Played twilight on the Destroyer on Thursday ... $26 non-mil walking. Mcantos played and reviewed an early round here and he sums up course conditions as I found them except a few more footprints in the well conditioned bunkers and unrepaired ball marks on the greens ... probably fixed 4-5 per hole. Come on, people. Anyway, course is in generally good shape right now ... I like the Poa greens rolling medium speed with a few afternoon spike marks to navigate and just a tad fuzzy (late in the day). We got around at decent pace, a bit over 4 hrs with marshal out keeping things moving. Maintenance alert: Sept. 26 they punch. Still recommended.

Played on a cool Thursday morning with another gentleman by the name of Bill. Course was in very nice shape with the exception of maybe one tee box unleveled and had a few divots not sanded. The fairways were great, and sand in green side bunkers evenly raked and firmly packed. Greens were well taken care of, speed was about 10, not fast but not slow either. I fixed maybe 1 or 2 ball marks, but overall greens were very good to put on. Course has a great deal of doglegs both left and right and a very good layout. Staff was great and course was in fantastic shape, If you haven't played there in a while, now's a great time..

The course is in overall good condition. The greens had a dusting of top dressing that did not affect putting. The greens rolled good with medium speed and held shots. The fairways are in good condition with some small thin spots. The rough is in good condition along the fairways. Away from the fairways the rough can be a bit patchy in a few spots. The bunkers are fair to good. Some of the bunkers tend to get a bit compacted due to water. The tee boxes are fair to good mostly due to mild unlevelness. Destroyer has a flat layout with a nice variety of holes. The staff is friendly.

Played 7/6. Teed off late morning finishing in 4:40. The course has an enjoyable flat layout with a variety of holes. Water comes into play on several holes but the tiered greens are the challenge. The greens are in good condition. They rolled good with medium/fast speed and held shots. The fairways are in good condition with some small thin areas dotting the course. The rough is good along the fairways. The bunkers are fair to good. The tee boxes are fair to good due to mild unlevelness. There is a driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping green with a bunker. The staff is friendly.

The bunkers are fair to good primarily due to compacted sand. The tee boxes are fair to good with some mild unlevelness. This is a flat course with a nice variety of holes. The staff is friendly.

Twi-light round on the Destroyer, Wed. 5/4, PoP decent at 4.5, $26 non-mil walking rate. Found the course in decent shape today, good lies in the fairways, rough a mixed bag ... green but dry (need rain please). Greens were rolling true at medium speed, fairly consistent, and holding well struck irons. Made it into a couple GS bunkers which were not well kept and a bit thin ... must be very careful in there (had one flyer in #15 that cost me a couple strokes to ruin a good round). Overall, fun mid-week round at the Navy course with some buds always helps to break up the work week. Recommended. Still cannot rate ... give it a 6.5 overall, mostly due to greens which is very good poa right now.

Played Saturday. Greens and fairways in pretty good shape. Rough is always spotty at this course. Tee boxes were pretty beat up. Biggest problem was pace, 5 hours plus. Marshall was out there trying to move people along but a lot of people walking.

Nothing changed since my last round here. Greens are good, fairways well covered and rough is kind of hit or miss. The overall condition is fine, but still found some of the bunkers needed maintenance. I enjoy this course more, the more I play it! I feel it's a little pricy for what you get (non military fee) but it's Orange County, so what do you expect!

For whatever reason, I just don't play here all that often. I actually like the course, but maybe it's because they start their tee times so late (By my standards) Anyway, played early Monday morning and had a great time. While I was originally told I had the first time off, when I got to the tee, saw lots of people waiting and was told " They play everyday and always go off first, but they're fast so they won't you up. (I've heard that before!) Well, they actually did play quickly. We were just a twosome walking and took a nice easy pace and finished in 2:50, and NEVER waited once.

The course is in decent shape! Fairways better than most and the greens were for the most part smooth and true, but a few areas which needed some attention. There are a lot more undulations than I recall them having! Greenside bunkers were hit or miss, mostly miss. The areas around some of the greens were bare but were being addressed

Fun day even though I played like crap. I will have to return again sooner than later. Better course than I remember it being
