the shorter holes were a little beat up with a lot of wedge and short iron shots coming in and not a lot of people fixing up after themselves. I always enjoy this course. It's a solid layout with a good mix of holes. The back nine is more interesting than the front and there's just enough challenge to keep you entertained. Good deals are easily found, so I'm sure it's one I'll return to again

6/13 from the blues 6315 70.5/127 using underpar $59 2some voucher on a cool overcast am becoming sunny and comfortable by the 12th hole--POP about 120 front and 2hrs back. Tees lush and level par 3s a little chewed up but boxes are big and location gets rotation. Bunkers have fine well packed sand very consistent and playable. Rough is present along fairways 1-2 inches and would definitely impede forward progress but playable to advance the ball or make decent contact to get to the green. Rough around the greens is often long and juicy tough to judge and hard to play out of--could grab and be chunky or if caught crisp takes off. Fairways full well covered with really good lies and good cushion. Greens were recently{maybe as early as this am} needle punched--some around the perimeter and about half completely--did not really cause problems with putts rolled well medium fast--but looked bad. Also no info about the work was forth coming, in fact other golfers we talked to told us that nothing was said even when they asked about courses conditions before hand. After the round the desk staff said it was initiated due to forecast of very hot temps coming quickly this week and implied that it was the greens superintendents call to do what was best for the course. As I said, dont think it really caused problems and we would have played anyway after driving 1hr but I prefer for courses to be straight up with all info that could affect play. Ideally we would have been told and offered a rain check if after the 1st hole we did not want to continue. Would have left us with a better impression of being more golfer oriented. The starter was quick to get us out early and was very friendly. Even with the greens issue worth the $30. Scenic fun layout

With high expectations we went to this course. Upon arrival, we were surprised. The clubhouse is a temporary facility (trailers?). The practice area was great, hitting off of grass is always the best, distance markers were plentiful. The staff was awesome, and got us out early. The front nine are beautiful and well maintained. The back nine were a disappointment. We expected a Temecula Creek Inn or perhaps a Redhawk quality course as this is a JC Golf course. The fairways were green but had three or four types of grass. The greens were in very good shape along with the tee boxes. No drink cart or Marshall seen during the round. It was worth the $27 dollars, but not the 1.5 hour drive.

Friday 2/26/2016 Excellent course shape. Greens pretty good. Flatter greens are bumpy. Greens don't have nearly as much break (except # 11) as you think they do...no, really. Great sand. Good day. Some tee box back up until about 2PM Don't make the mistake I made. "Pin Placement" diagrams on the scorecard have nothing to do with reality. Trust your sight. Took me six holes before I realized this.... I had good fairway lies (50% FIR) all day.

Best way to describe the course would be "typical winter conditions". Thin dormant fairways, lots of roll and just enough coverage to allow good contact - some areas showing patchy growth that occasionally made it more difficult if the ball settled down between them.

Greens had some patches and a few bare areas but rolled well - started out fairly fast (faster than they looked) but slowed down a little as the day went on. Handful of tough pin placements, a couple were only 5-6 feet from the fringe. Given the contours of these greens and where you are for your approach, this course could play much easier or a lot harder depending on how nasty the greenskeeper feels that morning!

Sand was decent in most bunkers but there were places where the sand was a very thin layer over the bunker lining (not good). Tee boxes varied, some nice and level, others not so much, coverage was ok with some showing heavy wear.

POP was good for a weekend, just over 4.5 hours, would have been slightly less if we'd spent less time waiting for other groups on neighboring fairways (or vice versa). Customer service was very good, saw the beverage cart about 3 times - Mary the starter was especially pleasant and helpful.

Given the pricing with the coupon this was definitely worth the cost - when conditions improve towards Spring/Summer I'll definitely be back even if I have to pay more.

Course is in playable condition, not pretty with some turf patches on many greens (holes cut away from said areas), sand traps a bit inconsistent but have sand, rough minimal, fairways good to play from (a bit firm and running, but good to play from. Greens were in very good shape besides the patched areas, tracking well with medium speed. I always enjoy the layout with some easier holes and some more challenging holes . . . some dependent on hole placement, there is plenty of trouble lurking. Thanks to HmtGolfGuy/Ron for inviting me to play on his Underpar voucher!

Got on first twilight time noon for $27 as a twosome. Started the round though 15 minutes behind. Pace was slow waiting on every hole, so we ended up just pairing up with the twosome behind us at hole 4. On the turn we bypassed the slow group in front of us on 10, and played the hole at the end of the round and at the point, we moved along nicely.

Course was pretty disappointing. Fairways were painted green with lots of bare and thin spots, which local twosome we played with said was because of water issues the course has been having. Tee boxes was uneven and a few had so much sand on them that it was like hitting out of a sand trap. Front 9 was standard layout and overall in worse condition. Back 9 was much more enjoyable with some nice holes around water and in overall better condition. Course is easy and gives you lots of chances to score, but was overall an average experience.

Played 1-22-16 with Nickesquire all day on an underpar deal. Tee boxes were a little thin but mostly level. Fairways were thin with a mix of different grass and a few bare spots. Rough was very short and not a factor. Sandtraps were a little thin but still descent to hit from. Greens were in ok shape, with a little inconsistency in speed and a few that had some re-sodded areas. Overall nice course with a good layout in average shape.
