Pros- Greens rolled ok, not to many pitch marks but slower than average. Some nice layout of holes and not a bad day to play. Pro shop is ok. Number 18 fountain and layout is a great hole. POP was fine, just about 4 hours
Cons- Course is overseeding boxes still, tees were in goofy spots. Sand was a bit crusty. Rough and fairways were not grown in fully and needed some more work.
Overall, its not a bad layout and I would come back and play, if it meant that there were not more desirable options out there.

Played on Thurs 9/27. BEWARE: They started seeding the greens and punching the greens and some fairways. The course was in fair condition. Rough was long, fairway was decent. Greens need help! As usual, new starter, new management....seems like every week its someone new!

I agree with others, seems like every time I am there as well it's under new management and no one knows what's going on. Its very poorly run and occasionally no starter so its chaotic. They also use to have pin locations on each cart and they got rid of it. Now its just red, white and blue flags. I think this was a huge mistake getting rid of pin locations.

The only upside is the $30 special around 11am with cart. Otherwise I wouldn't play here a couple times a month. It seems like no one cares about the course, people don't fix divots nor do they rake bunkers. It could be a very good course IF people would just take the time and fix after themselves.

Every time I play this course, it seems as if it is under new management. That being said, the course itself is in very good shape.It's grown out a bit and could use a little cutting in places, but overall the fairways were nice.They were wet in places. The tee boxes were level and grown out a little, too. Only a couple of tee boxes had unlevel spots, and they were par 3's. A lot of the sand traps had recently been filled with new sand, and it was deep. Others were awaiting their fill of sand. The pro shop was bare bones basic - not like the old days. The green fee structure is screwed up. There is a big sign with "Summer Rates", but above these rates (which are reasonable) they list the "rack" rates which are there for one reason only - to preclude anyone from trying to use a discount card or book based on a percentage of the "rack" rate. This is BS at it's worst! It is NOT a $78 course on a weekday - no way, no how!!!!!!!!!! Senior rate was $42 - reasonable, but should be about $35 like Empire Lakes or Los Serranos. Overall, a good experience.

I've played here twice in the last month, just to get out and keep my swing together. For $19 at 5pm, I figured it can't be that bad. First time I played we got out before the super twilight crowd and didn't catch up to people until hole 5. Yes, there was four of us and we were informed the groups ahead had at least a 4 hole lead on us. I think the problem with the pace of play here is that the Koreans think they are better than they really are. They like to play the Tips and can't drive the ball more than 200 yards. I don't get it, what's with the Ego? There's a sign that says that you should be a 7 or under handicap to play the blacks. Yet, when I see you taking your fourth from a 100 yards out I don't think you belong in that club. The ball marks, divots in the fairways are never repaired and the bunkers are never raked because it is beneath them to do yard work? At the rate this course is deteriorating, it will be closed before the end of 2013 if not sooner.
This new management hasn't been watering because the water bill is $40,000 a month. Do they know they own a golf course? Here's the reason behind this madness, 1) Everything is subleased. Driving range has a different owner. Snack Bar has a different owner. Restaurant has a different owner. How can this operation run smoothly when you have no control of the limbs? Get it together because at $19 I would rather just go to the range and practice then ever play here again.

Played Westridge 7/23 and though I like the course, I was somewhat disappointed at the pro shop, snack bar, and other amenities. I haven't played it in a few months, and it sure has changed. The pro shop -- not much of anything, especially for women. The snack bar -- one of my friends asked for a banana. No banana, so he asked for a hard-boiled egg. No egg, so he asked for a beer. No beer!!! On the course, no water in the jugs, but there was ice in there. Since I am obsessed with filling in divots, I could not do it, because the containers did not have any sand or fillers in them. Don't know what is going on at Westridge, but if they don't improve, they may find themselves with less players.

Played for $47 and got off around 12:40pm. Word to the wary: call beforehand to see what the pin placement is going to be for the day. If it's #5 just run away because you are going to be in for a frustrating day. Pins were in places that hikers would be afraid to go.

Conditions: Greens were a bit bumpy (afternoon Poa, so this comes as no surprise) and thankfully a bit on the slow side making downhill putts manageable. Lots of divot damage (FIX YOUR FRIGGING BALL MARKS PEOPLE!!! GAHHHH!!!) but many of those were fixed by our group. They were green though so that's a plus (Hooray!)
Fairways had about 3-4 different kinds of grass BUT the surface wasn't too bad. There werea couple burned out spots but for the most part lies were very playable.
Rough was pretty nice around the greens but quite thin off the fairways where the over-seeded rye was almost nonexistent and the bermuda was barely longer than the fairway.
Bunkers were good with plenty of sand but prone to buried lies
Tee boxes were pretty beat up (Par 3s especially) and several were uneven making tee shots a bit of an adventure.

I wouldn't recommend the course on conditioning since there are better options available for the price, but the layout is intriguing and each hole is unique. I think it's worth a visit but I would give it a few months to see if conditions improve under the new owners.

Played 5/26 at 11:30, ripped around in 3.5 hours. That never happens here! Saw a beverage cart when the round began, but not again for the rest of the day. The staff were all friendly and accommodating.
This course is a tale of two nines, especially on windy days. The front nine is exposed on a steep hillside, while the back nine winds back into a bit of a valley. A strong wind really steps up the level of difficulty here...make sure to club up or down accordingly.
Course conditions were quite good. The tee boxes have seen better days, many are not very level and have a bit of damage. Other than that, though, I find nothing to complain about. Fairways were tightly-mown with no dead or dry areas; rough was lush but short, not much above fairway height and easy to play from; bunkers were filled with nice sand; and the greens were rather quick and rolled true.
As mentioned in the previous review, the greens are VERY receptive. Most well-struck approaches will create a very deep pitch mark and not move far from that spot. Of course, a lot of people on this day didn't care about fixing these craters, including a golfer I was paired up with. Very frustrating. I fixed 2-3 per green, and the course super was out roaming the course fixing everything he could as well.
Received a $49 w/cart deal to play this course...I feel it was worth it on this day. I will be returning.

The golf course was in rather nice condition, although the greens were a bit bumpy at times. They were very receptive and held all the shots very well! Overall the course was in some of better condition I can recall.

I enjoy this course because if you play reasonably conservative, you can score pretty well here. While there are opportunities to make "big numbers on holes. smart play is rewarded, and you can go fairly low here. Surprisingly the pace of play wasn't too bad, which has not always been the case. Fun golf course!
