Played on Friday 7/10 with Rob and Matt. This was the second round of the day and didn’t tee until 2pm. Wow was it HOT!!

Bag drop was open and clubs were placed right on what I think are brand new carts. Very plush seats, GPS, and Bluetooth JBL speakers. Don’t use the screen/GPS to connect, use your device to connect directly to the speakers.

Playing this late, there was hardly anyone else on the course so we were able to play pretty quickly. Finished in just under 3 and a half.

Course is in great shape. All grass was lush and green and the rough was difficult, for me, to get out of since it’s a little thick. Can’t beat the views of the LV Strip and even the new Raider stadium. Fun place to play.

Joined up with Rob and John for our second round of the day and boy it was a blazer 115° on the first tee at 2pm. I pulled up late but the staff helped me with my bag and let us go whenever because there wasn't anyone waiting. For being extremely hot the last 2 months the course conditions haven't been better. I was amazed on how nice the grass was from tee to green. Everything was just lush as can be. Greens medium fast and a touch on the firmer side but still held most shots. Rough as mentioned by Rob was longer than usual and would stop most shots from rolling through it made accuracy that much more important. If I could nit pick anything at all it would be that there is not cart girl and your only options for beverages are at the turn. I was dying of thirst after drinking my two waters on the from and I couldve used a nice tasty beverage. I wont knock the course though with the covid restrictions and late in the day it was fine.

I reccomend playing here right now especially because its in great shape. Side note I stayed at the wynn and their golf course didnt look as lush and they charge $500 so its a easy choice to play Bali Hai.

Played on Friday 6/10 with Matt and John for an impromptu GK Guru round. Service has not been affected by the Covid conditions. I don't think Valet is open, but bag drop is with attendants ready with carts. There's an outside snack shack and a separate bar with outside shaded seating. Grab drinks prior to heading out then you swing back at the turn. Conditions were excellent. Fairways were lush and carpet like, with no thin/brown areas to be found. Rough is way up and the ball will sit down, just have to chop it out of a few areas. Bunkers were pretty good, easy to hit out of the green side and a bit firm in the fairways. Greens were in great shape. A bit firm, but smooth, some had some sand topping which didn't affect speed. Course has new carts which has the most comfortable seats I've sat in on a course. Also added a new GPS screen, with yardage to that day's hole position, and separate bluetooth speakers (don't connect to the GPS, you connect directly to the speakers). Overall a fun course to play. 5 par 3s, a couple of drivable par 4s, and some long par 4s thrown in. Only course on the Strip with some cool views and aim points (just aim for the pyramid).

Kicked off the Vegas trip with a round at Bali Hai. This is definitely a first class course with valet parking and club attendant. Locker room is nice as is the overall facility (clubhouse, restaurant, outdoor kitchen). The driving net area was closed so I didn't get a chance to warm up with any full swings which I was in desperate need of. I took a forecaddie (Dan) and he was super. quite possibly a top 3 caddy I've ever had. The fact that I only lost 2 balls all day with how bad I played on the front nine is an attest to how good he was in spotting shots. He was also dead on in reading putts every time.

Course layout is both challenging and scenic. With numerous views of the strip (and the new Raiders stadium being built) you are constantly reminded that you are in the heart of Vegas.

There are some slight elevation changes throughout the track to keep it from being flat and boring. A number of water hazards also add to the beauty of the course.

They are currently doing a ton of maintenance to prep the course for the upcoming fall "prime season". As others mentioned before half the tee boxes are closed so some are moved up or back. Not a big deal really. They are also doing a lot of work on the bunkers. Some are GUR and are free relief. Others are hit and miss on quality depending on if you're in one that has been worked on already.

No issues whatsoever with the tee boxes. Level, lush, divot free and dark green. Fairways, are lush and a joy to hit from but there are a number of areas that are light brown in color.

Same with the greens. Not the darkest green in color but rolled smooth all day long and were void of pitch marks. The greens did roll slower than I expected. They were at a medium slow pace. Speaking of Pace, POP was ok. Probably made more manageable by my abismal play on the front nine that had us doing a lot of search and rescue missions looking for my ball.

Even with my 9 stroke difference between the front and back, I still quite enjoyed Bali Hai. It's situated right between the airport and the strip so it makes it a super convenient track for first arriving or just before leaving as well as "just down the road" if staying on the strip.

Played here for my first time on Monday, 8/5. I had a $99 GolfMoose voucher good for a round + replay and booked the first time of the day (6:00 a.m.) one month ahead of time. I was paired with a twosome from England and a guy who works at Bali Hai and was enjoying his day off. After a few holes, the twosome asked us to go ahead alone, as we were playing a bit fast for their liking. We finished in under three hours and then my playing partner helped coordinate with his buddy the starter to get me back out for the second round right away. Pace was slower and it was hotter, so I only stuck around for 12 holes on that second round. Course conditions are fantastic for August! The greens are smooth, medium-fast, and accepted full shots very well. I did notice a few more imperfections in the second round, but early they were excellent. Fairways were also really great, providing good lies all day. The rough was just a tad below the quality of the fairways with slight browning in spots, but generally very good. Tee boxes were good all day; I seem to recall thinking one was a bit bumpy underfoot. (Certain tee boxes seem to be getting re-seeded and are pure dirt right now, but they are all closed. Some tees were moved back as a result; others moved up.) The beautiful white sand bunkers were the only slight negative. The first few I was in were really good, but the further into the course I got, the more compacted they seemed to become. A full crew of workers was out on one of the holes (15, I want to say) working on the bunkers, so perhaps they're in the midst of renovating them. Playing with views of Mandalay Bay and Luxor is pretty cool. Conversely, playing with views of Jack in the Box, the freeway and billboards is sort of a bummer. If you're into aviation or easily bothered, planes will be flying at low altitude over you all throughout your round. I think Schmidt-Curley did a great job of routing the course to not feel too jammed in to its footprint, though. Holes seem to play in all different directions and avoid the back and forth I expected for some reason. It's a fun course and also tough. Definitely recommended in its current condition!

I played the Bali Hai golf course on Friday June 28th with fellow GK members Matt, Rob, and John. The course is in great shape with lush green fairways and beautiful greens. The rough is just starting to show some summer color and is in fine shape. The greens showed very little evidence of play (ball marks etc). They played a little slower than I expected but were still smooth. The tee boxes were level with great coverage. The tight cut fairways were near perfect. I found several sand traps and they were mostly soft and fully covered in beautiful white sand. The staff was friendly and attentive making the day one to remember. I look forward to playing here again and will make it a regular stop while in Vegas.

Joined Rob, John and my Father on 6/28 for a fun round out at Bali Hai. Having played here a few times before I knew what I was getting into when we got to the course. The staff is super friendly from the moment you arrive. Check-in was simple and our bags were on carts by the time we left the pro shop. Every thing about this course has a laid back vibe, from the Tiki decor and the country and island music playing by the snack shake to the crush shell mounds separating the holes.

As for course conditions I thought it was better than expected for end of June. The tee's were goods and had great coverage with the exception of two or three that needed to be moved. Fairways lush and mostly green providing great roll and fluffy enough lies to hit your approach shots. Rough was good and wasn't overly penal. Greens were medium/fast and held most well well hit shots. The one thing to note is the greens here are tough and the pin locations were tough all day. It is always best to shoot for middle of the green here as there are many false edges.

Overall this course is a blast to play even with the planes constantly flying over it is still worth it IMO. I recommend you go out and play.

This is the first time I have played this course. Lucky to get out there with Rob, Matt, and David on Friday 6/28.

What a fun course. I liked the white sand along the water, sort of tropical feel, and great playing conditions. It never felt like holes were repeated, each was different. Tee boxes were level, fairways cut nicely (more roll once we got to the back nine, wet conditions on the front), and the greens were practically blemish free. Greens were consistent, interesting, and challenging without being overly difficult.

The course is right next to the airport and there were planes taking off at least every 5 minutes. I thought it might be annoying, but it was actually the opposite. I found myself watching the planes rise over the fairways and greens, and thinking maybe one of us could hit one off the tee. Not a chance.

Customer service was great. There when needed, but not over the top. Typically I like to hit the range before playing, but as the course only had nets, I passed. Didn’t really miss the warmup that much. Breakfast burrito was delicious and enough for two people.

One and only negative was the few sand traps I found myself in. One fairway trap was semi fluffy, one hard and dense, another green side bunker was hard sort of wet.

All in all, really good course.

Played on Friday, 6/28, with John, David, and Matt for an awesome GK Guru round. Teed off at 6:40 and finished right at 4 hours, while waiting on a number of shots on the back. Customer service was what you would expect from a Vegas resort course. Bag drop with free valet (if you want to use it). Bags were set up on higher end carts with GPS to the day's hole position. Nice Tiki style outdoor grill area, complete with couches, along with a huge breakfast burrito. Prices were consistent with most area courses. Course was in great condition. There was a maintenance alert for aeration about 10 days ago, but outside of the 1st hole (top dressing and looked like a small hole punch), there were no signs of it. Greens were in awesome shape, smooth, and a nice almost fast pace. Only difficulty was the breaks, my guess is the natural pull is towards the airport. Tee boxes were in good condition. Rough had some spots of aeration, and varied from "not too bad" to heavy and thick. Fairways were pretty lush, only thin/brown areas were around the edges of the elevation run-offs. The only downside was the course was still very wet early in the morning. This affected the bunkers, with wet and clumpy sand. Such a fun course to play, with a variety of short and long holes. The 5 par 3s, 3 over water, are all good holes. The current $69 resident rate, including a $15 credit for lunch in Cili, is an incredible price for this course. Yes, there's a steady line of airplanes taking off, but the course did a good job of blocking out the street and highway views. There's some awesome Strip views down the fairways. **NOTE**: rating came out to a 7.6, but should be a 8.0. I was a little hard on the bunkers.
