Check in this morning was not to streamlined. I am sure they are working on processing
golfers as quickly as possible. Spreads between groups seem to be 20 mins, providing
plenty of safe spacing. Ground crew is still trying to hack down the rough and producing
large tufts of cut grass to hide balls in.
Forget any maintenance in bunkers. They look abandoned to the grass coming up thru what
sand is in them. Greens had many UNFIXED ball marks as if the bozos playing don't much
appreciate being back to the game I enjoy.
Ambassador seemed to be prowling about ostensibly checking space between groups. Thankfully, masks were not required on the course, but around the clubhouse you
better have it on!

Played yesterday the 11th. Driving range is open but the practice putting green is closed until further notice. Must wear Mask while using the driving range or being around the Pro shop area (pro shop was also off limits). Course is in very good shape except for the rough being a total nightmare. It was absolutely terrible, probably hasn't be cut for at least 6 to 8 weeks it was just to thick. If your ball went into the thick rough it was almost impossible to find but the good news is that the Couse was starting to cut the rough as we were playing so by next week it should be fine. Fairways were mowed very good and the greens were very nice to putt on. Bunkers were very hard and tough to get out of so we played the bunkers as "Waste Areas". Pace of play was a little slow. I guess with players losing their ball in the rough and trying to find it, it actually slowed down play a bit. Everyone had their own cart which was fine. I give this course condition a good 7 out of 10 being great except for the rough I give the rough a Zero. There you are "know before you go"

Andrew's review was on target, but I didn't have any issue with the greens, although you could certainly see they were recently punched. Maybe because I made a bunch of putts, they didn't bother me too much. Only in one bunker and it was well raked and had plenty of sand. Most of the fairways were decent, with the usual areas which were either bare or soggy.

I generally struggle with this course, particularly off the tee. No exception today, but when you make some putts, it sure "masks" poor ball striking

Played on 2-27-20 Fairways a bit dry and brown. Some of the greens had been recently punched which effected the Balls roll at times. Plenty of Sand in the bunkers but the course all around condition was fair around a 7 out of 10 (10 being great). This L.A. County course's Green fee prices are going up the 1st of the month. This course can be tough if your ball is not on the right part of the fairway for your approach shot.

Agree with what Weber posted. We played it on Tues 9/17, 7AM tee time. Staff is always friendly, courteous, and professional, specially the starter. The course conditions were as Weber described, POP was 3hr 45min, No one in front of us the 1st 9 holes, on the 10th a group was already on the green.

19th hole was pleasant, cold beer, split a club sandwich, Rosa was her charming self, always a pleasure having her serve us. We have known her for over 10+ yrs, met her when she worked at Diamond Bar.

While I have never been a huge fan of this course, it is probably the most interesting county course, a rather unique layout. Kind of fun, IF you execute the shots. No fun if you spray the ball.

Great pace of play, did not encounter any real "back nine" issues which was a welcome surprise.

Saturday round at Mountain Meadows and was very excited to get back to this slightly out of the way track that always provided nice memories of fun rounds in days past. Today was mostly no different, however we got off to a poor start when our twosome had only been logged as a single so we were sent out as a twosome in between foursomes and the round lagged forever thanks that unfortunate positioning.

When we were actually playing golf though and not waiting for one of two different groups in front of us (we were allowed to play through at the 9th hole), the course was in really nice shape and is a very good value for riding from the blue tees at just $45. It's a very fun layout with some really nice par 3s and some tricky approaches that require some solid mental work to get the most out of each hole. Mountain Meadows is not particularly long, but it is narrow, has a lot of elevations and blind shots, and punishes errant shots with a multitude of tricky collection areas.

The greens are in very nice shape right now and were rolling at a consistent medium-fast speed throughout the round. Fairways mostly green and the rough very forgiving, it's a pleasant surface to hit from for almost every shot. The trouble areas? Well, some of the tee boxes are a little shaggy and could use a mow, and the bunkers were inconsistent at best. Many had very nice sand in them and plenty of it, while some were thinner and the greenside bunker on 18 even had twigs sticking out of it to make matters worse.

Overall though, a very nice day out at Mountain Meadows and I really wish this fun track was a lot closer to my place. The drive out in the morning is not too bad at all, but coming back across LA traffic to the South Bay in the afternoon is a bit of a nightmare. I will be back though without a doubt.

I try to play the L A County courses frequently because of the value received playing as a senior. It's remarkable the quality of golf you can get for well under twenty bucks. Mountain Meadows can be a very polarizing course for people. However the views are outstanding, the diversity of the holes is excellent, and with the greens being as good as they currently are, difficult not to recommend this course.

The biggest downside is the pace of play, but if you get out early as we did, that does not become a factor. Not a lot of level lies, but that is just part of the nature of this place. While there are number of birdie holes out here, there are also a few that will bite you, and ruin a decent score.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
