Wife and I played on Fathers day, 11:42am tee time. POP was about 4.5 hours. I felt that wasn't bad considering the holiday. So about the course and the previous review....Although the previous reviewer was a "bit" politically incorrect, the truth is it is pretty accurate. The management of this course is seriously trying to improve the course and the golfing experience. I see it....the Greens and Fairways are really looking great. New Sand is on order to in a few weeks or a month I am expecting the below average bunkers to improve.

Staff is top notch, all the way around. Good service and friendly attitudes.

The bad - a % of the golfers here just have NO CLUE about how to respect a golf course and other golfers. I dont mind fixing 5-6 ball marks every green, but dang..should I really have to? can't people fix their own craters and rake their own bunkers?

I appreciate this course and the efforts they are making on improvements. I will keep this course in my rotation.

Played Westridge Golf Club on Saturday. Have been wanting to play this course ever since I drove by it a couple weeks ago and it looked like it was in great shape. The guy in the pro shop was nice and helped us get out a little earlier than our tee time. Guy checking us in at the carts was also nice. The course was very enjoyable except for Hole 14 which was just stupid making you hit a 7 iron off the tee on a Par 5 caused by the split fairway. Tee boxes needed a mow and had some pretty bad divot damage on Par 3's. Fairways and rough were green and lush. Fairway bunkers were hard as a rock but the green side bunkers had a good amount of sand. Greens were bumpy on some hole but still had a good roll and pace. Here is the main reason Westridge is crippled by the people that play the course. Almost every person that tees it up at Westridge are new to the United States Asians. I don't mean to offend anyone but most off the people that play here don't speak a lick of English. They just don't know a lot of the proper etiquette of playing golf. I think this is why the pace of play is so bad and why the bunkers are never racked, the fairways have lot of unrepaired divots, and the greens are dotted with undug ball craters. All in all still a very fun course that you should go out and play.

Played today 6/4 7AM tee time, ahead of the Ladies Club. Customer service was good, young guy at desk was friendly and courteous. The starter (Don) was extremely friendly, spent a few minutes chatting about the conditions. Starting hole was reversed, started on 10, twosome went out as we got carts, followed by a single. Tee boxes were ok, not many divots, had been punched recently, same for fairways, they had been punched, and still have some dry areas but rolled good. The greens were lush, hardly any ball marks but were on the slow side (maybe 9 on stimp). As mentioned before they were usually around 10 - 10.5. Bunkers were hard packed but seemed like had more sand than dirt. POP was great 4 hrs, and senior rate of $40 was not too bad. Snack bar does not open early so if you need coffee or snack before you start bring it with you.

I played here on Saturday, June 1st. It was my first time to play there. I was paired up with a local golfer, who knew the course well. The course overall is nice. My only complaints were: the greens were extremely slow. I was told by my partner that the greens are usually pretty fast. He thinks that maybe too many players were complaining the greens were too fast so they are making them slower. I over heard that many of the regulars were complaining of the speed that morning. So maybe the condition of the greens were out of the norm that day. The other complaint was the bunkers. The sand was pretty hard. I only hit two that day but they were not as soft as I am used to. POP was alittle longer that I expected. 4:45. But we were playing from three different tee boxes, black, white, and red. We still kept up with the group in front of us. We saw the Marshall several times, so I assume he was trying to keep everyone at a reasonable pace. Definitely recommend getting a tee time through a discounted website.

This is the slowest playing course I have ever teed it up on. This is the 4th time I've played here, and never finished. Tee time at 3:27 pm, and we did not even come close! Great course, terrible management. Not even one Marshall to advance play. No beer girl, and a guy in the pro shop who charged me $15 for my wife to ride. He further advised me how the new management has implemented changes that have accelerated play. Frankly, I don't see much of a change, other than teeing off on hole 10. Great course, but the golfing experience is terrible! Frankly, it's a shame. It could be so much greater.

Golfed the back 9 on Apr 16. Courteous staff. Some kind of mix-up on my tee time through GolfNow but they arranged to get me out around my 730 am time. I think the Manager welcomed me and said to enjoy my round as I walked through the lot. Young fellow in the pro shot was nice and sorted my tee time out. Starter was accommodating too. Fellow at the driving range was great and no issues there either.

The back 9 are tight holes. It was in very good shape I thought, no issues. Actually followed around a guy working the greens and t-box (minor divot repairs, etc) Driver on maybe three of the holes and then you'll likely want to play iron off one or two others. The par 3s were basically 100 yard holes so nothing too challenging. Really liked the 17 and 18 holes as they were long and set up for a challenge.

Recommend this course if you hit town and want to find your game before getting onto the bigger courses around the area. Will go again

In addition to very good conditions, staff at the course are all very pleasant and friendly, especially the player assistant (marshal) by the name of Joel. Joel is super nice and very, very accommodating to my group and we like to say thank you!!

In looking for a course that had aerated 3 to 4 weeks ago, we settled on Westridge today. And we are glad we did. Twilight for $35 w cart (1PM twilight). Tee boxes level and clean; fairways cut with good roll and great lies; greens just great; sand traps big w good sand. Right when you drop your clubs off, through the pro shop, check in with the starter you are treated with great customer service. I had not played here for a long long time. Had heard this and that about the course over time, but whatever they are doing now, they are doing it right. I loved the course layout. 4 of the best par 3 layouts in S CA in my opinion. The front nine has some holes that are demanding as you play uphill and into the westerly wind. But you get some revenge on some of the downwind holes, that is if you don't get wild. And oh yeah, get a side hill lie that's in the rough (and I mean mean rough) you might remember words in your vocabulary you have not used for some time. The 4th hole has got to be one of the best risk/reward holes in S CA. Back nine has some great holes. Especially 14 a par 5 downhill. And 18 is one great finishing hole over water. I like the length for each tee (black/blue/white) as it seems appropriate for ones game if they know it. The greens are big with undulations and 3 putts are not out of the realm of possibility. I think this course is only going to get better based on a conversation I had with management. Looking for a new and challenging course that is not in the IE or up in the SF Valley? I think one needs to look no further. I know I will be back often, if conditions and service stay like this. Check it out for yourselves and see what you think. And one last thing? For those of you who either don't fix your own ball marks or those of the lazy ones who did not, stop playing golf and allow those of us who know what it means to fix a ball mark enjoy our golf. How anyone can not repair a ball mark on greens that are back in great condition is one of life's little mysteries to me.

Played on 3/31. Seems harder to find cheaper rates on this course these days but this is the best management the course has had that I could remember. 7:40 tee time. finished in about 4.5 hours. Free breakfast before the round. Starter had everyone start on hole 10 first. Entire course is lush. Fairways in great condition. Bunkers are nice. The greens are significantly slower but in great shape. Definitely worth a visit.
