Played on 9/1/19 in the afternoon. Always challenging to play in the afternoon because of the wind. But playing this course so many times, the challenge makes it fun sometimes.

Course was in good condition. Fairway were overall lush. Rough was not to tall, but some places punished you being in the rough. The greens were punched a couple of weeks ago. Healing well, but a little slower than usual. I thought that the slowness made you think the way the grass grows and pulls the putt. Some uphill putts were smooth and faster that putting downhill because of that. Go in the sand a couple of times. Plenty of sand in the ones that I got in.

Cart lady came around a couple of times. It was good because it was a warm day.

Always fun coming here. This is one course that you don't have to worry about playing condition!

Played on 1/13/19. In between the rain, so expected to be wet on the course, and that is what I got. The great part of the day was, the guy in the clubhouse said the ball picker was down for the range, so he said we could go out and pick up balls, if we wanted to. So at the time when I went, no one was hitting on one side of the range, so I got a basket and ventured out on an easter egg hunt!

The course was in ok shape. Winter conditions on the fairway, occasional bare spots on the fairway, wet and muddy. Grass was somewhat consistent, but there were parts of the fairway that was longer. Rough was pretty much the same. The greens were the surprising part. They were slower due to the rain, but it rolled pretty smooth. The sand is tought to judge with rain. A lot of standing water due to the rain.

Hopefully the rain this week will help with the grass condition. Maybe in a month or so the course might look better.

Played with a bunch of friends on 12/12/18 with the Groupon voucher. $55 per person was a great deal!

As the review below, the course was in great condition. The greens were the best. Rolling true and fast. The word of the day among all of us was "NO down hill putts!" because it was that fast! Fairway and rough was in good shape, and the sand trap was also good. It had plenty of sand, but a little heavy due to the moisture. Tee boxes were also in good shape.

Would love to come down more to play this course. But with price is pretty steep especially for the weekend. I am going to look forward to the next deal that I can find and play it again.

Played for the first time on 9/10/17. Got a good deal off of teeoff.com for $62. For that price, it was worth it.

Course condition was pretty good. Fairway and rough was lush and green. Greens rolled pretty well and took shot pretty well. I didn't get in on any greenside bunkers, but the fairway bunker had good amount of sand.

Pace of play was a little less than 4 hours. The course was really empty when we teed off at 11am. No one in front of us all day. We let the single lady playing behind us go at the turn, and we didn't see her again! She must of been playing speed golf!

Interesting course layout. Definitely a target golf golf course. And knowing the course does help a lot in playing. And also some good views on the front 9. Will be going back in October to play a match play with my monthly group. Outside of that, I'll go back if I could get a deal I got on teeoff.com. The rack rate of $95 is a little pricey.

Hosted a small group tournament on 8/19/17. A lot of the players played the course for the first time and they were pretty happy with the course.

I've played once a week for the last 5 weeks (sorry for not writing a review!). And the course has been in good shape. Fairway and rough is lush, tee boxes are in good condition, and the greens are always smooth and fast. The greens take shots pretty well and reacts according to the shot that you hit. Bunkers are filled with good amount of sand, but maybe a little on the heavy side.

Customer service is always good. Marshall is always driving around to keep up pace. And they also helped me once playing as a single to jump a couple of holes and come back to play the 3 holes that I missed.

Couple of my group players said they were really impressed with the course and condition. With the 75 degree weather, they said that they would like to come back.

For me, this is the go to course for the summer. Beats playing in 100 degree weather in the Valley!

Played for the first time with my monthly group. It was a good day to go down because the weather was extremely hot anywhere not close to the water.

The course condition was great. Greens were rolling true at medium fast speed. Fairway and rough was lush throughout the course. Didn't get into any sand, but it looked like it was filled pretty well. Customer service was great. Saw the cart girl at least 3 times. The pro shop guy was from where I went to school in Buffalo, so we had a good 5 minutes conversation on local news.

I liked the course layout. Being the first time made it difficult to judge some tee shots that were hitting down and blind. It requires you to hit shots but you could still make mistakes and be ok on some occasion. Great practice facility. Grass range, 2 chipping green (one with bunker) and a huge putting green. I wish this course was around the corner from my house! A SoCal resident rate of $80 was a good deal for this course.

Played my first time with Gk'ers with the invite from JohnnyGK. I got paired with rgm2525 and GDR23 and I had a real good time playing with them.

I don't remember the last time playing the Vineyard course (probably 6-7 years ago). I remembered some of the holes, but most of them gone, so in someways it was refreshing to play this course. I got punished with OB's. But that is because of the way I am swinging right now (with no confidence after a dismal back 9 on Saturday at Black Gold). Golf course is wide, but still needing to hit good drives, especially on some of the long par 4 on this course.

As stated on others, we were warned about the greens being sanded. It was tough to putt on the slow greens. The ball didn't look like it wanted to roll at all! Some of the putts were hammered but it only went 2/3 of the way. The greens rolled well outside of that, so it should be in good shape after a couple of days of watering.

Fairway and rough was in good shape. Couple of the sand traps that I got in were a little on the heavy side but good amount of sand. Tee box was in good shape for the most part. Pace of play was great! Just over 3.5 hours walking, no wait, no body pushing us. We just teed up and played all day.

With the way the course is, it's a good course to come back. And Lakes looked also good so that should be another one to play soon.

Played on 5/13/17 with a friend visiting from Texas. He wanted something that he doesn't see in Texas, so he got the links style Rustic Canyon. For him, the wind and different style of golf hit him hard and his score wasn't very satisfying.

First time playing this year and was curious how the rain helped the course. The condition has always been good even in a drought, but I think it was better. The other thing I noticed is that the bushes are taller from the rain! The ball we found last year was lost in those bushes this year.

Greens were rolling really well. Fairway was in great shape. Rough was in good shape as well. Not much sand in the bunker, but I don't think I've ever seen this course with fluffy sand.

Definitely coming back to play here again. Love the layout, good condition, and a good price is always good!

Played on 5/12/17 using the GK coupons which dropped the price from $99 to $69. That was a great deal! First time playing the course to prepare for my monthly group, which we are playing on 5/20. Course condition was great. Greens were rolling really well and fast. Down hill putts were dangerous and could punish you if you didn't get the speed right. Fairway and rough was lush. Some rough were thick and long and that was punishing. Bunkers had plenty of sand on the couple the I got in.

I like the layout. Hitting shots is a premium at this course. But you have plenty of holes that you have to grip and rip to put you in a chance to get a score. Got some local knowledge from the twosome that's played there. Hopefully this is going to help my round next Saturday!

Played in the morning with my Dad. Just as the sun rose, we were out and playing!

I don't own a city card anymore, but my dad did for his senior discount. I booked online and payed the $5 booking fee (for the two of us a total of $10), but when they saw my dad's city card, they took the booking fee off! That was nice of them to do that.

The course was in usual city course shape for the most part. They punched the greens on 4/4 and it is taking a long time to heal! Still the greens are bumpy and a lot of holes on the green. Only a handful of holes had minimal holes on the green. So putting was a disaster all day. Other parts of the golf course looked lush and green. Couple of the bunker that I got in had a good amount of sand, but on couple holes that I passed by had the usual thick hard bunkers.

Always like the layout. Long but not too long. Wide but you need to hit some shots. Green is usually big, and not being close to the pin may cost you a 3 putt. I would give a little time for the greens to heal and come back for another early morning round.

Late review. Played on 4/16/17. Went to the pro shop and the reservation made the prior week wasn't there. But they accommodated and got us out before the tournament they had.

Course was ok. Fairway was lush but choppy grass. Rough was the same. The greens were really rolling fast and true. Down hill puts were killers!

Pace of play was just under 4 hours. No one in front of us and behind us. Played a smooth round of golf (probably the first time at this course).

Played on 2/19/17 for the 1st time in 4 years. The forecast said 0% rain, but that didn't happen! Sprinkled all day on and off.

Before writing the review, I will be honest. This is one of my least favorite course. I played because an annual tournament that I play in is going to be played here. The last time that I played was when they had the tournament on this course 4 years ago.

The course was doing OK after the heavy storm that we had. The course was overall soft, but not soaked. The best part of the course was the green. I came in thinking that it will be long due to the rain, but all the greens were cut and rolled true. It was extremely slow due to the rain, but I did expect that to happen. The fairway was fair. A little longer than usual, but I have played in worse condition on this course (5 inch tall fairway!). Noticed that some of the holes looked like they were punched before the rain. Few holes had huge bare spots on the fairway. The sand was packed, but that's expected after the rain.

In the 4 years that I haven't played, I saw some small changes. The front and back nine were flipped (again). The OB stakes between the current 4th and 5th (old 13th and 14th) is gone. 17th (old 8th) had an wood chipped area in front of the tee box.

More reviews to come. I will play this course until June...
