Played the Gary Player course on 9/22 afternoon. POP was under 4 hours. Course is in good condition (summer bermuda grass conditions). Greens were not fast, but the ball rolled well. The course had hosted a junior tournament in the morning (all players walk) so that explained the unfilled fairway divots (but even though I found myself in one, it didn't affect my shot). My wife and I enjoy this course as the front tees are under 5000 yards for her. The $30 price was, in my opinion, an excellent value as well.

Played the Player course as part of a stay and play package with the gf. I love that they have ladies tees under 5000 yds, the lady could actually reach the green in two on a few holes.

Service was great, no one out there so we basically had the course to ourselves at 8am on a Monday (6/24). Played it in about 3.5 hours. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape, a few burned out areas in the fairway, but none that affected play. Greens are a bermuda/rye mix maybe? Not too knowledgeable on my golf course turf, but I do know that they were much different than putting on the bent or poa annua greens in SD. They were firm in that approach shots didn't leave ball marks but you could hold a shot into them. They rolled pretty true and were actually pretty easy to two putt on just couldn't make many over 5-6 ft.

I loved the layout, suited my eye better than the Dye course . Less houses on the course and overall a more enjoyable course for me. You could get into trouble if you weren't careful, I rolled into a few lakes I didn't think were in play and if you stray too far you could be in OB trouble.

Overall I highly recommend the course, especially if you are playing with the wife or gf. She was cursing me after Silverrock (bunkers and more bunkers) and loving me after the player course. Plenty of deals to be had, you've just got to hope for the weather to cooperate this time of year. I've played it in 115 and this time is was a comfortable 95-98.

Played on Thursday June 13 for our 2nd 18 of the day. Played as a 3 man scramble and I loved the course. The course was ready for us as we arrived and made sure we got out early. Customer service was great! We payed $30 for the afternoon tee times and is was more than worth it, The course was in great shape and I loved the greens. Tee boxes - in good shape, I can't rememeber if anything was not up to standards, so they must have been good. Fairways - Never a bad lie in the fairways, and the ball sat up great. Nice and green. Rough - not to penal, grass is abut a inch long, but is a little thin, as this was a scramble we only had to hit out of it once. Greens - Though they are many shades of green and look like they would be bumpy, they were anything but, the ball rolled smooth and true. They were fast, and was so much fun to put on. The ball did not hold great, but they did hold. I wish I could putt on these greens more often. Bunkers - looked ok, but we were not in them, so I can't give a good reveiw. Pace - 3.5 hours, with a few singles playing through. the housing blocked some afternoon wind and once the ball was up in the air, the wind affected the balls flight. Everybody in our group loved the course, the challenge was just right, some holes made you think but were not unfair by any means. I really look forward to playing again here next month.

Amazing how the course can be in better shape since last we played. Tuesday, May 28 0630 four of us teed off for 3+50 round hosted by superb playing conditions on a fun layout with enough challenge for everyone.
Lush, green, manicured expertly and perfect greens, as we were the first out; luxury. Stimping 11 (?), firmish yet holding alright, the greens were smooth and true. Beautiful fairways, lush rough around 1.5 inches, and nice sand all around. Good drinks cart attendance ALL day, as we looped twice, it was sooooo nice. Great prac-fac, staff, and solid golf made the day.

what can i say...played "the Black Knight" course on May 18 and it was breathtaking. We played here last yr and of course we wanted to return. was very impressed on condition, same as last yr, even better on some hole. a wonderful weekend to be able to play both Pete Dye and Gary Player Signature courses. Enjoyed it!!!

Tee time 720am. the tee sheet was stacked and we were behind a 2some and a 3some. Surprisingly, everyone was playing fast (gee, i wonder why.. maybe the PS heat? lol) Anyway, we got on the 1st tee at 715 to see the group in front tee off. and after the 4th holes, didnt see anyone - in front or behind us. totally very cool - like the whole course to yourself. We finised around 1035. Greens were firm and hard. Approach shots tend to roll off the green. I am always surprised on how green the golf course is. i believe they use a variant of bemuda that is resistant to the heat and able to keep the greens in great shape despite the hot weather. Temp reached 100 at the peak of our play but the slight breeze and the cold water help ease the effects of it. Bunkers could use some help as they were heavy and some were bare with roots of trees showing. Overall, great design. There were some short par4s that are birdie op but be careful as trouble lurks if you are not careful. Great staff as well. EVeryone was helpful. You do see a lot of houses so be careful of your shots. They staked the houses on the holes as OB. Overall a great experience and certainly recommend playing here.

This course is like the diamond in the rough. Situated off the Westin's resort complex,
it appears from the drive up to be a local muni. Once past the temp looking facilities,
the course stands alone as the best of the two properties. This is not only the better
challenging but the best looking of the two Westin courses. From drive in to drive out,
I thoroughly enjoyed my time on this golf course!
