This troon managed course is excellent. Everything is in great shape. The tee boxes are level, fairways are beautiful and greens are rolling true. We saw 4 other groups on the course today and still saw the beverage cart every 3 holes. That's impressive looping. This course never disappoints. It's hard to write anything new because it's so consistently good every time out. Highly recommend.

if there's a golf heaven, cordevalle is where you check in. This resort does everything to perfection. Today's review is also a compliment to the ncga that put on a superb event. The course is open to the public if you stay at the resort or hook up with an event like today. The staff (resort and ncga) go out of their way to make your experience memorable. They delivered. Course conditions are immaculate tee to green. The course layout naturally follows what nature has provided. No surprise this course hosted the PGA tour. Perfect combination of challenge, design, experience and day. The ncga al so provided fore caddies and ours was really great. Knew his stuff, kept it light, and really assisted our game. I sure hope to get back here one day. Instant top 10 for me in California.

Another good course in the Monterey area. I wasn't sure as the road holes don't look so interesting. And they're not....but it definitely gets better. Lots of elevation changes, nice looks and a somewhat peaceful experience when you get away from the frontage road which is highway 68. Hole 9 is a real challenge uphill into an afternoon wind. The course is in good condition though I would look for a special as the rack rate is fair but still a little pricey. With all the great golf in this area it's hard to recommend it, but I would as a warmup to some stellar courses in the area.

it's good to see the course in such fine shape. Some problem areas off the fairways, and a few roped areas inside but they're working at it. Must have been at least six or more greenskeepers busy at work, or a couple very fast working guys! They were courteous and stopped working every time I set up, which seemed like every hole. Greens are great and speed is consistent. However, there was no marshal and we had a very slow round. By hole 12 we were waiting on every shot. The round was 5:20 and we could see the slow foursome. People, keep the ball searching to a minimum at this course and keep up.

Very nice course. The starter mentioned they have their own well, which accounts for the very green conditions. The greens are excellent! They roll very true, which takes a little getting used to - but a great problem to solve. This was my first time at the course. A few holes are very similar to the Olympic club lake course which is a sweet compliment. The 16th hole being the one that comes to mind most. This is a very nice track that I'm surprised I didn't discover earlier. Pace of play was 4:15, so whole experience was good. It's the only Peter Jacobsen course I've played....so am curious now.

Played with a friend on a groupon $32 rate. Good value for this course. I really thought the layout was good, with a nice mix of doglegs left and right and some good par 3's. A couple of quirky holes that are almost lay-up off the tee box, but many good holes. Conditioning was really pretty good considering the time of year and general heat. Pace of play was a little slow on the back 9 but I would go back again.

The course is in fantastic shape. Weekday deals on golfnow are a great value compared to other courses in the area. Always priced a little higher than most, but well worth the extra $$ if you appreciate a really great course and experience. The local danville/San Ramon Costco sells gift cards that are $149 for $200 of golf. The 25% savings is good when combined with golfnow and plenty left for great wine after or money toward the next round. You'll definitely want to go back!!

The course is in great shape,as always. One of the best courses in the Bay Area all-around. Troon managed, so always country club good experience. Highly recommend.

The course looks good after the heavy rains with just a few downed tree branches. The greens were in remarkably good shape and very fast today. I've played here many times but admit I was fooled by the speed today. Nice job greenskeeper! Really excellent. Fairways and tee boxes looking much improved.

The greens are showing signs of recovery but all putts still wiggle and bump their way to the hole. Nevertheless, it's still an enjoyable place to play and always highly recommended. The fairways and rough have been a little spotty over the last year, but are showing improvement lately. Just need a little work on some tee boxes now.

Played on a GK Birthday coupon with my Dad. That's one of the great reasons to keep coming to this site; great discounts, "know before you go" conditioning reports, and great golfer reviews. Thanks Johnny!

It's hard to knock Maderas and there's no reason to. It's great in every way. The service is top notch, along with the course design and conditioning. It was my Dad's Bday and everyone knew it from the valet at the bag drop, to the front desk, and the "Range Ambassador" - which he really was. That guy offered course advice, knew all about Troon managed courses, helped my Dad with his clubs in / out of cart, and even produced a band-aid when he needed one. That's before we ever got to the first tee. It just got better. The course is looking really good and the weather was perfect. Greens ran true....too true. I got really lucky and drained back-to-back birdie putts of 42' and 90'. Yeah, lucky is an understatement. It was once in a lifetime. So, head to Maderas for your own one-in-a-lifetime - it won't disappoint. Lastly, pace of play is excellent as it's a shoulder season out there before the snowbirds come to SD. 4:30 is the goal with Troon and it happened. Take advantage....just saying.

The upside is $30 with cart and a 3 hour round. Downside is spotty conditions and maybe the worst hot dog I've ever had at the turn. Yuck. It's an Ok course if you live here, but pretty far out for everyone else. Pone very odd thing....some residents just "appear" and watch your tee shot, and then disappear just as quick. Seems like they've probably had too many broken window "hit and runs". They're
watching out for one another. It's trilogy so houses line the fairways everyone.
