I'm going to have to disagree with the previous poster...I played 9 yesterday at ST and the greens were atrocious. Good luck having a put hold any line. The worst part is BC people see the conditons, they don't care to fix their marks. Really awful and Lakewood country should put some effort back to playing conditions. Fairways and sand were decent...won't be back for a few weeks until they get their act together

Today was a real HOT day , and I'm not talking about my game . It was HOT. We were a 5some and it took us about 5 hours to get a round , but for what it cost to play , you can't complain . I hope the price stays the same . They also have a new GREEN on the third hole , Par 3 . Beautiful !!! I thought I was in Tiger Woods back yard until I saw that ugly fence in the back ground . Over all , I thought the course was in good shap. Good job Lakewood !!!

Playing this course was a big mistake. Pace was horrible, waited after every shot. Played behind a 5some, where one of the players thought he was a teaching pro. He would stand behind each of the players and help them on their swing on every shot. This made them almost 2 holes behind.
Course was not in good shape, they must have a water restriction over here because everything was brown. I usually like playing here, but I will avoid it now.

Played here for the first time on an early-ish Sunday tee time for our foursome. We ntout on time but pace was a little slow. Not too bad for a muni course, but there were several times we were waiting, and I know we backed up the group behind us because of it.

The layout is nice. Not too much water really comes into play, but the trees can be punishing for severe miss hits. They are redoing the green on #3, so they have a temp up next to it, which is fair as far as temp greens go. The course is in good shape, especially for a city course. The fairways could use a little more water, and the rough is not consistent, but I did not hit off of too many bad lies. The greens are in very good shape. Looks like the regulars take the time to repair the ball marks. Overall, I had a lot of fun (shot well, so that may color things) and it was definitely worth the fee.

Played 7/23 Saturday morning. Easy walking course. Pro Shop staff very professional and organize. All the pin placement were for the tournament ready, tough coners next to the bunker. Overall the course condition was good. Played many times here and for the first time I thought the greenskeeper did not take care the greens. Very bumpy. Fellow golfers, please fix your ball marks on the green and it is OK to wave the next group on PAR 3 Holes.

I played Lakewod Sunday. The fairways were in decent shape and no very hard. The Greens were damp and soft but rolled decently if a little bumpy. I was disapointed at the condition of the holes. Either groups ahead of us just dug their balls out with a putter or the greenskeeper did a sloppy job cutting them. I wish that American golf would put just a bit more effort inot the course, like raking the bumkers in the morning or decently cutting the holes. But overall A fun if straightforward track i would play again.

The great quality of greens at public munis as compared with 20 years ago is truly remarkable. We are very lucky. When I played this course back then it was a joke. The ball would get airborne from the greens being so bumpy. Despite some sand and remnants of holes from aerifying the greens rolled very well. The rest of the course is in good shape.

Booked an internet special threesome this past Sunday (4/17), for a 1:18pm tee time. The clubhouse was friendly and on-time, but that's where the good time ended. Overall, the course is in good shape, and I should know because I had plenty of time to view the surroundings as we waited hole after hole for the fivesome, threesome, and fivesome ahead of us to muddle their way through the course. Without a marshall in sight, at one point we rolled up on a tee box only to find a lone straggler from the fivesome ahead of us taking his second and third tee shots of the hole (even running over to his cart to grab another ball as we stared in disbelief) while the remainder of his party searched for their shots down the fairway....Needless to say, four hours and 12 holes after starting, my buddies and I called it quits. After complaining to the clubhouse manager, we were given three vouchers for nine holes, but until they stop putting high-handicap fivesomes out on the course, this will continue.

Greens are in great shape. Very fast, very smooth, a little bumpiness to that but that is b/c golfers don't fix their divots. Fairways in good shape. No thin lies here. Sand in bunkers a little impacted but completely playable. Course is in great condition. Played Sunday at 8:30 and ran late for start. Finished around 2:30PM so not so slow. Course played long and had fun until the end. Happy to get out. Weather cooperated. Course played very well, I was happy about the greens and the overall condition of the course. My only complaint is if you are going to throw your club, please do not throw it in my general direction. I can understand you are frustrated but it certainly beats working so work out your aggression some other way. Why not break your clubs over your knee? Tell it who is boss, just don't throw a club. Because you will end up using that badly performing club again on another hole. Put it out of its misery and not use it at all. Break it in two and use a different club.
