Can't believe I've lived in SoCal over 40 years and never played this Course. Course is in fantastic shape! Best Sand Traps I've seen anywhere since the Pandemic. Greens immaculate! (fix your ballmarks boys and girls!). Fairways pretty lush. Where many Courses have cut back with maintenance while raising rates this one has maintained outstanding quality without breaking the Bank! I had no Course knowledge so it played tough. Will be back!

Played today at 7:20 and teetimes are spread out 10 min apart. Only a 2some went out in front of us and we didn't wait on one hole. Range is open. Great course to walk as it's only 6400 yards. Course in really good shape. Tee boxes have some bare spots but overall flat and good. Some standing water in some fairways but nothing to worry about. Traps were in excellent shape all things considered. Greens were running fast and in good condition. This is a LA County Course and these early tee times do not allow for the Senior Discount but my one buddy had no complaint because of pace of play, the very good course condition and the beautiful day in Pomona with the scenic holes. Lastly, Starter did ask if our foursome was from the same household.

Nice conditions currently at Mountain Meadows as we played our GK Cup team match there on Sunday, going out with two carts and playing from the blue tees. Range was open but not the putting green and they waited until five minutes before tee time to give us cart keys.

Fairways looking pretty sharp at MM right now, with a few thin areas here and there and some waterlogged portions after the tee shot on the par 5 11th hole. Bunkers were a mixed bag with some very thin and difficult to decide whether to play them as a sand shot or a chip, while others had some nice sand in them, like on the 10th hole. Tee boxes were mostly okay and the rough was a mixed bag depending on where you found yourself but nothing too crazy.

The greens were in nice shape with a few still showing the faintest signs of punching. The rolled perhaps a touch faster than they looked and some of the slopes here are very deceptively tricky. They don't look like much when you're lining them up, then the results are wildly different than what you anticipated. Good coverage to them though and not too many ball marks which was nice.

As FirstFlightFX-101 mentioned in his review, this is a very fun but tricky and demanding layout with all manner of doglegs and elevations, but also some very narrow tee shots that will require your best efforts. You're playing every club in your bag here without a doubt.

Cart service was nice to see twice on the back nine, but did not see any water stations anywhere on the course and you can only pick up snacks or drinks near the clubhouse. I would definitely play this course with a lot more frequency if it wasn't so far away from the South Bay. I'd recommend it with no hesitation at this time.

Played MMeadows 10/18, following behind thier men's club. Had a fun match with roarksown1, mcantos and kassper7. First time there for me. I like the layout; mature trees, plenty of elevation changes, doglegs, minimal water, and some key features that can't be taken lightly(holes 10 & 13). Putting green closed(d@mn), range open(mats), outside seating, no cash, and saw the drink cart twice. Clear skies and warm(the other GKer's all drove through 'pea soup' fog to get here). Tees, we played the blues, level & healthy enough, and not too chewed up. Fairways, healthy all around. Courses with this much elevation change usually have thier extra challenges of thin/bare spots and wet/soggy areas. We saw some of these, but there aren't too many(let's all avoid driving over and through them so they have a chance to heal). Rough, you will see it all here...penal to short, and don't count on getting the good 'member's bounce' from the hillside rough. Choose your weapon wisely to hit from it. Bunkers, sand. Pretty decent overall, I had some trouble getting out of, but that is all me. Why can't more courses have bunkers like this? Greensides, in good shape all around, no problem for short recovery shots. Greens, softer side and med speed. You can get the surfer's 'cresting wave' ball mark to fix. I had trouble reading the break more than the speed(I'll blame C19 and the closed practice green). I 3 putted way too much. Foam sleeve in cups. About a third of the holes had more extreme pin placements...red pins as far forward and blue pins as far back as possible(probably for the men's club). I think we finished in a little over 4.5 hours. Overall, happy with the conditions, and it was a pleasure competing here as well. Thanks to Robert and the guys for setting up this round here! Recommended.

Played mountain meadows this afternoon. Was just as good as i remember from last time i played.

Staff was great today. Lady checking us in was super sweet and accommodating for my 4th player running 10 min late.

Tee boxes were mostly evenish. Except for hole 9, all had lots of grass.

Fairways had very few dead spots. They were dry and really tight, but good overall.

Sand was okay. There was some sand in the traps, but not super fluffy.

Rough was nit kind to me, lost 5 balls that should have been found easily. All would ne within a couple yards of fairway, but would just disappear. They need to cut the rough down a bit so that i can find my ball.

Greens were nice. Not super fast, but very decent speed. Fewer pitch marks than i was expecting.

Pace of play was good. Right about 4 hours (4.5) including stop at the turn.

Will definitely play here again sometime soon. Really do love the layout of this course.

I played today with wsbell57 and colmcd. It was the first time here for all of us. As soon as we arrived we knew we were in for a very, VERY, long day. There were dozens of people just hanging around the clubhouse. They had run out of carts and everyone had to wait. We finally teed off 45 minutes late, at 1:45 pm. Conditions were mostly good. The fairways were completely lush. The tee boxes were in very good shape too. They were all flat though not all level. The rough was long in some places, short in others. The greens were not so impressive. I would have considered them in great shape but the ridiculous number of ball marks, leaves and the occasional pebble, made them bumpy and more than a bit frustrating. The layout was fun. There are a lot of doglegs, blind shots and elevation changes. Other holes were pretty straightforward, giving welcome relief after a more challenging hole. There are some nice city views on the back nine. POP was terrible- 5.5 hours. We waited on every hole for the group in front. The group behind us hit up on us many times, even after Bill asked them to stop as they nearly hit me and Kathy twice. I definitely want to play here again. Having some course knowledge will hopefully help me score better next time. I think I’ll only play on a weekday though, in hopes of a faster round.

Played Mountain Meadows with a good friend on 7/9. As a twosome, had an early morning tee time – 6:00 AM. Ugh! Don’t do a lot of these early morning tee times but my friend had some business to take care of after. No problem and off we went right on time. I walked but my friend rode and we still finished in 3 hours, waiting on no one and no one waiting on us. The course is very lush and green but most if not all is kikuyu. The fairways were cut down but still not much roll out. I hit what I thought were good drives only to find out I was hitting a mid to long iron for my 2nd shot. Tee boxes were in good shape and you could see they are over seeding certain areas. The rough was ridiculous IMO. Very tall and thick kikuyu. I know they are trying to make this a challenging course but c’mon, this was way too high. Yeah I know, keep it in the short stuff and you don’t have to worry about it but not many people do and to get penalized like this is unfortunate. Bunkers are very damp and un-kept but aren’t we used to that by now? The greens are in great shape. They hold nicely and roll just fine. Not real fast (unless downhill) but it was a treat to play on such nice greens. MM is a lot fun to play. Very nice layout with doglegs and many elevation changes but tough to walk unless you’re in shape (or a Billy goat). Especially on the back 9. We played the blues at 6,440 but it sure played longer. Still a great place to play. Don’t let my whining about the rough discourage you. Go play!

Sunday foursome at Mountain Meadows this past weekend. Got an online rate of $61 + cart through Golfnow.com, but when we arrived, there was an issue with them finding the reservation. Got it sorted out eventually but not after hearing many bad stories of them working with Golfnow.com - so why do they still do it? Anyway. Super fun track with lots of terrain variations, narrow holes, doglegs and just some plain fun ones. I always enjoy playing this course thanks to all of the unique holes here and some pretty cool views as well. The course is very green right now and holding up very well. Greens were in good shape but certainly not lightning fast with the exception of any of the well-sloped tiers - those tended to pick up speed pretty well. Not too many ball marks to contend with and the ball rolled pretty true and straight all day. No complaints there. Tee boxes were also in good shape and the fairways were very green and a pleasure to hit from for the most part. The occasional thin lie will be found, but for the most part it's in very good shape. There is also a lot of thick rough out there so finding your ball, even if you saw exactly where it ended up, can still be a challenge. I was also in many bunkers and their consistency varied throughout the day. Some were nice and fluffy-ish, while others were very thin and dicey. Adjust acordingly. If you're familiar with the course, know that the par 3 9th lake is currently drained and the entire pond is surrounded with yellow tape and considered GUR at present. I don't know how long this will be the case. But other than that, it all looks and plays very well. Small but useful and convenient driving range as well. Mountain Meadows gets a nice thumbs up for its present shape.

Played here for only my second time on Friday 6/26/20. This is really a great muni with all kinds of tough but fun holes. The par threes are all great and the lay out is not boring with doglegs, short holes, long holes, elevation changes, trees, and water hazards. I guess it has a little something for everyone. The conditions were a tick up from many other muni’s but many areas could use some TLC. Greens were great rolling semi fast and smooth. If you are not hitting your driver well then it can be a long day here. Consider playing the white tees for a more enjoyable round if the driver isn’t working........I certainly should have.....
