Beautiful course. Golf course was in excellent condition. Greens were very true and quick. Fairways were lush. My only complaint about anything here was the pin location on four holes that were located on the slope instead of just above it or below it. On one occasion resulted in a putt from below the hole being missed but rolling back in from above. Otherwise very good experience.

Played yesterday and always Course is in Great Shape. As far as the staff goes’ Stacy, Angie, Garret and Marcus are the best around.
Playing there again this weekend and looking forward to it.

What a treat and a major test at the same time! If you think you are on your game just come on out and give La P a run. Played last week, 10/1/07, and as usual it was in great condition! The greens are rolling just great and the fairways look wonderful. The wood wall project on #3 is finished and is a vast visual improvement. Stacy and Marcus took great care of the group I brought. Worth every penny!

We played this course on Wednesday, 10-10 on our first annual golf and wine trip to central California. We also played Monarch Dunes, Hunter Ranch, and Cypress Ridge (see those reviews). We all agreed that we liked La Purisima the best of all the courses we played. Challenging layout, beautifully conditioned with hardly any ballmarks--it was like nobody played the course. No houses on the course, beautiful scenery, and very little road noise made this the perfect course to end the trip.

Second time at La Purisima and got some wind to make a difficult course more difficult. It helps to have some knowledge of the course though. Yes, it's in fine condition and the green fees are more than fair. Worth the drive if you and some buddies want to make a day of it. Not every hole is as unforgiving as some postings mention, but it's true that you need to be straight on most shots or trouble awaits.
