Played Creekside/Ridgeline on Tuesday morning early 9/20. The course is in immaculate condition. Tee boxes and fairways are lush, with good lies in the fairway. Didn't visit any bunkers, but the sand was nice. The greens are in fantastic condition, rolling very true. However, they are too slow for me. This is one of the best conditioned public courses in all of Southern California.

I drove all the way from Phoenix AZ to participate in the GK event and I was not disappointed!!! Walking up to the course is a sight in of itself, with the huge GREEN range with the club logo at the top of the hill.

We played Canyon and Ridgeline adn both were immaculate. The course is challenging but fair. Elevated tee boxes on every hole with fairways that require control. If you miss the fairways scoring will be high. The greens were soft and definitely true. The greenside bunkers are very, very soft, while the fairway bunkers were pretty firm.

I strongly recommend this course and will definitely play again!!!

Played 7/27 in GK tournament. Just an all-round great day out. Johnny GK's organization was spot-on and Moorpark CC provided the perfect venue. You get the full country-club experience at Moorpark - the golf shop, the practice facilities, the clubhouse, the bar and grill - all top notch. And the golf course is pristine. Can't wait to do it again.

I don't think I can ask for better conditions from a course really. Now that I look back on the round, I don't have any complaints from tee to green, course is in great shape. My only negative is on Ridgeline with the layout and some deceiving tricks that only local knowledge can help, such as areas where you can't see whats at the bottom of a slope or where the apparent right shot from a tee ends up OB. I guess I just need to get out there more often. Great place for the course, nice and quiet, had great temps in late July. Classy looking place from the drive in to the horse silouettes on the range. Greens were challenging, but the style I like. Greens holds balls pretty well, can be soft in many areas. Bunkers were perfect: hard packed fairway bunkers and very soft greenside. I had an almost completely hidden ball in one of them, barely 1/2" showing, super soft sand. Rough was great, and consistent. Spent much time there and was able to get a driver on the ball well from the rough multiple times. Cart girl showed up very often. Although this place is far away, it is always a favorite, and am sure I will be back for a future GK event here.

Fantastic golf experience... As others have already said, the course is in great shape from tee to green. Probably the best conditioned course i'v played all year. The staff was great, everything you need or want was there without ever even noticing them. That is a sign of a well run operation. The restaurant staff was fantastic, fast, courteous, accurate and great personalities. They went of their way to make you feel welcome. This is a golf course that may be a little high on the price but the golf course, practice facilities and the overall experience make them well worth what they charge. I will be back and i can only hope that other high end facilities stand up and take notice at what it means to be a high end course. Thank you Moorpark CC.

Wow, what a treat. Moorpark Country Club just had its club championship 3 days before our outing so the course was immaculate. Furthermore they had the course marked defining all hazards with spray paint. I felt the greens rolled true and consistent plus held shots beautifully. There are a lot of subtle breaks that flow with the topography so it’s easy to misjudge the speed. It was great to play pure bent grass greens with a nice pace instead of all the poa this time of year found on many courses. The fairways were lush and firm. The rough was short but thick. The sand traps were fluffy white sand and well kept. The tee boxes were well groomed, level and lush. Our pace of play for our event was 4 and ½ hours – that’s almost unheard of. The service was terrific in every aspect.

From an group organizer perspective, this was our second outing at the course and the Tournament Director, his support staff and everyone on hand was professional, organized and very catering to all of our needs. The clubhouse and practice facilities are exceptional. This is one of my favorite places to have events.

Very challenging but fun course. Lots of elevation variety. Similar in feel to Hidden Valley with ravines to avoid and or carry. Lots of variation in the layout and a very creative design. A couple blind tee shots where course knowledge would help. The best bunkers I've played in a long while. A couple of greens were marked up but still very playable. The only negative I experienced was the speed of the greens. The practice green was quite fast but on the course they went from moderate on one hole and fast the next and back again. There didn't seem to be any consistency. Minor but sometimes frustrating.

Played today in the GK event and WOW what a day! First thanks to Johnny for another first class event.
The day started with top notch customer service. Free range balls and a really nice practice area. Grass range-nice chipping area and large putting green.The course was beautiful.All of the tee boxes were great. The fairways were lush and green all the way around. The greens ( bent grass) were fast and consistent.Very few pitch marks. the bunkers had great sand, nice and soft(I speak from experience)plenty of sand. I also saw a large pile of sand in the practice area waiting to go out to the course. The management at this course really does things right. I wish this was not so far from home. I could see playing here a lot.
The best part of the day were the people! The GK group is a blast. If you have not been to one of the outings you are really missing something special.

Played Canyon Crest/Ridgeline on Thursday 7/14 with Rob1563, JohnnyGK and his brother in law. What a great golf club with challenging courses for a less than consistent hitter.

Ate lunch at the clubhouse before golfing and was certainly not disappointed by the quality of the burger and onion rings.

The staff was friendly, especially the starter. He made sure we knew what 9's we were playing and even had a couple of laughs with us.

I really enjoyed the course as it was challenging yet fun. Great views! A pretty diverse number of holes. Never really felt much pressure over the pace of play. Would definitely play this course again!
