Played this AM. Course was vacant as most must have thought it would rain. We did 18 in 2.5 H and another 9 in 1H. Course was not even affected by the rain. It soaked it up like you would think it never rained yesterday. Tee boxes fine. Fairways good lies and great roll out. Rough was still damp but playable. Bunkers were all clean and no issues. Greens were mowed in front of us and chipped and putted great all round (five birdies for the first time ever). Love the new carts and Pace GPS system they just put into play. Great customer service from Patrick in the shop and Tomi in the restaurant.

Played today as first off. POP 3 H. Have not played here in perhaps 2 years after a bad experience. That was not the case today. Excellent customer service on check in and $35 Sr rate. Course is in really nice shape. All good tee boxes. Good coverage, lies and roll out on the fairways. Greens were outstanding and fast. Only negative was the traps had not been raked or attended to. As many know this course is really different from what most of us are use to. But a little local knowledge and thinking can really make playing here enjoyable. If you score well on the front you can play conservative on the back and still have a good round (which I did). The one negative I really faced today was some of the holes I use to reach in regulation are not reachable that way anymore (LOL) due to the elevation changes on the back 9. Oh well thats life and at least I am still playing and that beats the alternative. If you are able to get a tee time I recommend playing here. And the food in the clubhouse restaurant upstairs was reasonable in price and service was excellent.

Played this AM. Cool to start but warmed up nicely. They have the course in good shape after aeration. Tee boxes are all playable. Traps are all playable. Fairways have good coverage but you need precision as the grass is shorter vs being lush so hybrids are excellent tools to have with you. Greens have all returned in nice shape and will hold shots, release shots and chip/putt with about a speed of 10 and much quicker on downhillers. They have kept the rough to a minimum the closer you are to the greens and farther out a little higher but you are still able to find the ball and advance. And for those who have never played here there are various OB, small canyons and water to avoid as well. Customer service was OK but pro shop was late in opening and that did cause some back up checking in. Took the Sr rate + $6 breakfast voucher and the bill for 3 of us after vouchers were cleared came to $6 (coffees) and each of us ordered the same $14 breakfast dish.

Played this AM. Course is in relatively good shape. Especially the greens. No issue with any tee boxes. Fairways have good but not great coverage but do provide decent lies and plenty of roll out. But they are not lush like some courses and you will find some GUR areas at present. Rough is penal in all areas you encounter. Sand traps are the issue here presently. IMO they just do not have enough sand in them to get properly under the ball. And some of are muddy and in need of work. Greens were just great. I think I only fixed two ball marks other than my own. They are firm so you need a high shot to hold and it will release. And they are about 10 in speed. Gina in the pro shop is a pleasure to deal with and the cart guys and marshal are great as well. $54 for rate with cart is quite good given the prices around S CA.

Played this AM. Love DST this time of year. Off at 5:45 and done in 2.5 hours. Course is in very nice shape at the moment. Especially the greens. Tee boxes are all reseeded and came out nice. Fairways have good coverage lies and roll out. Traps (most of them) are actually playable for a change. Very little rough to contend with and what there is is playable from. Greens are very nice and we did fix a few divots but they chip/putt great and hold well hit shots. Great customer service in the shop from Dillon and Julia. And from Rich who handles the cart barn.

Played early AM today and though cool at start warmed up nicely. Greens are not totally healed from aeration of 22-24. Most of them showed the punching and the putting was average to OK on all holes. Tee boxes are all good at present and traps were all playable. Fairways had good coverage lies and roll out. Good customer serervice from Patrick as usual. The new carts and GPS are really nice.

In the area yesterday afternoon. Took a chance to play and got right out. Good customer service in the shop. Tee boxes are good but could use leveling on some and move the markers please. Fairways good coverage on all with good lies and good roll out. Bunkers all playable but not raked really well late in the day. Greens all looked great but putted SLOW and never changed all round. They released shots very well otherwise. They could use a marshal in the PM. Many slow players and I was lucky to play in under five hours. I think it could have been worse but we continually spoke to the group in front of us to stay up with the group in front of them and they did. Recommended but I hope the greens are a little faster for those who play.

Played this AM. All tee boxes are now open and the tee boxes are great. Greens are in really really nice shape. Fairways dry and giving good roll and lies. Absolutely no issues from anyone, other than their golf game (LOL). Great customer service as usual. Recommended.

Played this AM. Tee boxes were set on the Black and the Red this morning. Still letting some of the tees grow in. By playing the black tees (yes they have them) you get a different feel for the course. Nice for a change. All boxes look great. Fairways lush and rolling. Rough down to 1/2 " and traps all playable. Greens are in the best shape (IMO) I have ever seen them. Hold nice high shots with some release. Go in to low and they will send your ball in all directions. But they chip and putt really nice with good speed at about 10. Great customer service from Dillon and Julia as well as Rich in the cart barn.

Played this AM in great weather. POP 3 H. Course has new carts and they were installing the GPS systems this morning. As we teed off early we did not have access to the GPS but used our range finders. Those that did use the GPS said it was excellent. We will find out the next time we play. Course is in great shape. Tee boxes all fine. Fairways were clean and provided good lies and roll out all round. Traps were all clean and playable. Very little rough to deal with but there are enough water holes, small culverts/valleys and OB to contend with that will and can make your round a nightmare. Greens were in some of the best conditions I have seen them. They were all mowed, held shots, released shots, chipped/putted with about speed of about 10 and totally devoid of divots, other than the ones we made which we repaired. Customer service was a tad slow this AM which is unusual for this course IMO. Good day of golf on a well conditioned course.

Before leaving SD today, I read the reviews and noticed that Weber and Sparky14 had reviewed it. So I took the chance to stop on the way home and see if I could walk on. Got on within 30 minutes of arrival. Unlike Weber and perhaps Sparky14 I took a cart. But that did not spoil the round of golf. Their reviews are excellent and w/o their reviews I might have just passed by. I have always enjoyed playing this course and sorry that it is now so far away. Course is exactly as they described and with the beautiful weather the scenery added in as well. Very nice course with excellent service and conditions. Recommended.

Out today but course is not back to full size. Greens have healed nicely but all tee boxes are still closed and tees moved way up. Basically 18 hole par 3 course at the moment. Tee boxes will not reopen until Sunday the 25th.
