Things are changing here. The fairways are in better condition right now than any time in years. Greens bumpy. Rough mowed and pretty good. The greenside fringe is having some sort of maintenence on-going and is a disaster right now. Overall much better than typical Camarillo Springs conditions. The fairways were a really pleasent surprise.

If you haven't tried Rustic Canyon yet, do so. A very unique layout and an enjoyable day. But if it is windy, pick another day. The course is in exceptional condition right now.

Probably the best conditions we have played in years. The greens look like artificial turf, grass cannot be that perfect. If only the Glen Annie grounds crew could work their magic at more of the Ventura County courses......but alas

First time but will not be the last. A very short, average layout. An almost "executive" feel to this course. But the views on the back nine are a close second to Pebble Beach and much better than either Spanish Bay or Spyglass. Both those courses are also 5+ times the fee here. For that reason alone, it is well worth the trip. Course conditions are only average for any muni at best.

Typical condition right now. One exception is the greens which are a little quicker, a little smoother and more consistent than they typically are.

Course in exceptional condition right now. Why is mgmt letting a once pristene clubhouse facility get so run down? Understanding the economics, no buisness, no reinvestment, but when your competition down the street (Ojai Valley Inn) is priced at three or four times your rates for a somewhat better course, isn't there some margin there? Hopefully things will turn around.

Near perfect conditions at a near perfect facility and layout(s). If you have not tried MPCC before, our preferred nines in order are: Canyon, Creek and if forced to, Ridge is okay, but a distant third to the other two nines.

This course and staff seem to take course condition and maintenence very seriously. This is one of the more consistently good to very good condition courses around. While certainly not perfect, not Moorpark CC, a very fair course, in very good condition at a somewhat reasonable price...

Anytime you want to be humbled, try a round here. Really feeling masochistic? Play in the afternoon wind. Don't get me wrong, course conditions are near perfect, but this course is by far one of the toughest I have ever seen. Every single shot will test you. There are almost no bailout opportunities, either hit it straight or take it home.

Our periodic visit was a pleasent surprise today. It appears as though some of the long standing issues this course has faced over the years are being addressed. Many of the historically thin turf areas are showing new sod. I hope the turnaround continues and the momentum builds.
The springs is showing some life and might be worth another visit if it has been a while for you.
